Terry from Belmont, Michigan. RBK as of October 2022 and still working through PT and working with Prosthesis to get the right fit. I have found your videos very helpful and supportive in my journey. I’m 66 and my amputation was do to an injury that I had over 3 years ago. Went through a broken fibula, ankle replacement, infection, broken fibula, incision not healing, ankle fusion and finally made the decision to have the amputation. Side note, my wife spent a year in South Africa in the mid 70’s as an exchange student in High School.
Hi Terry, thanks for he message, and for sharing your story and experience. Sounds quite similar to what I went through at 38, and also that the choice turned out to be a good one. I hope things are going well for you now, with a good outlook for the future! I appreciate the feedback on the videos, it’s really motivating to hear it’s helpful to you. Also interesting that your wife spent time here, whereabouts did she live at the time? Hope to see you in the upcoming live streaming events, it’s becoming a really vibrant chat platform for amputees. All the best to you.
Hi Amped Life Live viewers, just want to say I'm so sorry I missed some really good questions and comments during the stream, still learning but can scan the messages afterwards and promise to return to them in the next live stream. 💥ALSO - I love that you guys were supporting each other during the live stream in the comments, picking up on questions and offering advice and support - really cool and hope that we can keep this parallel conversation going next time as well. A huge thank you for being there, the participation, love and support 🙂 @blissfulnessence2612 I noted your comments on your struggles, please bring these to our next stream, we can talk more about it. The same to any one else whose comments were not attended to - look forward to talking more about these. BOOKS I mentioned: Man's search for meaning by Victor Frankl The Choice by Edith Eger
Hello, I’m Jordi and my first knee was directly the Rheo XC, and works very well, I had the amputation August 2022 and December same year I started working, happy with that…
Hi Jordi, thank you for the message. You sound really positive, which is so good to see, despite your big loss just a few months ago. The Rheo really changed my life, no kidding, and freed me to do so much more. Awesome that you had it from the start, and to hear you're happy with it. Hope to see you on the next live stream! Take care
Awesome stuff!! Glad someone on the channel shares my enthusiasm for F1. Yeah Aston is rocking the boat for Ferrari and Mercedes, great to see a new strong competitor. Max is still my man though 👌
@@pd5163 What!! No I did not ... and coincidence I think not. Lawrence Stroll is a wily ol' boy. I was a Max fan from his debut, my new Schumi. Lewis is a close second.
