Dear Mr. UNKOWN WINECASTER. I have to say I have listened to almost all of your casts. I am ready to take my somm exam this Sept. If I can only tell you how much you have helped me. Its a lot of info to go through and you have definitely helped me confront the otherwise daunting body of information. I thank you and please keep going. I do have a request as far as service and what temperature and when and when not to decant or oxygenate wine. Maybe service aspects stuff. Thank you again👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thank you! I'm really glad the casts have been helpful to you. I have to confess that I have very little practical experience with service -- I'm really much more interested in wine theory, but I'll see what I can do. Meanwhile, good luck on your exam, and I hope my work will continue to be helpful to you. Cheers!

I'm looking forward to the next episode, too. The process of laying all of the information out in an intelligible form really helps cement my understanding of it. Cheers and thanks for watching!

I enjoy sherry and have had many styles, port as well. I have researched and studied both wines. You my friend have a nack for condensing a boatload of info into a concise cast while hitting the important points. If you wrote a book you would do it beautifully in 300 pages where I would do it in an unreadable 500. Its definitely an art. Cheers!

Thanks, that's very kind, but we'll see how you feel about my skills after next week's cast -- there's a lot to condense when it comes to Sherry. Cheers!

Yes! Another great cast! I'm admittedly weak on spirits so I'm hoping that these casts will help for my upcoming test.

Wait 'til you see next week's. Production and styles are pretty complicated but hopefully I can lay them out in a way that makes sense. When's your test, by the way?

July 23rd. My WSET study guide came in a month late, so I'm busting it to switch from the other book I was using to this new one.

I'm glad to hear your guide arrived! After watching your last couple of study sessions I was starting to get worried that you were gonna burn yourself out on the Somm Prep Course (it's a good book -- I have a copy myself -- but it covers WAY more stuff than you need for the level 2 exam). Anyway, good luck with the new study regimen. If you're in need of a cram session or two before the test, let me know and I'll put you through wine boot camp via Skype, lol. Cheers!

Hard to believe after 4 years that you have less than 500 likes. What’s up with that?!? These videos are EXCELLENT!!!! But…. you need to work on your Castellano. The Z is pronounced as a lisp, th, so it is JereTH and THona de producción. Gracias!

¡Jaja! Thank you for both the compliment and the advice, but I make it a point NOT to speak like a Castilian since I was raised on the Spanish of the Canaries and the Caribbean (where "z" is an /s/). Speaking only for myself, I find it as odd to affect a Castilian accent when speaking Spanish as I would if I were to affect a "southern" American accent if I were talking about some subject germane to that region (which would probably not be wine). Thanks again.

Thanks! One of my big questions on my level 3 was on Tokaji production -- glad I studied the crap out of it, those things can be a bear. Cheers!
