What a terrible edit. Doesn't show the whole first goal until the replay. Doesn't show why STL got a penalty. Shows the third goal twice. Embarrassing.
Between that and the delay getting these recaps out, you wonder if the MLS is just forcing some interns to get the highlight videos posted. I get budget concerns, but NHL, MLB, NFL, even some smaller leagues are able to get highlights posted a bit more quickly and with better quality. This one was weird, like someone just grabbed timestamps and didn't even look at the footage before posting.

The reason it doesn’t show the first goal completely is because it technically should have been called no goal due to foul of pushing a player

Austin was lucky that the goal wasn't called. Even the announcers were saying it probably/definitely was a goal, and they're supposed to be relatively unbiased. Though, lots of credit needs to be given to Stuver and his incredible reaction speed.
What to see is did that ball cross the line and the ref didn’t check VAR
Based on the reaction of the STL player who was standing at the goal line it looked like it was way closer than the broadcast or the referees gave credit for. Certainly worthy of more than a ten seconds look. I don’t understand how this league determines what should get a closer look and what shouldn’t as with the NHL for instance they would have looked at that play for at least a minute just to be sure they got the call right, but with the MLS it seems hit or miss and pretty random on what they want to get a good second look at which is frustrating.

The goal chance at 38 minutes, that was across the line from the behind goal angle. Which says it’s a goal. Bad refs not even checking var. should have challenged it

Top contender for the list of worst edited videos of the season. Apart from this, St Louis deserved more than 1 point. For what they produced as well as that moment when the ball hits Stuver. Unbelievable for such a league to not have goal line technology
