Lofoten (Island Group) is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.
Tourism in fact makes a significant year-round contribution to the economy: in summer, its secluded beaches and snug fishing harbors draw sightseers, kayakers and campers, while in winter it's all about the fantastic northern lights and skiing.

Eggum is a fishing village in Vestvågøy in Lofoten, there are approximately 100 people living there. Situated on the northern side of Vestvågøya
Henningsvær is a fishing village located on several small islands off the southern coast of Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago in Norway.
Gimsøya is an island in Vågan municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Gimsøya is situated between the islands of Austvågøya and Vestvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago.
Svolvær was an important fishing village for a long time, and because of this, it was given town status in 1918. On 1 July 1918, the new town of Svolvær was separated from the municipality of Vågan to become its own municipality.
Other than the massive fishing industry, tourism is becoming increasingly important. Svolvær is also a major transportation hub and favourite starting point for tourists visiting the Lofoten islands. Approximately 200,000 tourists visit Svolvær each year.

I don't know who started this trend with cutting quickly from one shot to another, but I wish that people had the common sense to realize that it is an annoying way to edit a video. I came here to learn something about Lofoten, but all you did was flash a few quick shots from unrelated directions and locations which do almost nothing to give me, or anyone, the information we want. You wasted my time. I am wasting even more of my time writing this note in hope that you will think about what I've said and not make any more video like this.
Personally, I thought this was a beautifully done, calming, scenic video. More or less what I expected from the video title. If you want detailed information about Lofoten then Google it. Why did you feel the need to leave such a mean spirited, rather scathing comment? It was only a little over 2 minutes of your time. I hope you are having a better day today. Peace.
@@nancyofallonvo My comment explains my expectation, and complaint exactly. I was looking for information and found the video came up very short. You were merely looking for fluff and was perfectly satisfied.
It's a 2 minute video that titles, Lofoten from above. Learn how to scan videos better if you're looking for an informational video, expect at least a ten minute video with a description that portrays what you're expecting
