Hi I did file the application /petition for alien relative/brother way in August 8/2012 I did receive a notice in August 09/12 in April 21/2015 I called for status check I was given a referral ID number my question is: will my waiting time be affected by the new immigration law??? I appreciate your help thanks!
Naima Fikri I applied for my brothers the same year as you August 2012 and I received the notice letter same month and the approval letter from the USCIS this year May 2020, the USCIS sent the case to the NVC , I believe the case will stay at NVC for couple more years until the visa is available

Hi jim So my uncle (mom's brother) submitted an f41 petition for my mother and our family (family of four) our priority date is 29-SEP-2006, the email finally came and we submitted the affidavit support the fee , the civil docs and everything, everything got approved we're waiting on the interview letter and it's already been 30 days, do you have an idea of when we'll receive the letter.

Trouble with brother and sister visas? Are you kidding? In 2013, my useless sister made it to the US with her marital family with ZERO direct proof of relationship. Her sole indirect proof of relationship was a birth certificate -- imagine presenting only a marriage certificate in a spouse visa. Truth is they only scrutinize fiancée and spouse visas because only these two visas are for benefit of petitioner ( a nobody) as all of the rest of the visas are for their corporations, universities, tourism industry, and oh.. there's even some room for the diversity, but no fiancées or spouses please !!!

Hi Regis, my case is similar to yours. The difference is that my mom didn't get the green card from my sister yet. My sister has applied to me in 2013. So, I'm thinking doing the same you're planning to, ask to my sister applies to my mom and then my mom applies to me. How was the answer from Mr. Jim about your last question? Thank you.
What as a lawyer can you do to speed up the process . Nothing , right . You are paid at the time a client comes to your office , so you are happy , but the client only is suffering from this situation . Why don't you say openly you cannot help people to get visas and do not take their cases.
