How to increase creatinine and urea excretion without dialysis in kidney disease?
Is there an age cut off date? My doctor said dialysis is for younger people. He really burst my balloon. I am 80 ish.
I am a 84 year old male, I started on Hemodialysis 5 days after my 80 th birthday. I switched to peritoneal dialysis after 1 year and four month. I live alone and find this treatment perfect. I feel so much better on peritoneal dialysis.
@@BobHall-dt2qv - I'm happy to hear from you. You show that my doctor was so much out of line telling me I'd "already lived a full life". I stopped going to him and have a new doctor now, so perhaps my treatment will continue without anyone being concerned about how old I am. I look forward to hearing from you when we are 100!
How much supplies do you need for home dialysis? We live in 2 room
@@virginiaoberg1348 It would be better if you contacted your local dialysis center to ask that question. Or you can probably find "The Kidney Foundation" to contact (on Google). Good luck to you.
I keep hearing that home dialysis is not for everyone. Please elaborate
