In 1990 Verne wasn't even able to pay the few wrestlers he still had, and their salaries were pretty small. Verne couldn't have come up with even ONE million to dangle in front of Hogan, much less four million. Not to mention that Hogan hated the Gagne's.

Great videos, and greater interview get with one of wrestling's true stars in Larry Zbyszko. There are a few things I'd like to address stated in this video. One, your observation was right. Hulk Hogan did lose a tremendous amount of weight. Now here's the connection, as you stated you began to watch wrestling around 1993. Nine years after I began watching it. There was a huge trial in 1993 of Superstar Billy Graham (Wayne Coleman) attempting to sue the WWF (now WWE). In that trial, the star witness was "you guessed it" Hulk Hogan and he admitted to steroid use. By that time, he was getting off the stuff and loss a tremendous amount of weight. Number 2, you mentioned AWA attempting to bring back Hulk Hogan in 1991. AWA was nearly out of business by that point and in 1991, Hulk Hogan was facing Sgt. Slaughter for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.

I've done my share of them so far and will see more long days like those in the near future. You just don't have time to work out, or eat the way you want to. Sure we get fed and all, but even the Crafty service takes a toll not having the best foods throughout the day to eat, plus you get run down and tired a lot.
