- Was near Jacksonville Fl and decided to head to Hilliard to catch some high speed CSX action and it did not disappoint. There was a variety of everything at high speeds. Fast manifests, intermodals, Amtraks, and coal trains make up this video. The highlight being the 12 locomotive manifest featuring a NS leader and a CSX SD70mac
Love the Shave and a Haircut with the first CSX train.
Some serious video. Definitely the need for speed was fulfilled. It's a wonder that the vacuum created didn't absorb you into the train.
You get a 10 on content and presentation. AWESOME!
Whew! Even seeing those hopper trains go so quick is amazing
Reminds me quite a bit of unstoppable. The movie. These at speed trains are amazing to see and amazing to hear. Great job filming. I wish I ga tracks like these near me
Thank you for not showing the entire train like on other channels, jv channels ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This video realy captures the Olympian thunder of those mighty GE locomotives!
Great views through a great camera. I doubt if I'll be in that particular area physically, so its nice to at least get some good looks at it via RUclips
Excellent good video, mr Carter's Caboose.
I have seen many video's from trainspotters in America ( U.S.A. ) including you but a freightrain with 12 dieselbeasts including a NS on the front and a BNSF in the middle. Nice shot Maestro 👌👍.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸
Thank you very much!!!
Love watching and catching track speed trains
You definitely deserve more subscribers. Your videos are amazing!
Holy cow! I’ve never in my life seen a train pulled by twelve locomotives! How long was it?
I would say about average sized honestly
The BNSF does this where I live sometimes I’ll see trains with up to 6-7-8 or more engines leading them but a lot of times they are just be transported either to a different rail yard for other duties or Locomotive shop for maintenance or for rebuilding or something like that
@@johnrottler4000 That sort of setup is known as a "Power Move" and that's exactly the purpose. Moving locomotives from one place to another for whatever reason.
@@turnerdeedo4633 Yup and they are very cool to see
Rail roads can move Move many locomotives at one time. But can only have 36 working, or powered axles at a time. So out of the12 locomotives only 6 we’re generating power.
Only one may be pulling the entire train, no smoke from the others.
New subscriber. Your catches are amazing.
4:48 to 4:54 sounded amazing. I subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Same😁😁😁
I would've called that train the rocket because of how fast it moves!
12 locomotives 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂 🚂! Power at it best!
Not many single track lines have 70 mph speed limits. That’s cool!
Cool lashup on the powermove!
Nice catches of those fast freights!
Great video
Amtrak and CSX goes Blazing steed
Shavejn’ haircuts are the best horn salutes!
Back east used to be so much more fun. All that CSX, that can be seen in Wichita now, used to be B&O, C&O, SCL, L&N, CRR, WM, Family Lines, all the Chessie variants, SBD, omg I miss all that.
Damn! That lashup is awesome!!
Dunno about now, but usually when u see that many units, only 2 or 3 are on line. The rest are the equivalent of a loaded car.
I’m your 100th sub! Congrats!!
MyLifeMyWay YT thank you. Subbed back!
Wow that’s a lot of engines. Guessing they were moving them to a yard?
Whoa the CSX Q027-09 is behind the Amtrak's tail.
I thought it was called the rocket because it was moving fast until you had explained it.
Awesome lashup great catch on Q455
Great video. That Q455 was an awesome train.
Thank you. Yeah it was a great surprise for sure.
Nice. Question: Was this on the CSX A-Line? Some of the trains shown on here seem familiar.
Wow that was nice seeing! 😀
Thank you very much.
I subbed
Wonder why the door was open?
if you're ever in a sleeper and it's noisy and rough riding , you're probably looking at what causes it , these fast heavy freight trains beating the crap out of rails just listen to how loud the noise of that steel on steel is
Growing up I lived about a mile from the tracks outside Hilliard and I am a heavy sleeper and can confirm this lol
awesome video that 12 lashup was cool
Almost all 12 locomotives were AC powered, but the Dash 8s and 9s weren't AC. (AC means that theres a bolt on the CSX locomotives, besides others but still uses AC power from ES44AC-H, ET44AC, AC44C6M, AC44CW, AC44CWM, SD70ACC, SD70ACE, SD70IAC, SD70ACU, and SD70MAC)
0:28 nice
Great video and shots I have subscribed
I agree with you ☺️
Again, massive power on the NS. Great catch. Was that a power move? Cheers from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Yes likely going to waycross Georgia for service. Thanks for watching!!
4:46 Twelve locomotives!
Thats 52 800 horsepower right there lmao
I’m guessing that there taking other locomotives to another facility.
And 10 of them weren’t running
Loco parade❤
Nice Shave and A Haircut at 0:30. Nice vid overall!!! New subscriber!!
What’s that mean?
@@fhowland Nothing, just the engineer saying “Hello!” To the person filming.
very very cool video! I think i need to go down there. But what type of camera do you use?
CSX goes Blazing steed
awesome catches. which subdivision of csx is this?
Nahunta. Thanks
What does that red "stop light" on the tracks mean for the train conductor?
Joe Momma it means the engineer has to bring the train to a complete stop! It’s basically the same thing as a traffic light. Stop at red, and go at green.
why does a train need 12 locomotives? Are all of them producing power? I seen longer trains out west with 5 locomotives?
Most of the time those extras are turned off and just being transported to a maintenance shop for required service.
"Faster boy, faster!" 😜
I don´t think all the 12 locomotives were running because I didn´t see smoke from all of them.
12 locomotives in total 4:51
Very fast, 70mph?
There's 12 engines at 4:47
How amazing fast
6:17 Bob Esponja!
What type of camera do you use?
He forget close the door
Awesome
70 mph on the east coast? Didn't think that was even possible. Felt like that was more of a west coast thing since it's so barren out there
Guy Muffin yeah that is what makes Hilliard and areas around South Georgia so awesome. 70mph track speed for intermodal.
Carter's Caboose glad to hear that! Here in Houston trains never hit 70, usually 50 and under. Hearing any locomotive in notch 8 is amazing no matter what they are.
cant find too many videos on it besides this one. acl109 is a YT channel and he has a lot of videos of CSX actually going 70mph
Large stretches of the south between medium and large cities are pretty empty just a lot of piney woods and back roads. Good flat lands for fast speeds.
you do not show all cars rolling by
Here in Ozark arkansas 70 mph is normal never anything slower 60-70
No zooming please. Long FL (focal length) in the distance, but then cut to normal FL. Zooming is distracting, and the train looks slower at long FL.
There's no way beating iron monster crossing the track hell crush you
0:28 Shave and a haicut
now, they call it the rocket because those EMD engines are the big boys and haul ass better than the crap GE's haha
These guys they have to slow down because the FBIs are going to arrest the engineer and the conductor
those aren't fast...i bet i could still beat every single on of those trains (except amtrak and the intermodal) at 65 mph
@Kymoreon Walker 60 is not fast i still beat them at that speed
Signals (horns) of American locomotives are simply awful. Compared to Russian trains.
