You can tell Forrest Fenn will not lie ,even when he feels he misled he stops and explains further. I hope the world will remember a man who gave the trill of the chase to many. By doing so he gave priceless wisdom to all who listen . He did his best to get families out into the wild where spirits run free.
Does anyone else secretly wish that Forrest Fenn was their Father/Grandfather? I could listen to his stories and advice ALL DAY! Amazing, how much a stranger can feel so close to your spirit and not even know you exist. He such a warm breath of fresh air. Thank you, Forrest, for everything you've taught me over the years and for the confidence to travel to unknown places to learn new thoughts and ideas of my own. Thank you 🤠
@ANNO DOMINI , Thank you! I will always have a special place in my heart for him. We share a very similar view on the mystery and fascination of the history of anthropology and how people lived their everyday lives. He also has such an amazing and creative mind when it comes to business as well... he's a natural. His wisdom is so inspiring to me. It allows me to really open up to accepting and embracing my failures as long as I pluck out the wisdom from the situation. Wisdom is sometimes the only gain you get when you fall. With that in mind, you can find positivity in even the hardest failures in life. Once again, thank you, Mr. Fenn!

This is so much like watching a guru laugh at his disciples as they overcomplicate everything. Forrest reminds me of Swami Prajnanpad, Arnaud Desjardins guru...
If I found the chest... I would drive myself to Santa Fe and contact Fenn first. This is Fenn HIS legacy. Fenn would know what to do as far as the treasure. I would want to meet Forrest Fenn! Yes, that would be important!

In thrill of the chase he says, “I asked for D’s on my grades.” One person who also writes like Fenn found a place with bluffs and a canyon with a place with a place that is a “D” shape. I found that comment about the D in the video that the lady asks at the beginning curious so I did research.
At 4:45 Forest said that the Electrical engineer name Christ Frida (I think), he is from "Back East"... Does that sounds familiar?. Recently Forest said that the person that found the treasure was from "Back East". could be the same person?.
I picked up on that too. He said Chris Lafeida. Look him up, he actually has video of him finding the location of one of Fenn’s downed planes which he talks about here.
I found the treasure! It is located in the Thrill of the Chase - page 105! "When this realization hit me , at last I knew it... If I cannot enrich those with whom I interact each day and cause them to be better for my having passed their view, then I have wasted my turn (on this earth). That I succeeded in this endeavor is not as as important as it is for me to make a solid try. For if the try is sincere I have succeeded in whatever failure resulted." - Forrest Fenn This is an amazing nugget that I have added to my own treasure chest of what is valuable in my life. "For where your treasure is there will your heart be also." Thank you Mr. Fenn! I was in Santa Fe recently on my way home from photographing sandhill cranes at Bosque del Apache Bird Refuge and unsuccessfully tried to find Mr. Fenn to thank him for this wonderful insight. If anyone who visits this site and reads this, please pass on my sincere gratitude for his wisdom. I read the book as it was loaned to me by a friend who was seeking the treasure. I was intrigued by Mr. Fenn' s experiences and insights, the most important of which is listed above. I was not in need of seeking money or in the need of adventure as I have just completed a 32 year career in wildlife management - But I do hope people who read the books will evaluate what the treasures are in their own lives and do as Mr. Fenn suggests and that is to enrich the lives of others!
I just noticed that at 11:50 when Kristy wants Forrest to confirm that the finder will own the chest AND the gold, not only does Forrest NOT say "yes" he specifically reminds Kristy that the poem only mentions the gold, and then states, "there is a SUBCHAPTER ESSENCE." Now we seem to have confirmation that (perhaps) he wants the chest and/or other items returned!!! What do you all think?? (I'm in the chat rooms. I'm the NYC high school Earth Science teacher (25+years) . .( there is another Laura in the chat room.)). He further states that if you rent a cabin on private property you can use the facilities but do not own items on it----perhaps further proof that he will have the right to ask for pieces back !!!
it's two things , the treasure and the chest are two different things, if you find one of them he'll give you title to the gold. Don't look for a chest IMO , look for a jar with anonymous transfer of landownership in it, then dig out your treasure on your new private property. From this interview I believe he has the actual treasure, if you find the box it prolly has a note or something in there to contact forest to give the phrase or code or whatever it is and he will give you the gold because he and the poem sez title to the “gold” not the other items in the treasure box.
Well I hope he's checked up on it.. If I found a title to gold I'd treat it as a joke and probably lose it somewhere. I was expecting Forest to be a tough Johnny Appleseed character but he looks like a Floridian business man.
@@CJM-rg5rt Has it ever crossed your mind that your words have power? Forrest might read your comment. What you said is really inconsiderate, or at least calloused. Build people up. It should be easy enough to do with people that excite or inspire you.
11:44 what does Forrest say about the title to the gold? I can't quite make out the words. "There's a lot of sub-chapter essings to that rule too (??) -- but I don't want to go there"
Kpro Minute 18, he doesn't say drive. Also at minute 9 in Cynthia's most recent vid (2/3/20) at minute 9ish he also doesn't say drive. Hope you know, I'm NOT trying to nit pick, only analyzing for clarity and other possibilities. Thanks to you all we have video and are able to do so!
20:36 He says that he shut down Montana, WYOMING, and northern Colorado. Is he saying that he previously ruled out those areas? I thought the treasure was eventually found in Wyoming. But if he had previously said it wasn't, that makes me think all the conspiracy theories may be right. That it was in New Mexico and then moved? That would make me so sad. I want this to be a totally pure story without any of this mess about rehiding it.
Great Share, Great Post!!!! I find a very interesting and new comment located at 13:40. Does Forrest just confirm that it's in a NP or NF? In a place we would pay(RENT as he puts it) an entrance fee, to use and enjoy the space for a said amount of time? Does this quote answer questions like "legally would the finder own the chest and contents"? This is an exciting new turn of events....Even Preston says he's never heard Forrest say this before...well say something but I believe he's refering to this quote . Great stuff...keep it up Kpro and CowLazars
I think you guys are overthinking it... he was talking about the legality of actually taking the abandoned chest if the land switch from public land to tribal or government land. Has nothing to do with renting a house in a certain town
What's everyone's take on dougs comment about the new clue? my thought is the comment by Forest when he said you start the chase by getting in your car and driving to the first clue. This confirms that wwwh can be driven to? What do you think?
My take on the new clue? (Why care about others opinions?) The more interesting statement was cutting off MT. WY. and N. Colo. And Prestons is obviously referencing that comment. Combined with questions with Cynthia (?) asking her why she discounts New Mexico? (not a direct quote). But most interesting is what is it that Doug Preston knows that no one else does? How could he make such an emphatic "bold" statement? He cannot without having inside knowledge. Take a guess as to the new "clue" from the interview. But Preston knows something. Do the early searchers from say 8 years ago have the same information from FF that we do today? Of course not. The Chase is patently unfair to say the least and FF didn't anticipate very well. This Chase is FF's so he can do it anyway he wants. But the questions being asked these days makes one wonder about this "adventure" Doesn't it?
@@sms1949 My take on "shutting down MT. WY. and N CO was simply staying to shut down the search season until spring. FF has made reference to this meaning the search season.
@@josholsen645 Think it through. Hopefully it was a safety issue. But what about N. Mex and S. Colo? Snow there also. Winter conditions in the Rockies are quite similar at high elevations. Interesting to know about what went throught ff mind when making the statement.
@@sms1949 The lady was searching in weather that was 1 degree F, its not as cold towards the southern areas he mentioned. In MANY Q&A Forrest has mentioned to call the search off until Spring. In my opinion, he was telling people not to go out in those dangerous elements. It's your solve, but I wouldn't take that comment as gospel - or a clue.
I've said that myself... seems pretty sketchy that they withhold information for themselves until they deem their own time and edits to release these things... never again.
Not at this time, we are using some for the documentary. Those are being cut out for now. We are trying to bring a lot to the community and grateful for all the positive feedback for a clear majority.
@tester account you're pretty damn rude for making comment without doing any research. And if the chase is something you've been apart of then be grateful theres a community that will share anything at all.
@@dr.dazzle5183 I don't think there's any reason for either of you to be this upset. I just think Forrest should require anyone who interviews him by video to release an unedited uncut version and if they want to they can also release whatever finished cut up product as well. This way we can verify for ourselves no information is being withheld.
..Forrest said the plane crashed 55 seconds after he ejected. Why did he not say a minute after? Why so precise: 33 1/2 inch canvas? 8.25 miles north? title to the gold? etc.
Surely at the speed the plane was flying, another 5 secs would take it miles farther away. The location was achieved by precise timing not guess or round up. IMHO
Cowlazars go listen to this video around the end and he does mention like if you could rent something would you be able to leave the property with it and he mentions people are overlooking New Mexico and he says I closed off Utah, Colorado and Arizona
Stratton of the River Valley I cant remember but he does say people skip over Santa Fe and he says quote on quote I’ve told people no longer Utah, Wyoming, Montana or Colorado. I will rewatch.
Stratton of the River Valley 20:39-20:43, I have shut down Wyoming, Utah, Montana and Northern Colorado then he continues to say that people tend to over look New Mexico.
No such thing as a lead searcher, thank God he said that it’s so insane to hear delusional narcissists say I’m the lead searcher or I was, and numerous people self proclaim themselves as such. It really brings the crazies out
Hey I have a fun exciting idea. Is there a way Forrest Fenn would release the information to you and a group of us go to the spot and create a time capsule that is a chest I have where each of us add an item for generations to come find? Then in the time capsule add the fenn books as items because he started the chase. I think it would be a great idea to bury a time capsule with each person who loved the chase. So we all add a piece of our hearts into the chest? This would make his heart happy.
It has been solved but my understanding Fenn refuses to confirm it. There is no box in the rockys. Its more about solving a complex visual artistic puzzle then presenting your answer to him and he will then give title to the gold but he is currently being sued in Federal Court in New Mexico. Case no. 19-cv-01124. Brian Erskine who is a party to the case filed a 78 page answer explaining in detail the answer and how fenn refuses to admit it is solved and pay up.
In the interview Forest said he got the treasure idea from, what sounded like “Racho Renn”. This was at 19:50-53. Does anyone know for sure what he said?
Ralph Lauren gave him the idea in saying ‘you can’t take it with you’. He knew him and he happened to come look at some of his collection. This gave him the idea to pass some treasures on by way of a hunt. That’s all.
Didn't Douglas say one time that Forest's first version of the poem was too easy? If he doesn't know where the chest was heading how would he know it was too easy? Answer: He knew the state.
@cowlazars what do you think it’s most important clue in the poem? You said “yes” like it gave you a huge hint, but essentially English is hard to define and I don’t think you can even unlock the last clue without finding the treasure. And they (let’s be real; HE /HIM; Forrest said it) didn’t find the treasure without finding the blaze. Looking for something is not as important as being. Adventure is not outdoors, adventure is within.
How will he know when it’s found? Does he live five minutes from it? Does he have cameras inside the erasure chest or surrounding it? Truly how will he know if he’s too old to go in search of his own treasure?
There is something in that chest that he is not willing to talk about. In the end the person who finds that chest will have a tough choice. Settle for what is in the chest and not redeem that extra fortune, or simply cash in the bonus and then the financial institution is going to notify Forrest or the heirs that some one has found the chest. As I see it, the treasure is probably worth close to 750,000 since the majority of its content is gold. All it takes is something else in the treasure chest that can survive the elements and be worth as much or more than the chest. It could also be attached to that Sub chapter S's comment where there is a stipulation of some sort that would make the owner of the chest come forward to claim the bonus. I guess it depends on whether some one wants the publicity or the privacy.

You guys obviously cut out the piece immediately after him saying something about renting private land for 24 hours.... he said "you see where that can go?..." and the edit jumped to something else. In my OPINION you are withholding information from others. That's all I have to say...
So many details, too little time. I say, Forrest said give the poem to a child. Means keep it simple Read the poem. Read all three of his books of memoirs. Put two and two together, get in your car and go if you can afford it. Took me 8 yrs to arrive at my unique solve and have the experience of seeing the place once. But, of course, no find. Not yet
Lisa Beam I may only have one book but my question to you is do you think when he’s speaking about the French men grave markers and the field he’s speaking of a place that is forgotten and those French soldiers? I typed in words from the poem and his first book into google and another author like Fenn mentions some place forgotten too and he tells the place in his book and this place comes up when you type in all his clues.
@@18shadyblue He could be speaking of a place such as this..In my solve I see the special waterfall that brought Forrest to this location In my solve of the poem Heavy Loads and Water High is the watrrfall. I am not sure about the French soldier. I know each person interprets the poem differently. You could be right in your thoughts, so could I. We could be friends and try to solve the search. Nobody has been successful yet. If I were to find it, I would tell Fenn...
Lisa Beam I found a place by the Colorado River that has been forgotten over time with golden cotton fields and white bluffs and marble stones and a barn wire fence by the river that is forgotten and I found this by some other author who mentions it. Plus they say in their book their is a “D” shape place on a map and in Fenn’s book he even states, “I asked for D’s on my grades.” I’d like someone to work with me on it.
It has been found page 99 and not on the poem and it was never it is some place its in the scrap book and the girl who found it told Fennel and she has the treasure
Mystery solved as to who owns it ? Funny you picked up on that .... in news stories that i have read after June 6th the person that he said has found his treasure ( no name given of course ) Forrest refers to a guy from "Back East" ....referred to here as, Chris Lafrite .... could it be him that found it ? After all Forrest does state here that he is a Treasure hunter ... Just Saying : )
WWWH is in, or related to a place name on a map / Not an area as such / But you still have to know what WWWH is ? , Say WWWH means eagle, then you go to a place with Eagle in its name / Does anyone follow me ? WWWH may not mean physically water even if it was a canyon but, at the same time could be the blaze you have to follow . take it in the view of the canyon down / may be ? its not whats in the poem ? it as to do with what's not in the poem ? Remember FF loves Art and Poetry and likes a joke or two. So when someone hinted that they knew WWWH FF said did you dip your toe in 😀 Good hunting from UK 😀 Stay safe 🙄

@@blackbeardedsantaclausscar3798 you're right, I changed it a little. That was how I felt then, not so much now.
I love you Forrest Fenn!!
11:44 what does Forrest say about the title to the gold? I can't quite make out the words. "There's a lot of sub-chapter essings to that rule too (??) -- but I don't want to go there"
What did Forrest start to say at the end... about adding to the mystery. Doug cut him off. More conversation there that you cut off and didn't share?
New year and new day of being positive !
Thanks for sharing this. Does anyone know what happened to Man Alone? All of his videos have been deleted.
He's done that before.
Is it possible to extend the clip at 14:16, 14:17 where it abruptly cuts as he's talking about renting property (cabin or whatever it may be).
Tester Account that was the end of the response.
@@kpro7697 ok... thanks.
He is sharp as a tack📌
20:36 He says that he shut down Montana, WYOMING, and northern Colorado. Is he saying that he previously ruled out those areas? I thought the treasure was eventually found in Wyoming. But if he had previously said it wasn't, that makes me think all the conspiracy theories may be right. That it was in New Mexico and then moved? That would make me so sad. I want this to be a totally pure story without any of this mess about rehiding it.
Shut down from searching in the winter its to dangerous.
@@CowLazars Thank you! What a relief.
The parking lot quote sent me on a long and costly wild goose chase... I should have worried about primary sources, not secondhand memories!
Could you also upload a video without any jump cuts so we know there's nothing being excluded?
This way we can verify for ourselves no information is being withheld.
.... then there's this.
..Forrest said the plane crashed 55 seconds after he ejected. Why did he not say a minute after?
Why so precise: 33 1/2 inch canvas? 8.25 miles north? title to the gold? etc.
Surely at the speed the plane was flying, another 5 secs would take it miles farther away. The location was achieved by precise timing not guess or round up. IMHO
So I’m confused he says it’s no where in a man made place but now you rent or can use facilities? Now it’s only New Mexico. Everywhere else is out!
No one is saying that.
Cowlazars go listen to this video around the end and he does mention like if you could rent something would you be able to leave the property with it and he mentions people are overlooking New Mexico and he says I closed off Utah, Colorado and Arizona
@@18shadyblue where did he say stay out of Ragtag Colorado? I missed that part. Time?
He says, "Ralph Lauren" gave him the idea which is new to me.
Ralph Lauren gave him the idea in saying ‘you can’t take it with you’. He knew him and he happened to come look at some of his collection. This gave him the idea to pass some treasures on by way of a hunt. That’s all.
What river did Douglas mention ... Galondica Guyena or what?
Paul S why?
@@nsr5961 because I could not hear what he said ... I have not heard of a river named Galondica Guyena.
Is it possible that Chris LaFrieda is the finder from “back East?”
I heard that. Immediately hit pause to check the comments
Rodney Greenway I actually messaged Chris and he said it was not him
Don't give up on exploring the Rockies, people!
And thats the real treasure!!
MISSING 1000 YEARS that’s not my question! My question was how does he know when it’s truly found in its spot?

So many details, too little time. I say, Forrest said give the poem to a child. Means keep it simple
Read the poem.
@@18shadyblue He could be speaking of a place such as this..In my solve I see the special waterfall that brought Forrest to this location
In my solve of the poem Heavy Loads and Water High is the watrrfall.
Children love to roll-play. So did Forrest as an adult. Who were his heroes?
Chief Ahusaka that one author catcher of the rye! I found a D shape on a map of the place I found! He does mention asking for D’s on his grades!
It has been found page 99 and not on the poem and it was never it is some place its in the scrap book and the girl who found it told Fennel and she has the treasure

Stratton of the River Valley I have not seen this show. Do you have a link?
Maybe someone has already asked him, but I would have asked if it was possible to accidentally find it?
I think I recall him saying in a video once that it would be almost impossible for someone just to stumble upon it.
