astronomy is studying a particular subject in space. If you are interested in stars. You can take a phd in astronomy based on stars. Astrophysics is explaining phenomenon and other unanswered question about space with the help of physics and chemistry. Cosmology is the studying about universe how it's ending and starting, dark matter and dark energy. If you want to take astrophysics you have to pursue bachelor's in physics then masters in physics or physics with applied astrophysics you can study in any college till you complete masters. Then you to write the exam NET JRF exam to get admission in IIA. At IIA you have to take phd in astrophysics then do post doctorate / continue research but if u want to work at ISRO you need post doctorate. I hope this helped you. I'm a 9 th grade student. I want to be an astrophysicist... 😇
I think ur asking it to the youtuber , but what I think is you should go-on with IIA bc it's very filtered right ( talking about their field of research , it's very specific, the space science ) . And can I know of what kinda thing are you interested in astrophysics , 1. Observational study 2. Theoretical study Or 3. Experimental study
@@sudarshann7194 yeah!! IIA is also a good choice... But Im 9 standard student, I'm still soo confused about my future/AIM/career... I have 2 choice Research Scientists and Astrophysicist... I'm interested in both of them.... I think IIA is best for astronomy and IISC is best for others i.e. Research Scientist...
in india yes , because even if you get phd you will get a salary of maybe 50000/m which is shit compared to the years you give into the studies. so just imagine it without phd
What is the difference between astrophysics and astronomy ..... Is both courses available in india ?? I passed 12th this year which college should i aim for ? Anyone please help :)
I am not sure........ But I think u should do masters in mathematics and then u should do phd in astrophysics....... If u want to be an astrophysicist...........

Astrophysics is generally pursued at the Masters and PhD level so you need to usually do a bachelor's in physics/ electronics (if you want to go into astronomical instrumentation). Try to get into bachelor's where you can get exposure to a lot of things. Banglore(Christ)/Mumbai(Xavier's) seem to be the best places due to proximity to IIA, TIFR, IISC, ICTS etc
Please help me. I have a degree in civil engineering which I don't know why I did. I have a great fascination for astrophysics and I really want to persue this career. Please someone help me with your guidance. Iam 27 now. Don't want to live this life this way.
You can give gate exam and I think you can persue astrophysics in Iisc banglore , iia , iist , etc .. please do some research in this topic go to there website and check the eligibility and start the preparation
