I really appreciated the probing questions that you asked, and also Mike's candor in answering them. I think that part of his reluctance to use mob grazing ties in to the fact that he still works "off-farm" a good part of the time, and you can't burn a candle at both ends, as the old saying goes. I wonder if he were to practice mob grazing, if his land would regenerate faster, allowing for him to still raise his own hay without impacting stocking capacity?
protofmaster- Agree with you. If you don’t want to or can’t do intensive grazing, you’re unlikely to say “Intensive Managed Grazing is the BEST method, but we don’t do it.” She’s a great interviewer. She does interview a lot of people who aren’t certified organic, aren’t regenerative. I’ve noticed that usually those are the ones just breaking even. They aren’t all in. It’s odd because it seems the more hardcore regen you go, the more money you make.
@@C.Hawkshaw that’s a really interesting perspective. I can’t say I have done a tally for the number of farmers we have seen have specific labels. I think I would state that there are a lot of people using organic methods but aren’t certified because of the costs / headaches.
I can't love this video enough! I could have listened to more! It is obvious that they both have a passion for it. It was interesting to hear his perspective about science and the application to the food pyramid - actually somewhat validating as well. Just so much great information! And, such great questions! Well done!
Thank you so much!! I definitely see a follow up in our future with Mike! He was so great to talk with and yes, there was so much more we could have spoke about!
Great video. I have a passion to do the same since a kid...The benifits of healthy food has pushed me closer and hope to get started soon...A doctor stressing health and no atibiocs...
Absolutely enjoyed this conversation and the complexity of the interview and the intelligent participation from both of you
Thank you!! I really loved getting his perspective! It was great to talk with him!
What an amazing interview, thank you!
Thank you so much!! Mike is pretty awesome! I love what he’s doing there!

Thank you so much! That’s an interesting point. And maybe. But maybe not. I’ll be sure to ask them and maybe have them on a livestream soon!

Thank you! We enjoyed his insight!
When a doctor believes the importance of pasture grass fed meat’s health benefits to where they do it themselves. That says a lot!
I completely agree!! It’s a large statement and I’m so glad he is there is make it!

“Is it Science or Religion?” Great question to ask yourself when looking at how to manage things.
Yes!! I love how he put that!!
What are we all going to do when the people in control tell us we can no longer be farmers and ranchers?
christine - that’s why we vote, and bear arms.
Who is telling us that?
