Yea superbowl championship rings.
“Ya mind if I call a personal friend to come in and cut your price off at the knees?”
there is one of his friend that actually up the price from hundreds to ten thousand i think. just can’t remember what episode
You mean up his price by 500% then he says best I can do is 500$
@@eiqhwanpauzi5041still friends..........................?
“ya mind if a i call a personal friend to come in and cut your penis off?”
No, go right ahead.
Rick’s got the expert on the payroll.
Right..always ripping ppl off.
@@marion6066 its a pawnshop dummy. Of course they wanted it cheaper
Well yeah. He wouldn't show up for free
The network has them on a contract while they are filming they can’t travel or go anywhere they have to be readily available so ya
I would always have “my guy” on standby for a sell like this.
Notice how 90% of the time when the pawn starts call in one of their "friends" the sellers get low balled.
People tend to overestimate the value of what they own
Its all staged 😂
Not always! Sometimes it goes the other way...
@kuba3652 at first it wasnt until it blew up. Just like american pickers, at first they did travel the backroads looking for treasure. At the end of it all their sites were staged.
They SHOULD get low-balled. Walking into the nearest 2nd hand shop is LOW effort.
Let’s face the fact that the “expert” Rick calls is just a crook that’s in on the scam, for a small cut.
Absolutely!
You're saying scam. Unless they're coming from the player directly, and our belonging to someone terribly noteworthy. The intrinsic value is only of the Rings themselves.
@Doves who's rings are they? Just because they are World Series rings does not necessarily make them valuable.
@@WALTERBROADDUS every player gets rhe same ring
@@italianwaterice9594 a ring from the batboy or the third base coach is not as valuable as a ring from a Hall of Famer.
You mind if I call a lowballer to take a look at em
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He could have wanted $1,000 a ring and Rick still would have offered him $100 / ring
Yup
Your there gonna sit for a while , and he’s gots to find the right buyer 😅
@@four_eyes3988Bro, what are u saying? Speak english.
That's what pawn shops do; that's how they make money on the misfortune of the stupid. Most of the new & used guns, used amps & used guitars I own came from pawn shops.
He has to make a profit, so the guy can walk if he doesn't like the deal
112k?? I'll give $550 but I'm taking a huge risk
The guys rick call in to be experts are on his payroll
It's like an inside job....Fucking Crooks....the guy who owns those championship rings put up a great deal....that experience is on drugs if he really gonna say it cost 37k to make but it's ONLY worth 20k per ring which doesn't make sense?....Fucking Stupid...and it's bullshit cause you know this guy wants too get them but doesn't want to pay that much for it...when he knows ihose rings are close to over a million or more🖕
What can you say .. he knows a guy 😂
Rick sure has a big company.
Rick immediately goes into low ball mode
Yea he wouldn’t have much of business paying premium or retail for no name rings !!! Kinda how business owners do
At tye end of the day....its a pawn shop not an auction....you only go to a pawn shop when you "need" the money
Gold and silver is no longer a pawn shop, it is a specialty retail store they sell above retail and lowball on the buy. The "expert" gets a percentage of the total profit, so it benefits them to lowball, do you think those "experts" get paid every time they come down no they get a percentage of the profit...if it was a real "pawn shop" the owner wouldn't need experts. The people that go there with these rare items are not broke.
Pawn shops always tell you to bend & touch your toes.😂😂😂
Dude made the choice to go there knowing full grown what happens there, trust me been sober ten years that’s why I don’t go to the bar!
Also, people don't realize how long it takes to find buyers for some of these items. That's why they lowball so much when it comes to some of these items, because it can take months to years to sell the items.
EXACTLY. You go there to toss away JUNK for quick cash. And I hate the amount of ppl going "they always rip you off",but they don't. You sell to a pawn shop so they can resell. You are deciding yourself "I am to lazy to sell this myself so I'm gonna take the faster option". If anybody goes to a pawn shop and thinks they are lowballed THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT SELLING IT YOURSELF IF YOU REALLY THINK ITSWORTH SUCH A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT.
Rick has all of the “experts” on the show on his payroll
Remember these appraisers work for the pawnshop
Rick “so 60k for all 3?-thanks man…
Best I can do is 8k”
Pawnshop:Best we can do is $500 EBT foodstamps
😂😂😂
What a hustle! Get the expert in to low ball the seller.
Its been thwir tactic since rhw old days. Scammers
It’s not like they make you pay. So you can just agree to disagree and take your stuff home. If you go to a pawn shop expecting anything but a bad deal for quick cash you are hoping for too much. Sell it without the middleman if you want to get what it’s worth
“Best I can do is 78 cents and a used napkin. Hey man I’m losing money on this”
When Rick makes that deep breath we know he is bout rip someone off
Pawn porn.
The Expert: Each ring is worth 37k, so almost 120 thousand for all three.
Also the expert: all three are worth 60k
Each ring is worth whatever someone is willing to pay or the seller is willing to accept.
They’re expensive to make, but have you ever tried to resell a ring like this? They’re almost never worth as much as they cost to make.
Best I can do is $20
Just once I’d love the seller to respond by saying “Do you mind if I call my expert” then in walks his guy who gives a price a lot higher than Rick’s guy.
Now that would be tv magic
I'll give you $100. Not a penny more
Legit good advice. Bring your own expert
Rick: they're really cool. The best I could do is 80 bucks.
Best I'll do $37
And im taking all the risk here lol
They buy them for 36k each… I think they are worth about 20k each… 🤡
I bet he owes $112.500 child support. Lol😊
🤣🤣🤣
He looked a virgin to be honest
What even made you come up with this conclusion
@@KILSYN-MD It's a joke Mister conclusion.
@@watchingthecrazyworld7761 That's funny!😅
In these situations I always wonder how much you can trust the appraiser. If he's been brought in by the prospective buyer, how do you know he's not going to undervalue it just for his friend's sake? Although I imagine those guys live or die by their reputations, so it's probably in their best interest not to do that.
“No problem 😐”
He should of said THEY ARE IN THE RANGE OF $20,000 but instead he says THEY'RE >PROBABLY< IN THE RANGE OF $20,000, the geezer is clueless
So like half of what the seller is asking...this is why you never answer when they ask "Whaddaya want for it?"
Bro I thought Rick was gonna offer him a whopper and two dimes then say “this is gonna be a tough choice for me”
Grant Fuher fell on hard times. When Wayne Gretzky found out he had sold the rings he tracked them down and repurchased them and gave them back to Grant.
So rick offered him $25-30k for all three.... cause he's a scam artist
Jewelry is the worst investment. Depreciates like hell.
Appraisal $6500. Offer $800
The sigh said "I want to offer $100"
at that point i woulda just walked put because they both are literally trying to screw that poor guy
Id be like hell no you cant call your buddy. Take it or leave it😂
Rick is as crooked as they come. In my opinion, when he asks if it's alright if he calls someone who knows a lot more than he does about this or that, it means he is calling one of his buddies that will low bill the customer.
Agree with you
The fact is, that just about any pawn shop around will only give you one third of what your item is actually valued at.
The expert who failed in Mathematics.
“Best I can do if 50 bucks”
I wouldn’t pay that for something that nobody gives a damn about except the team and it’s players
Hate to break it to you, but there are a lot of people who give a damn about those rings. Yes, even those who are not a part of the team.
Dude comes in the next day an they're for sale 80k each
interesting how the “experts” always come in and give an estimate of about half the asking price every time.
This is a fact when you walk into a pawn shop expect 50/50 expect 25/75 if your lucky so basically stay away 1 million miles away from a pawn shop
10000000 percent as matter of fact don't even look at it
Some of you might wonder why the price of appraisal is always UNDER value. They don't drive in for nothing... They work with the pawn shop and purposefully under value the items and receive a fat commision check on the side.
Remember also this is a show that was caught "fake selling" items to make them more interesting. Usually its the people that get overly aggressive and upset and decide NOT to sell items like Jimmy Hendrix 1st guitar.
I’d keep ‘em a bit.
Some of appraisal had there job ruined.. people know them don't believe them anymore.. that job is not good for appraiser if they lied
Dude looks like a Sims npc
Sometimes the seller is an actor and is only on the show to display the goods. It is really not for sale
Ah yes, Pawn Stars, where the seller gets bent over and done dry without the common courtesy of a reach around.
I’m struggling to understand why the rings have somehow lost value? He says they cost the team owner 37,000 and sell second hand 20,000… where’s the logic?
The ring is a trophy to the person who earned it. Value is what gold is selling for unless its an emotional buy.
@@donaldarthur3497 then why bring the expert in? If that was the thought process you would just be melting it down and paying by market value
It's a few thousand in materials and then $30000 in way overpriced labor. Then the market is a bit weird for something it would be embarrassing to wear more than once.
Jewelry has a 1000% markup. I was at a gold shop. Kid came in with engagement ring. Had papers. Thought he would get monet back. Told him $750. He argued. I said u would do better on line. She came back $800. He spent $2500
2 dollars and a half eaten hotdog
They are actually Super Bowl rings from the San Francisco 49ers. I’ve seen the episode.
You just know this dude right after this said
“Ok he said 20 a piece so I’ll take 60k”
He probably wouldve offered 50k so he could make profit
@@ultimateninja3x01 Hahahaha Nah dude
Would have went like this
Dude: “well I’m thinking 60k”
Rick: “😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Yea u was thinking like 900. That’s the best I can do. Don’t even know how I’ll profit on these, they might sit on a shelf for who knows how long”
Dude: “ok cool how about 57k? Best offer”
Rick: “I can do 1k man. Otherwise try somewhere else”
Dude: “you got yourself a deal🤡”
I have a feeling that this guy has a child tied up in his basement
Wtf😂😂
The man appraising is Dan Wulkan. A very nice guy and very honest.
Damn those some funny looking baseball rings
"Mind if I call someone in who's going to lowball the shit out of you?"
I don't see why anyone would ever sell to this place. They're always robbing everyone
Is TV bro it’s not real
@@j-deezy321 it is real. I have been there. You think they just bring in people with items for tv to not sell?
That Satanic ring there😶💀
I all the history of Pawn Shop, even before on TV, NO ONE EVER GOT WHAT THEY WANTED!! HA.
There was that one Broach that a lady wanted a couple Gs for but she walked out with like 75k
20k a ring, At best he'd offer you 10 to 15k for each. Has to make some profit. And he want's 120k for them. ROFL!!!!!!! Good luck.
You could tell Mr. Baldie it's 1¢ and he'd have a hissy fit
*expert: “These are once in a lifetime, you can’t put a price tag on something this valuable*”
*Rick: “Thank you for your time… so the best I can do is $20, and im being generous.”*
A pawn shop isn't in the business of paying top dollar for everything that comes in his store. His business is to give you a small percentage for your stuff, then a month later you buy it back with interest. If you don't want the stuff back, that's totally up to you. Remember, you are going to him, he isn't hounding you down
They always ask the price before calling in the "expert". They def tell the expert to reduce it by half.
Oh you have the pistol Abe Lincoln was shot with?
Rick: Best I can do is 2 bucks
Rick: (sighs loudly)”I’ll give you 20 grand and that’s a fair price…”
Rinse & repeat>>>>
“I’ll give ya 500$ each”
Best I can do is about 5$ and coupon to McDonald’s
Expert on the payroll
Fair deal... tell that pawn shop to pound sand
I know if anything the rings would go up in price over time not down
@Billy Schultz yeah he is ignoring collectable value completely when he prices the rings and that's how he rips off desperate people
"I'll give you $5 each. Im taking all the risk. I have to wipe them off with a rag and bend down and put them in the case."
LMAO he’s on payroll for sure
Anything bought in bulk is more valuable by itself.
If they paid 37k for each, they would’ve paid up to 50k for just 1
Rick gets these so-called experts in there just to "Low-Ball"?......😮
It's always the sigh after asking how much the seller wants
Rick will trying to low ball him
Rick makes Ebenezer Scrooge look like a saint
I will never understand why these customers don’t do their own research or get their own estimate before dealing with Rick.
Also depends on who’s ring it was…
The best I can do, and you have to understand that I take all the risk, is a 3,000 dollars voucher!
As usual, they're trying to get over on the customer, he wasn't asking too much for those damn rings. Always low balling the customer.
Dutch : i have a plan
Rick : i have a friend
*sighs
Best I can do is $20.50 and a chicken sandwich
Ricks face when he brings up retailing prices 😂😂
Thats the sigh of millions of pawnbrokers souls as they are about to burn you.
" Okay, I'll give you 15 bucks for it.
Look! -- there's just not a market for Elvis' personal belongings. Okay? "
Never tell them how much you want .....let them make a offer first ( it maybe more than what you want )
" best I can do is a half eaten m&m"😂
There was a guy that brought in a ton of vintage Charizard PSA 10s. Rick lowballed the shit out if him. Rick missed out big time. Those Charizards went up 250% in value since that episode.
Rick knows all the experts!
Super Bowl rings nothing to do with baseball
That toupee doesn’t look fair.. lol 😂
Those rings are gonna sell for a 100k a piece probably. Criminals those pawn stars
I used to deal in books. So much goes into it. I have a collection of books that used to be worth a lot and currently almost worthless. In a few years it could be priceless. Hard to tell.
“Do you mind if I call someone else down here to do my job because I don’t know shit about anything”?
The expert says what hes told to say
As a pawn shop "rule of thumb," they only offer one third of the retail price unless it's something very special......
I'm surprised that the retail price is so much cheaper then the new price
Brings in expert that he has on the payroll to bring you down to reality
