One of the main requirement of the seismic design of the reinforced concrete structure is strength of column should be always more than the strength of beam.In thiscase, I found that the strength of column beam ratio is different in different Country's design codes.For instance the ratio is 1.3 as per ACI and 1.2 as per Eurocode.What could be the reason behind the existence of different values? Thank you
One of the main factor which i feel is most of the countries fall under different seismic zones and design differs according to regions and codal provisions are different in different codes, so there is slight difference in the ratios
