Hats off to wearing that hot uniform. Tourists are so ignorant about horses, to a damn petting Zoo. My mare would have already pinned her ear and taken a bite. Stupid games win stupid prizes. Awe, his dad is so proud. Nice to see the son proud as well.
My favorite guard! You sure can tell his dad is mighty proud! But it is so darn hot today, the one hour shifts must be brutal at or around the noon hour!
So good to see his dad come to surprise him. Absolute look of pride. And good to see the guard smile. I love the horse too, so friendly and wanting to say hello to everyone too. I just despair of the public who reach out for a quick stroke, but balk when the horse responds.
Beautiful Horse he looks content in spite of the heat..if that was the Guards Dad who dropped by he must have felt great pride seeing his Son with his Horse doing so well.
I appreciate how many tourists, or civilians if you will, that have actually thanked the guard and horse. The few people that mistakenly grabbed the reins were given a well mannered "not the reins or don't touch the reins" and they (civilians) didn't get crabby or offended by it.
I agree. I've watched this video several times. This Guard is truly amazing, as is his horse and their relationship. He is very diligent watching approaching tourists and has that "sense" of what their reaction may be, then will gently guide his horse either away (as like with groups of young children or totally clueless but respectful tourists) or toward the obvious horse loving or PITA tourists who know nothing about horses... He knows his horse and how his horse will respond. It's obvious their bond is very strong. One of the 1st things I ever learned about horses was that their sense of people is better than most people of each other. A horse can sense fear and in turn, may react in fear. That is the same for love, hate, and several other emotions. There is a reason horses have become a popular emotional and physical therapy practice. I do believe that if people fear an animal, they should stay away from said animal. Anyway, greetings from America.
It was nice to see the guard interact with the tourist wearing the bow tie near the end of the video where the tourist asks the guard if he’s too hot and the guard remarks that it’s cooler now but it was hot earlier (or something to that effect).
In having seen other guardsmen, they usually "bark" harshly at tourists that touch the horse or the reins. This young man seems to not have an issue with it.
Why are all these people getting all up in the horses space then getting upset when the horse makes any move? If you don't like horses then stay away from them! Horses aren't a photo op, they are living, breathing feeling beings. Show some respect
It must feel like loads of flies to those poor horses, the way people lightly touch them. Horses much prefer a good scratch if on the nose - or at least mine, all the ones my uncle owned & all the ones I ever rode or groomed did!
I think the horses get washed more often than most of the tourists. Nice to see the Captain ride in to barracks for the 4pm Parade. He leaves Knightsbridge solo on horseback and gently rides down to Horse Guards. After the parade he will then ride back again on his favourite charger.
At 4:22 we see yet another tourist that is simply unable to cope with being near a live animal. This young lady’s affectation is beyond absurd, her noises and bizarre gestures and pose are very odd
You have to wonder how many of these people have Never been around a Horse before... cause it's Clear they have no clue how to pet one.. Some look Scared LOL
The way some of the people touch the horse is like they have never been that close to a horse. Whoa i never really thought about the fact that the maybe going there just to be close to a horse.....
He was absolutely chuffed to see his dad and he looked very proud too. He raised one fine young man.
You can see the pride in the older gentleman's face, and rightly so.
It's lovely to see parents drop to see their sons. Proud father happy son 🥰
@@paulinedawson2017 exactly! 😊
Why are these Chinese people so silly around the horses?
He should be very proud of his son.love you them both.❤❤❤❤❤❤
The guard’s family must be so proud. Exceptional young men
Very well behaved horse, excellent guard, and one very proud father.
👊
That's great for the guards' families to stop by to visit.
Dad appeared and even got to talk to his son and looked happy to see him
The family looks like a very proud Father. Who wouldn't be proud of their son or daughter.
Awwwwww ❤
That was so nice to watch. Dad coming to see his son. A very proud dad .
An excellent guardsman, interacting with the people and controlling his horse so well.

I think she is remarking on how well behaved, above and beyond what a normal horse would tolerate from strangers.
@@superstarcat7654 - yes exactly!!!!
Eric, stupid comments also get stupid prizes.
My favorite guard! You sure can tell his dad is mighty proud!
But it is so darn hot today, the one hour shifts must be brutal at or around the noon hour!
Son tells his dad, his horses favourite tickle bit on neck, eh!! Nay Nay . AWESOME
So sweet. I love how sweet the horses are to the children 😊 The guards are so handsome ❤❤❤❤
I love seeing the Guard’s family showing up!
A touch of humanity
So good to see his dad come to surprise him. Absolute look of pride. And good to see the guard smile. I love the horse too, so friendly and wanting to say hello to everyone too. I just despair of the public who reach out for a quick stroke, but balk when the horse responds.
Sometimes I Wana see the horse bite their fingers off for ignoring the sign tho when they put their hands right near its mouth ngl lol
I feel so sorry for these horses especially in the heat. Tourists!!! Oh my…
Morons
My favourite guard. Makes me wish I was younger...so handsome and proud.
Wow! They most certainly have the patience of saint's these soldiers. What a lovely young man.
The doting dad can never stop smiling … 😂❤
I hope they were able to have time together during his Dad's visit.
I know that feeling....it's true pride for ones son
Beautiful Horse he looks content in spite of the heat..if that was the Guards Dad who dropped by he must have felt great pride seeing his Son with his Horse doing so well.
❤when he nudged the horse closer to his dad😊
The young soldier is obviously thrilled to see his dad! And his dad is very proud of his son. Lovely!!!
Delightful, and what a well-behaved, friendly horse. :->
Wonderful horse , so calm and patient. Guard was sweet too.
The pride for both is immense. It reminds me of watching my husband with our son it's so nice❤
Wonderful to see a smile on Guards face & a proud dad!❤❤ From Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape South Africa 🇿🇦
Proudly SA AWESOME B BLESSED
It's palpable how proud he is if his son! I'm beaming for him! ❤
It’s lovely to see the family arrive to see their son/daughter on duty. The pride is there for all to see.
What daughter?
There was nothing.
That horse is so patient with the tourists. Love it.😊

Proud dad& rightly so ❤️👏👏👏
Lovely horse. Lovely guard. Proud Papa. Rightfully so.
The guard looks like his Dad.
Proud dad! And oh so handsome!
God love these guards and they family should be proud ❤❤❤
I loved the soldier saying to his Dad(? )where his horse liked being stroked on its neck..
No such thing as personal space. Very sweet to the children. The horse literally has his eyes watching some people.
What an incredible Horse.
3.03 & 7.54 What a loving father
So nice to see parents & siblings of the Guards pay a visiting during what can be a stressful day having to deal with all those stupid tourists.
Such a special moment. It’s a wonder he’s not telling everyone ‘that’s my son’
He probably is.
Lovely gentle horse. I don't envy the guardsman in that uniform on a hot day.
Especially that breast plate & helmet...
Very patient horse.
Nice surprise.
You can where he gets his good looks from 😉
The guard moved over for dad😊
Damn, he's got a hot dad!
A lovely surprise for the young Guardsmen to break up his day. Hope they got to spend some quality time together at the end of his shift.
What a friendly horse :-)
LOVE THIS, tel his father where he can pet his horse.❤❤❤
It was nice to see the guard interact with the tourist wearing the bow tie near the end of the video where the tourist asks the guard if he’s too hot and the guard remarks that it’s cooler now but it was hot earlier (or something to that effect).
I hope this wasnt today its been 90 degrees.. father is proud and rightly so. 😊
@ 3:03 you can see the pride in the dad's face....
Well done dad you must be so proud of your guard
That's great to see family.looking on to his son
I swear these videos are much more entertaining than the TV lol
Wonderful dad came to visit!!!
In having seen other guardsmen, they usually "bark" harshly at tourists that touch the horse or the reins. This young man seems to not have an issue with it.
I've noticed that he always just asks them not to touch the reins. I have seen him shout on occasion when they don't listen though.

One very proud Dad
She seems very happy to see her family
visiting her
The Happy guard is a young man❤
The guard even advised where to stroke the horse 🫶🐾
well a nice gueardian but i think they need a sign: Don´t touch the horse.
How lovely very PROUD dad an rightly so his son was pleased to see his dad too lovely moment❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🐴🐴🐴🐴👍👍
what a good horse!

Who films these videos? The guards look so young and have patience.
I really don’t understand , people must touch the horse all the time ! It’s just plain harassment!
.....because the sign says....Please touch and pat the horses face; preferably with sticky hands....
Ha, ha, ha,! Wonder what the horse is thinking?
PEOPLE ARE SO IGNORANT! They all touch the nose of that poor horse! WHY ?
It must feel like loads of flies to those poor horses, the way people lightly touch them. Horses much prefer a good scratch if on the nose - or at least mine, all the ones my uncle owned & all the ones I ever rode or groomed did!
Much nicer to see the guard tell them softly to not touch the reins defiantly officer material!
So Loveable to See ! Grettings from the Continent and a Great Respect to your Horses and you Guards !
Guard looked like he was 12, lol. Good on him!
You would think they have never seen a horse before.cant leave him alone
4 min 19, hthe first time ever I have seen a person actually address the guard ask permission, and thank him afterwrds!!
HANDS OFF THE HORSE
Why do these tourists have to touch the horse? Just stand next to them for your photo.
Why stand next to something your frightened off
And then act so silly about it.
good looking dad!! and son !!
the Royal Guardsman look so good sitting on his horse.
I looooooove that helmet
The horse is saying, okay I know you. ❤❤❤❤
Hat lady came back, respectful.😊
That was special 😊😊
That is a beautiful horse
I hope they disinfect the horses when they come off duty….all those grubby, sweaty hands can’t be hygienic!
They get a thorough wash down & groom 😊

Why do people always find it necessary to touch the horses face. 🤦🏻♀️. They bug me.
The guard on the horse looks like he’s about 13 crazy
On a few videos, I saw some humans asked permission to touch the horses. ❤❤❤❤
Seems the horse is being touched for good luck
Horses are animals of war and should be treated with respect always
The guard looks so young
