    Take 2 or 3 sheep, and you will have milk, great cheese, wool and the grass will be razor sharped!

    It has not been below freezing where I am this winter - Ansiao (North of Leiria province but closer to Coimbra province). I have a garden of about 1700m2. Nightmare for me. I have to deal with weeds etc or pay people to do it. My irrigation is connected to the mains.

    Really useful video Portuguezza. I have wells and want to create some irrigation on our land. This has certainly helped me think about the issue.

    Nice video! Your size off land seems ideal to me, not to big, not to small and with water!
    Are these alltments typical for your region? Or do you find them all around Portugal?

    • @theportugeeza
      @theportugeeza  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah.. seems to be pretty standard around most villages. Price varies by region, of course!

    Did you consider building a concrete block water reservoir? May bring down the fuel costs.

    • @theportugeeza

      I don't know what you mean?

      @@theportugeeza if you build a concrete watertank next to the source i.e., and fill it up in one go, you can then drip irrigate your land, at night preferably to avoid evaporation. It will cost you less fuel because you don't need to keep up the high pressure.

    Will you be doing worm castings in the future?

    Why dont you guys cover your wells?

    • @theportugeeza
      @theportugeeza  5 месяцев назад

      I put a fence around it... these types of wells are too big to cover.
