    Good Evening. I do hope you can help me. I am in my early 70s and quite au fait with modern technology. However, for the life of me I cannot get my headphones (wired) to work on my Samsung smart TV in our bedroom. I have read over and over instructions and following many tutorials but there is no sound coming from the headphones. They are new with all the necessary "bits and pieces"! I followed your brief explanation. Easy to follow. I have been doing what you have advised all to no avail. Please can you help? Where am I going wrong. Sounds easy on paper! PS Could be my age!!!! Looking forward to hearing from you asap.

      Wired headphones should be plug and play. Simply plug the headphones into the TV's 3.5mm AUX OUT port or Headphones port. If you're not getting any sound, you can check the TV's sound settings and make sure that the Sound Output is set to "headphones" (settings name may vary by TV).

    I have a Yamaha receiver (no bluetooth) and an LG smart tv with a Comcast cable box. Since I can’t find a way to use headphones through the receiver, I currently have 1 pair of headphones plugged into cable box and one to the tv for smart channels. Is there a way to only need one pair of headphones for both? The good thing now is I can use headphones and still have sound play for others - I don’t really want to lose this.

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  Год назад

      This is a dicey situation that may require some trial and error, because each TV works differently. You can check your receiver and see if it has an Optical/SPDIF Output port. If it does, please try connecting the headphones there. Regarding using headphones and still having sound play for others: this also varies by TV model and brand. If it works, it works. If not, there is a workaround which is to get a Bluetooth transmitter with Passthrough, and you connect a pair of external speakers to the transmitter to get sound through the headphones and speakers at the same time.

    Hello thank you for your video. I could really use your help. I have a 2019 Samsung TV that has no aux connection. And has no option for Bluetooth headphones or any type of headphones. The model is
    Un40n5200afxza.
    I just bought headphones Bluetooth headphones to work with it. I thought I could hook the Bluetooth headphones up to my soundbar which is a Sony I thought that was the way around it but it will not connect to my Sony Bluetooth Soundbar either. I hope to hear from you thank you

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  Год назад

      What model Sony Soundbar do you have? It is likely that the soundbar is not compatible. Most Bluetooth Soundabars only have receiving capabilities; they are not able to transmit. As a result, you can't send its sound to your headphones. You can contact Sony customer support for more information.

    My gaming headset comes with a USB stick that I plug into the gaming console _first_ before I activate the Bluetooth settings, would I need to put that same USB drive into the Firestick TV before accessing the Bluetooth option on it? Or would I simply just skip the first step?

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  10 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on your device, but yes, you most likely need to use the same USB drive for your Firestick TV. Often times if a gaming headset comes with a USB stick then you'll need to use them together.

      There isn't an easy solution for this.
      One workaround you can do is to buy external speakers and an audio splitter. Then you plug the speakers and the headphones into the audio splitter and the audio will play to both at the same time.

    I just received the HF 2039 Long-Wired Headphones with DAC adapter for my Sharp 60 inch LCD TV, I chose this item because the TV doesn’t have any headphone jacks.
    I connected everything according to your specs but unfortunately the “audio” section is grayed out in the menu section on the TV so I cannot get the sound to come through the headphones. I’ve tried everything including resetting the TV but cannot get the headphones to work. It seems to be any issue with the digital output not working with the HDMI source.
    Any ideas?

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  8 месяцев назад

      Does your TV have anything plugged into the HDMI ARC port? If so, then the DAC adapter will not work, as the TV will prioritize whatever's in the HDMI ARC port. If you need both to work simultaneously, we recommend the HAX05. avantree.com/hax05-hdmi-arc-audio-extractor

    You didn't explain that when I don't want to listen via Avantree Bluetooth, should I remove the digital optical cable from the back of the TV, or can I hear the original TV sound from the TV's speakers again by pressing a button from Avantree box ?

      Older TVs typically have a "headphones" jack which is essentially a 3.5mm AUX jack. It is sometimes located at the front of your TV. You can use this to connect headphones or transmitters. If you truly have no output jacks, consider contacting your TV brand's customer service.

If your TV supports this, use a wireless Bluetooth transmitter connected to your TV through Optical, and you will be able to hear from your headphones and the TV at the same time. We just bought Samsung Qn50q60BAF TV and already had a Avantree BTTC 6190. The TV hasn’t got audio Jack so we bought a usb to audio output adapter. This didn’t work. If we hook up the optical cable it takes audio preference and we have to go into audio settings and force TV Speakers and Avantree to share output every time we turn on the TV and any time we switch between Cox cable and our Firestick. Do you have suggestions for setting preferences for dual outputs?

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  Год назад

      Dual outputs depends on your TV brand and model. If you can't find the settings in your TV, then it is likely that it is not supported by your particular TV. My Insignia headphones worked great until last week. All of a sudden it does not hold charge anymore than 45 minutes and goes dead. Putting it back to charge, but the same thing happens when I want to use them again, every day the usefulness shortens by about 5 mins. Today it lasted about 25 mins before going dead

      Hey there! If you're connecting your Bluetooth earbuds directly to your TV via the TV's built-in Bluetooth, you'll only be able to hear through one or the other. If you want the option to listen through both earbuds and a soundbar, you'll probably need to buy a transmitter (such as the Avantree Orbit or Oasis Plus)

    • @Avantree
      @Avantree  7 месяцев назад

      Did you pair your AirPods directly with your TV? If so, try using your TV remote to adjust the volume. If that doesn't work, you will need to buy a Bluetooth transmitter to adjust the volume. Pair the airpods with the transmitter instead and use the volume controls to adjust. This is a weakness with True Wireless Earbuds like AirPods, it's hard adjust the volume when connected with a TV. avantree.com/oasis-b-bluetooth-transmitter-receiver

    I have a 1 year old Smart Sony TV. My very hard of hearing brother moved in and brought with him an old Insigna headphone. He is 89, I am 72. I have done everything in the instructions, the base shows the things are paired but the headset has no sound. What can I do?

    • @Avantree

      There could be a multitude of reasons why you aren't getting sound. Please check your Sony TV's settings. Go to Sound/Audio, Output, and make sure that it's set to PCM, Stereo, or Headphones (it depends on the TV). Do not have it set to Dolby Digital or Surround Sound. If you still need help, please contact Insigna customer support.

    I'm in the UK. I have a great bluetooth TV and this is connected wirelessly to a great set of 4 Sonos speakers (TV sound bar, woofer and 2 smaller speakers behind the sofa).
    I also have a pair of brilliant quality but ageing Bose wired headphones. I have only used them for maybe 10hrs in total so although 9 years old, they are expensive and are of fantastic quality but hardly used. I dont want to throw them away. When my wife goes to bed I want to watch you tube classical music and Netflix films with full fidelity sound, but I dont want to wake her by using the external blue tooth sonos system as I wont get the full immersive sound at the lower volumes.
    Thus do you sell a device that allows the tv to beam a signal wirelessly (no cables on show near the tv) from the TV to a device that I would put behind the sofa and that allows me to plug in my 3.5mm jack plug wired Bose headphones into a bluetooth signal receiving device fro the tv?

      Hi Kevin,
      For your use case, please consider the Avantree Oasis Plus: avantree.com/oasis-plus-bluetooth-transmitter-for-tv?
      It's a Bluetooth Receiver that you can stick behind your sofa and plug your headphones into.
      Plug the Oasis Plus into power. Flip the power switch to "RX", then pair it with your TV's Bluetooth.
      Connect your headphones to the AUX output port on the back, then press the AUX button to switch to AUX mode.
      Now you should be good to go!

      @@donyannacito4575 Hi there! I have a few recommendations and will link them below!
      If you'd like to keep using your own headphones, I would recommend the Avantree Lock. It's a transmitter/receiver device that allows you to pair to your TV wirelessly. For this device, you would plug the transmitter into your TV via RCA (red & white audio cords) and your wired headphones into the matching receiver. They should pair automatically and be very simple to use. avantree.com/lock-bluetooth-transmitter-receiver-set?
      The other option I would recommend is the Avantree Opera or Ensemble, which are transmitter/headphone bundle. The transmitters also double as a charging dock, so you won't have to worry about extra cords to charge. Both are compatible with all TVs on the market, support 2 Bluetooth headphones at a time, and can be paired to other devices (such as phones or laptops), but the Opera has Passthrough Support, which allows you to use your external speakers/soundbar at the same time you use your headphones (when using the optical port).
      Opera: avantree.com/opera-bluetooth-headphones-for-tv-watching?
      Ensemble: avantree.com/ensemble-ht5150-bluetooth-headphone-for-tv?
      Hope this helps!

    Much too high a pricetag to spend $100 bucks or 1/3 the cost of a new widescreen TV. I've seen very good ones on Amazon (Bluetooth Audio Transmitters) for Under $35 and they work well with my system. My Samsung 55 in. has no imput for 3.5mm plug audio, nor does it connect a USB wired earphone, nor does it support a composite connection or a Bluetooth and it's only a 2016 TV! I'd say different if it was 20 yrs old. They want to sell more TVs of todays Bluetooth capable TVs every 2-3 years and they deem it "out of technology" beyond that.

      My pleasure. Avantree will need it at that cost. For under $30 I see a qualifying bluetooth audio transmitter that should serve the purpose without hocking my home to pay $100. Sorry, but it's much too expensive a solution.
