Thanks for the honest review! Think I’ll stick with the Ferris ISX2200.

I purchased a used Boulevard this summer in Alberta and I really like it, I am able to set the height at one level and leave it there because my mowing is very level lawns. My concern is that here in Alberta we do not have a supplier for parts and service for these mowers but so far I haven't needed anything. I do travel to Utah periodically and was not able to find parts or service along the way to Utah either. Other than that I really like this mower and the operation of it

Scheduled maintenance is key on these machines in my opinion, had a hydro hose seal go bad (hydro gear claim I believe) and one wheel bearing went at 50 hrs, both were fixed under warranty and dealer said previous owner probably didn't grease as much as he should have. Ended up selling the boulevard for a little over $2,000. Really hated to see it go but we needed a heavier duty machine that was more than a residential model.

We have a sloped property with some rough ground. My Craftsman DYT4000 is not high enough and often scalps ground. Wondering how this unit will manage.

The Boulevard has a pretty low center of gravity compared to similar units and the meaty tires definitely help with traction. One thing to look out for if you are looking at used models is the number on anti scalp wheels. The newer models come with an anti scalp wheel in the middle of the deck which is a must.
