Lovely boat, BUT I really don't get America's obsession with TV. Fancy owning a boat like this, putting to sea, and watching TV. Incidentally, I am owned by a BERTRAM 46, and the first thing I did was get rid of the TV and sound system. Guess what? NOBODY has ever said "WHERE'S THE TV?"
I've been watching BoatTEST reviews since the channel began. Captain Steve should be allowed to express his personal opinion: he's the reviewer. In the past when he has waxed lyrical about fit and finish and expressed why, I have paid close attention due to his expertise as a reviewer (he's the best I've seen on RUclips to date) and his decades of experience as a yachtsman. I value his opinion highly and he affects my buying decisions. Allow him free reign, BoatTest. If he's critical of something, then we need know and it's a sign that a manufacturer needs to raise its game. If he's complimentary, then that helps us too when navigating the boat market (pun not intended).
Captain Steve is greatest concise reviewer, but if you want the best in-depth (no holds barred) review of a boat it goes to James Knight. Knight says he will be doing some non Nordhavn reviews, and his 60 to 90 minute reviews are the best on the internet.
Simply breathtaking! Wow, just wow! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Wish they would have made the kitchen a two butt kitchen instead of one butt. Could have taken a bit of room off the salon. That built in storage at the far end would have given a bit more room for the kitchen. Only thing I personally would change, but I love to cook.
A truly lovely boat, but I wondered why the decor wasn't really grabbing me. I think it's because of the acres of shiny wood, like looking at wet caramel. It is calling out for some cool scandi design touches.
Another great video from Captain Steve, though only saying "fit and finish" once this time around. Where in Florida is Captain Steve based? I'd love to get his world-class evaluation of a boat I'm purchasing.
They are nice looking yacht only i think they might be low in realy high seas but if i was buying a yacht id half to realy look at the flemings made by excellent craft men id rather a nordahava for blue water only reason is the nordah is built heavy for high seas
Great review as usual. I realize the owner makes the choices on the interior but it has way too much wood for my taste. I agree with another comment that the second access to the master stateroom is a waste of space. Also on a vessel this size and price the beds should be standard house size especially in length. That short king in the master wouldn't work. The grab rail in the saloon is a nice idea but for many passengers it's not usable as it's too high. I love the exterior lines of a Fleming but if I had this kinda money I would lean heavily to the Bering 77. It seems to have more bang for the buck.
Yeah I agree, but most people use flemming as a coastal cruiser an its semi displacement hull. Bering is full displacement. Flemming can top out at like 22 knots. If your doing real ocean crossing of course the bering would be my choice an it has regular bed sizes. Bering has come a very long way since I've seen the first 65 almost 6-7 years ago. Nautiy styles has a full 2 part hour & half on the bering 77 that boats insane. I agree about the interior too!
I am also not a fan of too much wood, but I guess that is choice. A standard super king bed UK is 72 x78, so its 2 inches shorter. I guess if you don't fit the bed at least you can use the grab rails! What I like about this boat is looks, layout and redundancy. I really love the bridge! It is built for exploration - as you can see by following Venture.
I'm sure it is well built functional but it has the feeling of my grandma's Buick. It really looks like early 80's styling. I get no wow factor anywhere.
I can clearly see the difference in ownership of Fleming Yachts.not nearly as nice as when Tony Fleming was in charge.missing is the beautiful solid teak 5 panel cabinets and the curved solid doors with gaskets.ie.M/V On Leave(you tube video) wondering about all I can’t see!! And there more expensive.I don’t like the change.it was what set the Fleming apart.now looks like any other yacht on the inside.
I'm thinking Fleming is now by dream boat! As a retired guy that watches a lot of videos, Fleming seems to check off all the boxes!
I have an ancient Bertram 46, which I use for fishing.
But age is catching up with both me AND the boat.
This looks like a perfect solution.
Although the interior was classic and somewhat minimal,I like it over the Beverley Hills plastic surgeons office or sleazy Vegas suite look!
Lovely boat, BUT

Beautiful, tastefully done. Perfect to hop scotch across the pacific from California and spend the summer in Tassie.
Can’t wait until the 85 is reviewed and tested!
Well appointed . Dream vessel without a doubt . I love the lapstrake look .

I’m thinking I’d be pretty damn comfortable! What a boat!!!
I’m a big fan of Nordhavn, but this thing is awesome ! Too bad I can’t afford either, but it sure is nice to dream. Loved the tour Captain Steve 👍🏻
i wish he put socks on his feet instead of walking round in barefoot it looks disgusting
Ditto, I'm also a fan of the Bering 65, also out of my financial reach at the moment, but love the dream!
@@mrnobody4509 Pretty sad that bare feet are disgusting, Wow just wow!
@@sidepass if you get off by looking at bare feet weirdo
Great tour thanks! She is a beauty!
a beautiful boat

I don't understand 20% of the population.
Ty Captain
Awesome sauce Captain Steve!
Fully equipped to tour the world
What's with all the TVs? When you are cruising, shouldn't you be looking outside? Also, would be interesting to see the engine room
Showed the engine room in part 1.
I like these and the Selenes.

Thank you! Steve is on the Massachusetts coast but you can always write him and we’ll pass on the information. Please email editorial@boattest.com
I was definitely expecting more ‘fit and finish’ in this video!
We all expect the “fit and finish”. We all need the “fit and finish”. Damn it, Captain Steve! Give the people what they want!
Outstanding…
I don’t like displacement cruisers. I want this boat!!! LOL
Need to review Bering 77.
I would put a second door to the companionway. Give it a 'Narnia-esque' feel.
Nope. I want a gas stove. Induction stove is a deal breaker for me. 😢
Lekker man lekker
Bia lekker
Fleming 78 vs Bering 77 vs Nordhavn 86???
Please let Nautistyle do a review on this vessel. This easily my dream ship. So amazing
Nice boat, but only three cabins? Still, nice boat.
Please Lor2I Need a Home LorD.❤❤❤
I think you forgot to post the features video for the Absolute 50 Fly 2021.
No master bathroom?

Bering 77 looks too 'tall', hasn't got the classic styyle of this Fleming 78.
Honestly 6’6”!! Who’s going to reach for that? Waste of space. Way too much wood.
🌟 Fun-fact, this captain is 5'5" tall???
Thank you
I don't think I've heard anything described as "severally updated"! Sounds fun
See what I did there?
I'm sure it is well built functional but it has the feeling of my grandma's Buick. It really looks like early 80's styling. I get no wow factor anywhere.
Your grandmother's buick is not an insult.........js
found the guest cabins !! lol
Nice
I'm assuming this is a fair weather boat or near shore?
All the videos I find are flat water. Any boat will perform well under flat conditions...lol
No crew quarters, though…? 🤔

Fantastic boat but id spend my money at Hampton Motor Yachts on the Endurance
Storage
Must not sell very many yatchs, cain't even efford socks...................
In the bible, covetousness is one of the 7 deadly sins. I’m in trouble now.
No it's not.
It was humor. I love Fleming Yachts
First time here. Captain Steve could learn a thing or two from Aquaholic. Sounds like a middle school class presentation. Add so personality buddy
Not in my personal taste. Wood everywhere!! How about carpet and the exercise room?? Seriously
only about $2 MM overpriced.
.
Owner operator with large family? 2 cabins, you need to get someone with brains to write your scripts.
