Southern 4501 - Steam Returns to Georgia

Southern Railway 2-8-2 4501 returns to Summerville, Georgia for the first season since 2019.
In September 2023, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, in conjunction with the Chattooga & Chickamauga Railway, announced the revival of their beloved Summerville Steam Special excursions, These all day trips operate south from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Summerville, Georgia on a 100-mile round trip. TVRM's famed Mikado 4501 would once again haul these trains on the grand return to Summerville.
These shots were filmed in the peak of fall colors, complimented by the sights and sounds of Southern steam railroading in Tennessee and North Georgia!

The Mikado, in my opinion, is the best looking steam locomotive there is. It's such a classic looking steam locomotive as well. The Mikado is what comes to mind for me when I think of steam engines.

I have to admit this 3 chime whistle on 4501 sounds great in contrast to her Southern Railway 3 chime whistle it reminds me a little bit of the 3 chime whistle from Frisco 1522 a little bit not an exact but similar
