Probably the problem wasn't that it was just a different language, but rather than it was one from a completely different species Like, even if Spanish and English are not the same, with enough time you can start to relate some words with the ones from another language bc at the end of they day, they were both made by humans But imagine not having any point of comparition with that type of language, that probably was the hard part Robot was able to do so bc his gimmick is that he's a genious at everything so of course he was gonna be able to do it and learn enough of it to even hide stuff from Monster Girl
I'm still struggling with the only one I've ever used to read & speak... But then again I have seizures so details of many kinds are bound to forever be out of my reach... But from what I hope I understand correctly enough about it think about the differences between English & Japanese... One is like a combination lock system where you memorize patterns, the other is like trying to memorize a picture being shown to you one peace of the puzzle at a time... Context is king in English where in Japanese you just have to figure out where you are & want to go to from there... This is a systematic language barrier right here on the same planet between members of the same species... Bare minimum the concept of time & objective relevance would be different enough that once he picked up enough differences in sounds they where making he might have to make a massive assumption in order to start to understand what they would think of as important to communicate... IE: Regardless of being individually minded and similar to human society, maybe they think of themselves as a part of a larger living force by observing their world instead of only acknowledging each member as a peace of it like we do... In human cultural terms it would be like valuing myself only as though I where a finger of the hand of God so my importance is only as relative to what I can help that hand hold onto...

Honestly, she should feel like an idiot. She still hasn't learnt their language in 300 years. I mean robots. Obviously a genius that only took a month but still ill. You've had 300 years. By this point, you should at least be able to speak the basic of their language even if you weren't actively trying to learn it
Yeah but its an Alien Language, like all languages on earth will be easier than it just based on the fact that they are spoken by human mouths and will contain phonetics only humans can say. Also all languages on earth are somewhat related, and even the ones that aren't like language isolates will still contain basic ideas of verbs, nouns and subjects. But having a language developed by an entirely different species, from a different dimension with possibly different physics and concepts, its like saying she had 300 and yet she cant talk to Dolphins? I get the Flaxans are more humanoid and can learn English, but still so many factors. If anything Robot being able to learn it at all is a feat.
It's been 300 years. I have actually picked on pits and pieces of Japanese and I can understand a few Japanese words just from watching so much anime. I wouldn't claim to speak the language but I'm saying from 300 years even without actively trying. You probably got the language down just from hearing it constantly and it's not a situation where the alien language can't be spoken by humans due to difference and vocal cords since we know raw robot was able to speak it, meaning it can be spoken with the human vocal cords so it's not an issue of them having different vocal cords that humans just can't produce the same sounds

Him being a villain is a major story beat, and while the show does change some stuff, I don't think it will change major story beats, plus I think robots story is really good so personally I hope they don't change it. He's one of the better characters imo.
Not trying to be edgy, but I legit think robot was right. He did make things better for the flaxans and earth. It was done through betrayal, but mark, Cecil, Nolan and dinosaurus all lied about their true intents at certain points and killed many people, either on purpose or indirectly. The only thing is that robot was actually effective, and Mark was (kinda rightfully) butthurt about the betrayal, not the actual effectiveness of robots strategy. He was perfectly fine with Cecil still being around, and his father being absolute ruler of viltrum. Nope, Mark wouldn't play ball, got made to stay out of the way, and then got cranky and wouldn't let robot actually get shit done out of "guilt over mistakes he made" (read, being spoiled and mad that someone else wouldn't do what he wanted). Edit: the kidnapping was a cop out by kirkman when he knew he wrote himself into a corner. There was literally no need for it, and robot wouldn't be stupid enough to antagonize the whole viltrum empire so foolishly.
Robot was part effective , but then be ame a tyrant. He went to far, that's where he failed. If his intent was to save earth and let people be free, I'd agree 100 percent, but he wanted to be king again.
Its clearly shown that robot is not effective at leadership, he doesn't know how to bring groups together in a way that fosters peace and cooperation, his rule fosters violence, chaos and rebellion. He would serve best as an advisor or consultant but he absolutely should jotnhave prwer over anyblarge group of people, he has shown himself to be incompetent in that regard.

You are the less you have to actually be considerate of that fact That was the whole entire point of that arc And species in terms of how they got into that problem In the first place through overpopulation So there's a good chance that his plans would have placed humanity on top. In the end, what the people die in being those most likely to not live anyways, if earth was invaded by one of their many, if not millions of threats that are out there in space

Robot and MG is my favorite, I hope they show their relationship grow but this can easily be told off screen. weeks past after robot n MG disappear but they comeback saying they been in the flaxxan's world for over 300 yrs and the rest is like telling your friend about a vacation. you know something changed but dont know fully. and the rest is the actual arc of robot trying to make world peace.

In truth mark may of not even led them against him. Mark was about to be a leader, not the same as he was. Nolan did not like or agree with Rex's methods the only reason he didn't strike their was due to the fact robot was right and his people would lose to much to win. Even with thraggs children I don't think Mark would of till robot forced his hand
There is ONLY one reason why robot was such a strong enemy against mark and the others. He used surprise, and he was an ally. The facts are if mark or anyone with his level of power wanted to, they could beat robot in less time than it would take for his suits electronics to send a single electron a nanometer. The metal of his suit is butter. Mark is a hero and simply doesn’t want to hurt or kill people.
Rex should’ve just kept cloning himself making many duplicates with equal genius level intellects all connected under one hive mind… then it wouldn’t have mattered how many were killed or indisposed, he’d always have the ability to come back-furthermore, he could have ones in stasis with backups so it effectively be immortal… could also use flaxen tech to have increased his lifespan my slowing the aging process. Really it comes down to Kirkman writing himself into a corner and coming up with a lazy solution.

Yes. Some are whatever tier (Rex Splode), some are bad ideas (blacktivist Amber, chasing GoW:R Thor's shadow Lucan), and one is a legit improvement (Shrinking Ray if only because the girl version is cute as hell; both are kinda nothingburgers anyway)
Authoritarianism is very effective at its stated goal. Its problem, however, is curbing liberty and dissent. The arc mirrored that by making him successful at his chief goal, but at a very steep price that was ultimately too much for everyone to bear

Invincible is a comic sure, it’s not real life, but the politics have to be realistic in order for me to take the story seriously. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. A more realistic storyline is Robot starting with good intentions with his take over, but then resorting to more violent actions to “create peace.” Thus, making his actions seem ironic, as his goal of creating world peace cannot actually happen because he keeps killing his political opponents and protestors.
What I don't get about monster girl is she could live life like a regular human and age normally. Then when she gets old she can start using her powers a lot to get younger. Thus making her immortal but not invincible...
The monster is stronger the younger she is, so yeah she could live like a normal human, but she would be of no use if the world is in danger, or even if she is in danger herself

If there is one thing that he wanted to do it was live, To have agency and autonomy hence the robot name

He had already ruled an entire planet for like almost a 1000 years. At that point you can't add an idea of what happens when you let certain people do certain things
Causality is a hell of a thing the short-lived. You are the less you have to actually be considerate of that fact
That was the whole entire point of that arc And species in terms of how they got into that problem In the first place through overpopulation
So there's a good chance that his plans would have placed humanity on top. In the end, what the people die in being those most likely to not live anyways, if earth was invaded by one of their many, if not millions of threats that are out there in space

Not sure how many comic chapters is spent on this storyline, but the story sounds really dense and like it would take various chapters to animate it

Robot and MG is my favorite, I hope they show their relationship grow but this can easily be told off screen. weeks past after robot n MG disappear but they comeback saying they been in the flaxxan's world for over 300 yrs and the rest is like telling your friend about a vacation. you know something changed but dont know fully. and the rest is the actual arc of robot trying to make world peace.

In truth mark may of not even led them against him. Mark was about to be a leader, not the same as he was. Nolan did not like or agree with Rex's methods the only reason he didn't strike their was due to the fact robot was right and his people would lose to much to win.

basically the clone is a exact replica of the original up to that point but the original is still in his body so the original robot is dead

Authoritarianism is very effective at its stated goal. Its problem, however, is curbing liberty and dissent. The arc mirrored that by making him successful at his chief goal, but at a very steep price that was ultimately too much for everyone to bear

Invincible is a comic sure, it’s not real life, but the politics have to be realistic in order for me to take the story seriously. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. A more realistic storyline is Robot starting with good intentions with his take over, but then resorting to more violent actions to “create peace.” Thus, making his actions seem ironic, as his goal of creating world peace cannot actually happen because he keeps killing his political opponents and protestors.
What I don't get about monster girl is she could live life like a regular human and age normally. Then when she gets old she can start using her powers a lot to get younger. Thus making her immortal but not invincible...
The monster is stronger the younger she is, so yeah she could live like a normal human, but she would be of no use if the world is in danger, or even if she is in danger herself
