Longsword was my favorite when I first starting playing, been using it again recently and it’s so much fun and so satisfying to use, very versatile weapon that does good against any class. It is an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Dane Axe fucks ngl. I love that you can have 2 just to chuck one at someone. Sometimes I get too carried away and throw both, then end up stuck with some random weapon I had to pick up 😂
I really like the war axe with a tiny shield. Reach is an issue at times, but damage is heavy,it's very fast,good recovery. And viggest bonus is i can use it at 100 percent efficiency at all times, hallway, front of a battle line, on the flank, the limited reach is very helpful in one way, nothing is gonna stop that power swing but an actual block. Not a pole, team mate, or a wall like frequently with the two handed weapons

Ah the longsword. Has good range, good damage, good speed. It is good at pretty much everything. Now it isnt great at everything, other weapons do certain stuff better obviously. But it is good at everything. Plus i always love using it for my Vanguard.
I use the heavy Calvary sword with a short sword back up. Let me tell you… it’s difficult to fight against me. I got a shield that I normally throw at the start and just go to town.

I'm kinda mixed between Messer and Polehammer, both work pretty well for me and are insanely good at crowd control, but I feel a bit more in the direction of the Polehammer because I like the class abilities more
I just got the game while it was free and the only weapon I consistently do really well is the Longsword. The balance feels just right and it was the first weapon that put me on the top of the board.

Idk what it's called but the pointy club is fire too you can swing hella fast and it doesn't have a lot of damage but a heavy swing destroys multiple people at once
I've been slowly ranking up all the 2h to rank 20 - despite wanting to hate swords they are best. speed and fluidity beat raw damage 7 times out of 10 for me lol
I love 1 baning Maisons with the dane Axes that I just started to pick up weapons others droped and threw them at them since I even managed to throw my knife at someone
Even though it's probably last on most lists, the sledgehammer is probably the most satisfying and fun weapon to use imo if you're bored of the usual weapons
The Halberd is overall amazing with its tricky to learn animations and it being the longest weapon besides the spear The greatsword is what id call a "drag trainer" weapon which makes it easy to use in duels and stay decent for its true purpose as a multi-threat weapon. The dane axe is too fast to often read making it insane and overused just as the chiv1 claymore was, it makes it difficult to counter unless you learn their moveset The messer is good, its a drag trainer and it does good for multi-combat but i say the rapier is better it legit has an instant repost that the game can barely register a block for And the longsword is overall amazing, its versatility with slow heavy attacks and fast reposts can really throw people off
I find that the morning star with the shield can be broken sometimes lol. With constantly circling your opponents with a combination of delayed heavy attacks really Fuck ur opponents head up.

Executioner’s axe bonus damage vs knight and footman is the reason I go with it over dane axe. But dane axe is faster in every aspect I believe.

I just got the game while it was free and the only weapon I consistently do really well is the Longsword. The balance feels just right and it was the first weapon that put me on the top of the board.
The weapons you mentioned require some skill to use effectively, but for pubstomping any kind of two handed axe will outperform any other weapon.
It’s very extremely rare anyone can out pub stomp me and I prefer ls, gs or messer.

The Warhammer also deals HUGE damage and is used at an off-tempo speed for bypassing parries.

Everyone sleeps on the poleaxe so hard. It's basically a greatsword with the axe damage buff that deals extra stamina damage.
