The daily comments remind me of all the joy you have brought to me and all your followers this year. The Sedestal series was an inspiration to me and I learned so much. Thank you
Absolutely Claire! The Sedestal series will be watched over and over again. I just hope that one day I’ll be able to visit in person. Meeting up with these two lovely guys would just be the icing on the cake! Happy St. Lucia’s Day to you!
I love hearing your native traditions. Beautiful stories. The tours you have done are so educational too. I’m sure you guys have many fun and exciting places to take us along, teach us new patterns, and share great stories😊 I know someone what to leave weaving… I hope you get to go, Arne. Cheryl
I remember studying how different countries celebrate Christmas as a kid in school. I always thought Santa Lucia Day sounded so magical and lovely! Leather ruler/bracelets are great! I have a light-colored one. Happy Santa Lucia!
Today I watched a 4 year old Arne & Carlos video. It was lovely to see how much you have both grown into the role of presenter. Always charming but now more relaxed and confident. Keep up the good work. I love your shows.
The sun turning sounds like a ancient phrase from when the earth was thought to be at the centre - amazing how things like this stick through the years/centuries. We have a lot of old phrases still in use in the UK so it's really nice to hear ones used in other countries.
What a brilliant gift idea! I can never find a tape measure when I need one, now you really do have one ‘to hand’ Carlos! Thank you both for another great reveal! ❤️
I hosted a student from Norway 30 years ago. We have remained close friends. I have enjoyed learning the culture and traditions of Norway. I also have a beautiful sweater from Norway...handknit by Agnethe's aunt. I am enjoying your videos! 💕
Arne and Carlos, thank you for providing me, and all your fans, with a wonderful way to count down the says to Christmas. Your Advent Sunday vlogs is giving me some new cookie recipes to add to my collection and will be very welcomed treats for this year's cookie exchange. Admiration and hugs from Vancouver 🇨🇦
What an awesome gift and what a neat idea! Someone had a lightbulb moment with that invention. Now you are properly bedecked. 😉 Reading the comment and opening the gift is half the fun, the rest are the stories and memories the gift inspire. Or Arne's spontaneous remarks. Comparing you, Carlos, to Iris Apfel was pretty funny. Thank you for yet another lovely Advent calendar day. I can only imagine how much work all of it must have taken (not to mention the layouts and planning), and we all appreciate it so much. 🥰
Winter solstice is on the 21st of December. This is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. I remember it allways, because it used to be my beloved dad`s birthday.
I love the brown/yellow colors together on the advent calendar sweater. What a great idea for keeping a ruler around, just wrap it around your wrist! Brilliant! 👍🏻 Thank you for sharing your traditions with us and being so real and relatable.
This is so much fun!! That's a great and very handy gift for Carlos today. Love the Sweater and Christmas Ball too! Thank you for always making me smile! ❤🎄
Well I know for a fact how wonderful your gift is Carlos. My mother bought me one in a yarn shop here in The Netherlands this past August. I love mine!!! And it gets more beautiful the more you wear it. I have it on every day. I am going to so miss this countdown and don't want to think about it being over. I loved the colors of today's sweater and would love to have a sweater like it. Happy Monday Arne and Carlos!
I use a tin like that for sewing pins. If you put a small magnet inside, they are less likely to spill, and easy to clean up if you do accidentally knock it off the table when it's open.
Thank you ARNE & Carlos for all the information, knitting, crochet, and cooking segments. So interesting, and I am enjoying the advent calendar. God bless you both with a safe and happy Yuletide and new Year.
Another lovely jumper and matching Christmas ball. And what a cool gift! Thank you, Arne and Carlos, for inviting us into your home. You are the gift to all of us. ❤️
Glue a magnet to the bottom (on the outside) of the tin and it will make a great pin holder. I laughed so hard when Arne compared Carlos to Iris Apfel. So funny. He needs much larger eyeglasses to look like Iris. Happy St. Lucia’s day! Looking forward to tomorrow. Gail K./USA
Very cool gift Arne! Thank you once again for doing this countdown to Christmas 🎄. The wall looks so nice with the sweaters and Christmas balls. It’s a pleasure to watch you everyday😀.
yes, please - more Setesdal and other areas of Norway, as time and budget permits - in Canada, the solstice is Dec. 21 this year - but while the sunrises are still getting later, the sunsets have stopped shortening and now starting to get later as of today!
I can only say, if candles are involved......please let Arne light them! I think you are safe. I thought the tradition is for young girls to wear the candles. I may be wrong since crazy things happen in these days 🤣!!! I wish you would do an advent calendar for me. So far I have loved everything minus the dog treats. If the treats were like the ones my friend makes her dog (a peanut butter cookie like recipe cut into dog bone with the cutter I gave her one Christmas), then maybe 😂! What an excellent find. I usually have to hunt for my tape. It would be fantastic to just wear it! Good job Arne! Wonder what is in store for you Carlos for tomorrow. Your calendar is scaring me time wise. My knitted projects are not done yet with so little time.....crunch time!
Hi ~ thinking about the Dolly Parton gift - use a shadow box but one that is clear on both sides so you can view it from all sides ? Love you two - you are so kind to provide a daily dose of Norway and all the fun you have!
Dear Arne and Carlos, thank you both so much for the newegian Christmas, the cookifun and all the greate knitting lessions. It inspires me as abeginner For 2022 we all wish you best healthy and enough time for yourself in your garden Paradies.
Lots of ideas for advent gifts for next year. I really loved the Sedestal series and Kim has such a lovely voice. Today's my birthday and your channel is like a gift of plesantry and light to me. 11 more days till the big day !!! I'm decorating the tree today.....
Happy Birthday, Antoinette, and all the best to you. Luck, Happyness, Healthyness, Love and a lot of further videos with Arne and Carlos. 🕯🥂🍾🎁👍🎶🎂❣ My big day is on Friday. 🤗🤗🤗
Aww 🥰 yes remember it as if it was yesterday with your friend Kim in your garden in summer ! Yes I think Kim was certainly surprised with his gift! See you tomorrow! Xx 🎄🎅🏻😘
Happy Santa Lucia Day! I used to go the the Swedish festival in San Francisco and would watch the Santa Lucia Pageant and I would get a cardamon bun. such fun it was
I'm loving this advent calendar and the countdown to Christmas. You both have knocked it out of the park with such lovely and thoughtful gifts. Thank you for inspiring a wonderful new tradition for me. Now I'm off to find a measuring tape bracelet for a gift 🤗.
The more of your videos I watch and the more I learn about your traditions, the more I want to live in Norway! Unrealistic I know, but a nice dream to think of you as neighbours lol! Be well, Sally 🌹
Shortest day I think is Dec 21. Love the reference to Iris - another favorite of mine; like minds! The leather measure/bracelet is very cool. Great gifts that you are gifting to each other 💕🌲
You really made my day. In hospital for a hip replacement and I really enjoyed today. I had you on and one of the nurses, stopped, and watched. Apparently her grandfather was from Norway and she was interested.
I look forward to the new episode every day! makes me so happy! What i really wanted to say is that i love the gift!! And I'm also going to try all the cookie recipes. I'm watching from the Netherlands by the way. groetjes!
I love that the comment today was about Dolly Parton because it was announced today that we will be making Moderna aka “The Dolly Parton Vaccine” here in Melbourne, Australia! I thought I must tell Arne and Carlos 😊 It’s a business partnership with Moderna and our state government. It will take 2 years to build the facility but it means other mRNA research and development can happen here as well as producing the Moderna vaccine. … Also love the energy today in the video and your excitement about eating more cakes later on 😀
Ah pity you didn’t show us yourselves in your white dresses. Hehe Hope you enjoyed your buns. Looking forward to tomorrow’s episode. Thanks as always for today’s.x
Lovely episode! The sweaters, balls and you both look great! Perhaps you could do simple video of drive in car or walking anywhere. Just take us with you. Thank you!
I also have one of those leather tape measures but I do get mine wet. When I wash my hands I get the bracelet wet and it is getting softer over time. I figure horses and cattle are leather and get wet in the rain so why can’t my leather bracelet! Plus it is easier to wrap around your wrist and fasten when it is wet and more pliable. Enjoy!
Our very Swedish church did "kidnap caroling" in the middle of the night on St Lucia. Standing outside someone's home singing Christmas carols until they let you in or the neighbors called the police. Then on to the next house with the new carolers and more hot chocolate and cookies. I don't know if the tradition was Scandinavian or just my parents and their friends warped sense of humor.
Yesterday I got a bit distracted by work and forgot to thank you for your kind words about my Mum..I had meant to finish the rest of her cooking advice in a comment . She told me that no recipe is written in stone …..except for deep fried doughnuts that recipe you have to follow exactly. My Grammie Amelia was the Village expert renowned for her doughnuts and mum felt that she never reached her mother in law’s standards. But my sister Alice and I agreed months ago that we enjoyed eating the greasy , rolled in sugar, crunchy bits of doughnut holes that she fried for us. My mouth also waters at the thought of blueberry bang belly , plum duff bread, rhubarb squares and Radio pudding . See you later today 💝🌟💝🖖🖖🖖🖖💖🌟💖👍👍👍👍💞🌟💞🎂🤷🏼♀️🌟😘💞😘💞🙋🏼♀️
We call them “straight pins” or “sewing pins”. Also, Carlos, you should not feel bad about the match incident. I’ve noticed Arne also puts spent matches right back in the box. So it could have happened to either of you.
Awwww, I was so surprised to hear my name today!!! Merry Christmas to you both & thank you for the year of Joy!!!
When I was in Holland, I bought my daughter Heidi a bracelet just like yours. We were in a yarn shop. I live in Ohio. Love your videos.
I love hearing your native traditions. Beautiful stories. The tours you have done are so educational too. I’m sure you guys have many fun and exciting places to take us along, teach us new patterns, and share great stories😊 I know someone what to leave weaving… I hope you get to go, Arne.
Cheryl
That’s a great ruler bracelet, Arne! Good choice!
I remember studying how different countries celebrate Christmas as a kid in school. I always thought Santa Lucia Day sounded so magical and lovely! Leather ruler/bracelets are great! I have a light-colored one. Happy Santa Lucia!
I HAD A WONDERFUL DAY! Since I could not watch saterday and sunday........I could watch 3 episodes tonight!!!! I'm so VERY HAPPY! Big hug, Anneke
You are keeping my dark winter days bright! Thanks for the smiles and laughter. Love to you both!!
Today I watched a 4 year old Arne & Carlos video. It was lovely to see how much you have both grown into the role of presenter. Always charming but now more relaxed and confident. Keep up the good work. I love your shows.
Thank you for your kind comment Lynn!

That tape measure bracelet is really cool. Very useful!
I am really enjoying the countdown to Christmas. Would love to see the snow outside and the lake.
Hey guys another great episode...Really love seeing you two EVERY DAY. You are always so respectful to each other....just wonderful

Wow I love that wrist measuring tape .
I love the brown/yellow colors together on the advent calendar sweater. What a great idea for keeping a ruler around, just wrap it around your wrist! Brilliant! 👍🏻 Thank you for sharing your traditions with us and being so real and relatable.

Love your traditions. What a generous gift for a gifted musician. Keep up the amazing work all. ❤
Thank you!
I am beginning to think we are long lost cousins! I love Iris Apfel and RuPaul! Another delightful gift and video! Enjoy the day!
Thank you!❤
This is so much fun!! That's a great and very handy gift for Carlos today. Love the Sweater and Christmas Ball too! Thank you for always making me smile! ❤🎄
Thank you for watching Michele!
Love the mystery hand that comes in and lights the candle every day! 🇨🇦 🔥
Happy St. Lucia Festival of Lights, Arne & Carlos!
To you too!
Arne, you are a man after my own heart. You live to eat! And of course, to knit!!
Your chats are so random from leather measure bracelet to the sun round the earth 🌍 just GREAT 👍
Thank you ARNE & Carlos for all the information, knitting, crochet, and cooking segments.
Thank you for another fun episode guys. Be careful with those candles lol xxx
Gail K./USA

Im still laughing also. It was pretty funny. Glad you didn't get burnt

Love the measuring tape bracelet
Aww 🥰 yes remember it as if it was yesterday with your friend Kim in your garden in summer ! Yes I think Kim was certainly surprised with his gift! See you tomorrow! Xx 🎄🎅🏻😘

Me too. I'm determined to visit Norway once all this covid nonsense is done.
Shortest day I think is Dec 21. Love the reference to Iris - another favorite of mine; like minds! The leather measure/bracelet is very cool. Great gifts that you are gifting to each other 💕🌲
Thank you! I noticed the word completer said "ironing cards" instead of Arne & Carlos" at 12:01 marker... lol!
Thank you for another delightful episode! What an interesting and practical gift, Arne!
Good to see you today - enjoy your buns! See you tomorrow!
I just think it is quite incredible that Arne and Carlos are not fat liking to eat so many cookies and cakes....
😂
Winter solstice!
Enjoying your countdown ❤️
You really made my day. In hospital for a hip replacement and I really enjoyed today. I had you on and one of the nurses, stopped, and watched. Apparently her grandfather was from Norway and she was interested.
That must have been fun!
Great idea for the bracelet.
We use glass topped pins in our sewing😀
We are looking forward to December 21 in northern Minnesota so the days start being longer. Our daylight is very short right now.
I bought a wrist ruler a few years ago and have mislaid it somewhere in my workroom ,one day I will find it again.
One day!
I look forward to the new episode every day! makes me so happy! What i really wanted to say is that i love the gift!!
And I'm also going to try all the cookie recipes. I'm watching from the Netherlands by the way. groetjes!
Arne and Carlos, this was another lovely episode! Thank you🎄🌟

Love these videos Bless you both. Be well and safe
Lovely episode! The sweaters, balls and you both look great! Perhaps you could do simple video of drive in car or walking anywhere. Just take us with you. Thank you!
We watched a movie this weekend called Christmas in Dollywood- a real cheesy hallmark film but Dolly appears towards the end.
Carlos, I'm with you on needing things to be in an orderly pattern.... I applaud you not going back and putting the balls in date order 🤭
Enjoy!

oooo, i like today's ball!
Great idea for bracelet.
Oh Dolly...every holiday i listen to her song Hard candy christmas. It gets me misty every time. Is it on your playlist Arne? Happy holidays. ❤❤
Aww my god my older brother Birthday 🎂 today the 13 of December. Yes loved that episode he had a beautiful voice .
Happy cooking & crafting.
