After traveling to Italy for 20 years and searching for a property for more than 7 years, they finally found their dream villa. I interview Chris about their villa, the Tuscany region and a quick tour of the property. Bought a house in Italy. Bought a house in Tuscany.

Living in a centuries old home is a reminder of being a caretaker and not an owner.
You can make your dreams come true! Beautiful! Is there a requirement to have duel citizenship? What is the need to be fluent to operate a business in that part of the country?
Hey Greg. I’ll have to ask Chris some of these questions. I believe they applied for residency. Otherwise, the rule is foreigners can only stay 90 days out of every 180 days. This means you can stay for 3 months, then leave for 3 months and repeat. Regarding the language, most restaurants and tourist type businesses (hotels, etc) speak English, especially in larger cities and towns. But I’d think to run a business you’d need a good grasp of Italian. Be sure to check out Sips of Italy RUclips channel for some good info.
No need for dual citizenship to buy ( we have reciprocity with much of the tax laws as they deal with property ownership and taxes ). You don't get anything special by buying, like being able to stay 365 days/year. You have to either apply for residency or pursue citizenship if you want to be there year round. Residency is a lower bar and easier to achieve.
so what are their plans, are they going to keep it as a private residence or are they going to be opening it up for the public like as an agriturismo?

Sir what about people who only know English? Is it difficult in italy with languages
I think it is common for English speakers. Many people in Italy speak English and maybe you will meet a local friend who will translate for you if needed. Also, if you plan to live there, you will begin to learn Italian over time, especially if you actively take lessons and practice. But initially I know people who start off with only English.
