Originally seen on "ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS" in 1960. Charles Ruggles is "Aesop"; Daws Butler is "Junior" and assorted voices; Bill Scott is the "Lion" and other assorted voices. Dennis Farnon provides a music score {very rare in Jay Ward cartoons at the time}.
This must've been one of the first Aesop and Son episodes. It was animated in-house at Ward Productions, while most of he others were animated in Mexico by Gamma Productions.
In fact, in the whole history of the studio, ONLY "Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties" had any recurring music (again by Farnon.) Dudley and Aesop I believe BOTH appeared in 1960.
Who ever animated this is a GOD!
At 4:30 Leo De Lion is a reference to a voice actor and musician NOT used by Ward but used at the time for "Top Cat" by Hanna-Barbera.. Leo DeLyon!!
