As a light tank enjoyer I would say that the Manticore is a tank most “average” players should avoid unless they want to really learn how to play light tanks. Jagdpanzer is the best thing i've chose to grind. Entire tech tree after Hetzer is insufferable because Hetzer is well armoured and deals devastating damage then you get to Stug and Jgpz IV which are less dmg + paper and then you get to the most deceiving piece of s- being the Jpanther. It looks big, strong, sloped af, DOMINANT yet what you thought was a hetzer in a tier 7 is actually the biggest piece of dogsh- because what Hetzer has is an invincible upper plate. Then comes the GOAT, JPanther II. Actually has armor on superstructure. A reliable one too! Then comes the Jagtiger.... it says assault TD but the hull is a joke. Superstructure only blocks AP. Gun is godly. Hp pool is godly. Speed degradation after the JPanther II.... abysmal. But then, just as you were hopeless, you finally get to the heavily sloped almighty german trapezoid box railgun. Its armor actually HOLDS UP, even against heats. You CAN angle and be REWARDED for it. Your gun? A tier X Hetzer. Speed? Is slow but feels.... natural unlike the Jagdtiger so Jagdpanzer actually doesn't feel slow. It feels just right. I 2 marked it and do 3k dpg at least now. 4k is almost a standard now hahaha. 8,2k dmg record, 7k block record, got 2 natural cool-headed medals (not gained by tesak but by actual gold spamming tanks). This tank also has the best spaced armor on the side which you'll fall in love with! Yes, im an older player b4 when Hetzer and JPanther II were in the tech tree. @@durachoksBasically to be ranked "superior" here with anything apart from lights, the criteria is just "Has armor and preferably speed". Hard to say. Sometimes there are tanks that just work and are comfotable to play and then tanks that are harder to play to their strenghts, but when you adopt, they are better - for example I think STB is fine, then we have UDES that is hard - it's not efficient at sniping with slow HEATs and inaccurate gun, it's easy to overexpose lower plate, but when you get used to it, you can improve and then it's a better tank despite initial feelings. E5 is kind of the same, playstyle is very different from hulldown T29 and T32. I don't have many tier 10 tanks, for me best are 121 - i just don't know why, E5, Manticore maybe buffed CentAX and Leopard. And maybe still Kran. Below is Vickers (don't ask why it does not work, when Leopard does), UDES, STB.Below that is E50M, Patton and Batchat, cause I consider BC very hard to play consistently on different maps. And tanks that do not work for me are WZ5A, 60TP, E100,Obj140,amx13105,T100LT, CS63 and trash is T62. I feel like light tank, with exception of Manticore and ELC which can outspot anything and are small and hard to hit are basically trash mediums with low hitpoints and I basically gave up playing them, despite it used to be my favorite category. But their balance is broken and game play is a gamble esp. when they are EBRs too.
When I think about Vickers, it has better gun than Leopard, but somehow I feel focused by everybody and searched/tracked across the map even by fast tier 8 tanks as something that can be easily penned and killed, maybe because I played it when it was new and people played counters to paper tanks. I never had that feeling in Leopard. Also Leopard is better at farming late game damage due to speed, this one is not that fast and it feels like everything has autoloader, 750 alpha, armor or combination, this tank has only great gun on average platform, but it can't do anything beyond pure support role.
The Grille 15 used to be a good tank... before WG started removing all the natural cover that it and every other TD could use in favour of speeding up the already 4 minute matches.

Follow those rules and most games you can drive for 30s and then play with one hand, and suddenly average 4500+ dmg.
I really don't get the point of playing tier 10 as an average player. Literally everyone is spamming gold forcing you to spam gold too in order to simply avoid dying in the first minute. @@Weedle-vr1hr Sure, you will find better spots, thus improve. But overall this tank does just not perform and the reason being the armor not holding up in most cases. It's so bad that it's one of the only tanks I regularly check the pen mod after every game to see where I got penned and it's surprising. It is badly armored against anything but standard (and even then TDs will melt you). Sure there is the armored turret, but this is only from the front and even there the cupola seems to be an easy pen for everybody. But the most frustrating thing is the lack of side armor. Since you are so slow and can't maneuver well, you get shot from the side more often than in most other TDs. E.g., it can't angle like the Jpz100. And the gun, holy shit, this thing is trash no question about it. 870m standard are crap and the sigma factor may as well be the worst of any gun out there.
