He's interested in your school. Your argument is basically he's just as good as Ogbanna, but you're already excited about Ogbonna so why take Gaffney? So you can have another option. We have a serious need still at linebacker and safety, although I like the long term outlook of the defense in general! Outside of Staley and Trejo, we have no exciting pass catchers on the team or developing. You need to hit WR HARD this year in recruiting or ogbonna is going to have no one to throw the ball too. You need deep threats, route runners, and physical archetype players for the offense you can build with ogbonna. Invest in pass catchers. Your trench play will be good for years with what you’re building. Also, please start shead opposite your transfer cb. Put boffelli at slot and have 2 boundary corners that are 90+ speed. Go bulls!

Your run stopping game is suffering due to you not putting enough emphasis on block sheading on your interior defensive lineman and middle linebackers. You also could use a FB/TE hybrid that could be a huge mismatch nightmare in the passing game. Running a 4-2-5 defense, you need Linebackers with great speed and pass coverage ability, but your defensive ends then need to be run stoppers with block sheading supremacy to help the defensive tackles with the run stopping aspect. Also change of direction and acceleration need to be priority in defensive backs to help in coverage, as well as press coverage situations.
he always focuses on strength and pursuit when youre right block shedding is literally integral to the run stopping. had an athlete with 84 BSH and he didnt even mention it lmao
I know you go for realism but as far as hard sell and soft sell go you need to look at the letter grades as a number grade (ex A+ = 19 and F = 1). For hardsell if your letter grades are 21 or above then definitely hardsell. For the softsell when combining it with the hardsell where yiu have 2 intrest but cant use the 3rd one because its in your hardsell then you need to have 32 points or over for it to count more than the friends and family (the 25 point) pitch. So almsot always hard sell and then use the 25 point pitch. You will gain more intrest that way.
I agree with calling a lot of cover 2 on passing downs, but cover 2 is not going to get it done enough stopping the run. I would start with cover 4 on early downs and work into cover 2 when the down and distance dictates a pass.
yk i will say the non straight forward recruiting maybe the most realistic thing recruiting shouldn’t have a set formula because in real life there isn’t a set formula on how to get a guy to commit i also just like your approach to it
