I remember the teething pains of DDR4 and my own frustrating experience with a 2011 V3 motherboard. Offhand I'd say things have gotten marginally better stability wise.
That is a nice summary of some interesting new components. I found the hard way to always go to my MB maker's website and view their QVL memory list. This is to ensure the memory I want to buy is compatible with my new MB. My user manual suggested doing this before I purchase memory.
Good video, now I am shopping for that ASUS motherboard as I have had a terrible time getting 3 different memory kits stable on my gigabyte motherboard

3200MT/s, but with heavily tweaked timings.
What’s your timings on that ?

@@theonlyredspecial okay, use imgur and add /a/UqDThTP - nothing to write home about performance wise, but the settings are rock solid stable.
@@theonlyredspecial a/UqDThTP appended to imgur and you can see the timings.
dont know about anyone else but these things are so exciting to see online - pushing speeds to the limits
I love the start, leo pushing mat to get the crap out of the way first. lols
Incredible speeds, exciting to see how close to 10k now these kits are !
So close!
You guys need to review literally everything in this room.
That CAMM2 memory looks interesting. Hopefully it gets adopted more industry wide.
Never heard of these guys before thanks for the coverage.
great vid ! that screenshot is insane !
Having a physical backup device for a phone is such a nice idea. Negates the need for a PC and helps avoid having to pay ridiculous cloud backup fees.
I remember the teething pains of DDR4 and my own frustrating experience with a 2011 V3 motherboard. Offhand I'd say things have gotten marginally better stability wise.
almost 10k holy sh!t thats insane
Very important to get memory correct right at the beginning. Can affect stability and performance.

Been there, had the nightmare with so many memory sticks that should have been fine but weren't
@Bellestronsse It's a shame that many PC builders don't know that.
@@outlet6989 Too true!
Impressive ! keep them coming enjoyed the vids this week
Glad you like them!
From what I’ve read, reviews seem mixed on Patriot Ram. Mostly with the EXPO profiles and quality of the heatsinks/thermal past
Your videos are so helpful!
Nice range of products looks like they are covering every market.
That IS an array of curious and interesting products!
Interesting stuff keep it coming guys!
There are some lovely custom builds there.
Love the design of those extreme chips.
I love this aspect of the industry. A display of flat memory chips. Fantastic.
If you cant get excited over a display of memory you must be dead inside.
Its looking like it’s going to be a really good year.
That phone backup usb stick is fantastic. It is exactly the sort of device spies use!
They used something like that in Paddington in Peru!
Awesome speeds, very impressive 🤓
Thanks for the visit
Lots of information trying to digest it all!
Quite like the look of those external drives.
great video, amazing how much they are pushing speeds now with these sticks
The phone USB thing looks like a security nightmare.
Got to love some RGB memory.
KG rock, love this channel
Wow this stuff is FAST.
I need some extreme memory goodness for my PC.
That board from ASUS is amazing, got one !
Viper Extreme 5 looks good nice and silver and plain, would look good in my white gigabyte board
Cool.
Never heard of them, where have I been for 40 years Leo !!!!
Thats some really fast memory! Hope the new platforms will take full advantage of the extra performance.
Leo - love the britishness of your presentation
He is so proper with his pronunciation.
Great video, learned a lot there
I know RGB memory adds no function over normal memory but ir just looks so cool. If only it emitted light functionally.
One day we'll get holographic optical memory like HAL9000 uses. Microsoft have already started using glass memory for archival storage. Cool stuff.
temperature limits for the form factor
holy smokes - thats just madness - is there an indication of the voltage to get these speeds?
Good video, now I am shopping for that ASUS motherboard as I have had a terrible time getting 3 different memory kits stable on my gigabyte motherboard
Glad I could help
When is all this coming to market? Is it available in the UK?
Feel like non RGB patriot memory is just a bit of a missed opportunity.
Think Id part with extra to get the RGB versions of this RAM.
liquid house build looks incredible, best system ive seen !
Yeah thats a stand out from the show so far.
Does this stuff work with every manufactures motherboard or are these new platforms fussy?
Are they the same level as corsair stuff?
what is ycruncher for?
What exactly is that camm2 prototype supposed to do? I dont get it.
So is CKD memory specific to Intel or is it going to work with AMD or vice versa?
When I see the video about RAM, I wanted to ask guys. Is there any 2x48GB kit that has Hynix A die yet?
Thats the trouble with these new platforms. You need to change EVERYTHING in your existing system to upgrade.
Thanks Leo -good vid !
Glad you enjoyed it
Had no idea Patriot had been around for so long!
Who makes these super fast memory chips? It is not Patriot is it?
Obviously not, also it's in the video, SK Hynix.
has anyone broke the 10k MTs speeds yet? I dont keep up with the overclockers.
I dont understand how that CAMM2 memory is supposed to work.
Thanks Leo, that Maximus Z890 Apex board is pretty epic - doesnt get a lot of attention
I saw a video from ces and corsair has some rams with 10k.
No idea on how much any of these cost?
bequiet build in the middle of it all - how bizarre
I like patriot but they have poor representation in my country - hope to see you guys doing more with them in 2025
So what exactly does CKD mean?
Client Clock Driver. Basically means its faster
Hope Intel sort out the teething problems with their new platform. Reckon its going to turn out to be a bit of a diamond.
Lol he said swish.
Shouldnt we be on DDR6 now?
DDR7
RGB on RAM is just so pointless it really annoys me.
Technology is pushing ahead so fast in regards to memory bandwidth, wont be long before 10k+ is commonplace on most enthusiast grade systems
never heard of, or used ycruncher before - some insane results, I thought my own memory at 6600 was pretty quick, but I feel like a child now
I gotta get me one of those boards - amazing stuff
Wow, insane memory speeds - it likely wont impact gaming too much I assume
people never talk about memory, huge performance boost if you get it set up right ! and not TOO expensive (well compared to GPUs and CPUs anyway)
Thanks Leo - crazy speeds - I thought my 6000 MT's was good :(
LP CAMM 2, the future of memory IMO
Agree its better packaged.
Those are some timings - 46-29-29-77 2T - would be great to have seen some bandwidth tests however
I do like the looks of that motherboard f or a new build - Are patriot selling that memory kit in europe? would love to get memory to 9000 even
Would love to know the voltage that kit is running at to get those speeds
Anyone looking at this in 2030 and wondering what all the fuss is about? I am ! just got into my time machine
Where can we buy the extreme kit ? I already have that motherboard - want this kit too - is the bios version just a default public version?
Whats the voltage?
29-29-77T timings - holy crap , thats as loose as the girl down our street
😂
whats so special about the 40 years memory, is that samsung memory?
Extreme 5 40 years - some memory kit that - how much is it - and why 48GB? weird sizing - is it faster than 64GB?
Most of the video was a bit dull, but that board and memory combo seems to be the dogs balls
Christ, my computer looks so slow - I hate these CES and computex videos to be honest- does my head in seeing how crap my system is
Mine is verging on ancient but it still does what I need it to!
8000 speed is nice but i dont like the branding, at all.
9600 MT/s why was MHZ canned? been using it for years
Always on ASUS. boards - no MSI or Gigabyte junk there !
They are all pretty much the same.... And lets not talk about components being soldered to the motherboard the wrong way.
@@philipjfry628 Just as long as they honour the warranty.
