    Awesome explanation, could you do a guide with maretted connections or is it the same as a terminal block for potential difference? Thanks.

    I have 16 volts between common and power. Is it the transformer in the furnace? or in the condenser?

    Power for the blower on a heat call might come from the sequencer.

    I don’t know where the board you are checking is. I know there is one inside the thermostat but that doesn’t seem to be the one you are checking. Is it on the furnace?

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  Год назад

      This board was used as a reference. It could be a board or just a terminal block but the key is to focus on the thermostat cable entering your indoor unit/furnace. Follow that cable inside the indoor unit & you will find the board/terminal block you are looking for👍 Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

    If the cover is off so is the control board how are you to test wires coming from the wall
    If the control board is set aside and how can you switch of and on auto/fan if the cover is off. This I find a little confusing, but I think it's me

    • @bklynrizz714
      @bklynrizz714 2 года назад +2

      The board he's testing in the video is a supposed to be the control board you'd find inside your blower unit. The thermostat he keeps turning on and off is on the wall in the home.

    I'm a DIY homeowner. Removed old thermostat a while ago for remodeling project. Didn't label anything because it seemed everything was obvious and correct... r to r, w to w, etc. Now, a month later, trying to install new nest thermostat. I'm getting 24 on multimeter for red coupled with each wire, yet thermostat not getting power. Any suggestions??? I've even tried reinstalling the old thermostat and that's not working either.

      No batteries on thermostat btw, powered via c wire

    • @AxhuuL
      @AxhuuL 2 года назад

      It all depends on how it’s wired at the furnace/air handler.

    • @bigdaddy4975
      @bigdaddy4975 2 года назад

      The nest needs a battery or a common wire or it won’t work.

    You can’t check the thermostat when you have the face off and try to operate the unit at the same time.
