  • CHOCO LAVA CAKE NO EGG, NO OVEN - One of the most searched for recipes is the Choco lava cake. It is super easy to make and is a kids' favourite any time! Molten Chocolate Cake or Chocolate Lava Cake brings together a chocolate cake and soufflé and is also a beautiful combination of textures, a crumbly exterior with a soft chocolate centre.
So here's my recipe for a quick and easy Choco lava cake without oven, without egg. And there's a recipe for a 2 mins Microwave Choco lava Mug Cake too!! :)

Just to make that clear, the cup he's using is of ½ cup size which is used in baking. There's a cup larger in size which is called 1 cup. So he's not measuring it wrong. ☺️

We are splitting this Choco Lava Cake recipe so that you and your partner can split the efforts and multiply the fun. Because when it’s made by two, doing half the work is like a cakewalk for you.*
Cooking time with better half: 7-8 minutes
    Chef 1
    Ingredients:
    ½ cup Chilled Water
    3 tbsp Oil
    1 tsp Lemon juice
    ⅓ cup Powdered sugar
    1 tsp Vanilla essence
    1 tsp Butter
    2 tbsp Maida
    Procedure:
In a bowl add chilled water, oil, lemon juice, powdered sugar, vanilla essence and mix everything properly.
Pass the bowl along with some positive vibes to Chef 2.
Take any desired mould and apply butter to it and keep it in the freezer to set the butter.
Now remove it and dust some maida on each side of the mould properly and again set it in the freezer and let Chef 2 know so that they can use it when they bake the cake.
    Chef 2
    Ingredients:
    A pinch Salt
    2 heaped tbsp Cocoa powder
    ½ cup Maida
    ½ tsp Baking soda
    100 gm Dark chocolate

Keep the filled moulds in the freezer for a minute.
Now remove and place in a hot steamer and steam it for 4-5 minutes not more than that.
After that remove the cake from the mould gently and serve warm.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought another chef making the mug cake and choco lava cake in make-do steamer! But of course, this chef doesn't just exude confidence for nothing. He will just pull a tip off his hat when you least expect it.
I loved the video Sir. Thanks for posting this :) Will definitely try this version. I also request you to post healthy deserts for the sweet toothed people out here.. ;)

    Hi Chef,
I tried this recipe last night. The taste was really good. However, the texture was more jelly-like, rubbery, and not fluffy like a cake. I figured out it was because you didn't mention adding baking powder with baking soda. Adding baking power made a big difference and the cake was very soft and fluffy. I hope you will consider this feedback as I always look up to you as a great chef who has inspired millions and made cooking a lot easier.
