I just used your video to groom my schnauzer, and it came out great! I took my time (multiple rewinds), lots of treats, and praise. She wouldn't let me do her face, but she did so well with her body and feet I didn't care. Thank you SO much. 💓

I really appreciate the explanation though out the hall video...i was able to groom my schnauzer by myself...after i was done....i took him to my brother's house who also owns a schnauzer and he asked me where i took him for his grooming and he couldn't believe me when i told them i did the job my self after i showed him this video explaining the process....thanx very much 🙏🙏

Thank you. I spent $50 a month on my last schnauzer for 12-13 years. My life is calming down enough where I will be blessed hopefully enough to take on another schnauzer. I could use the savings and we both always hated being separated at grooming time. I had a groomer that came to my home towards the end but this time I plan to do it myself. Love this breed. A lot like me, very intelligent, loves humor, and extremely loyal. I can’t wait to pick one out. I just love all dogs, not looking forward to passing any dogs over. Thanks again…✌️

He's so calm. Truly a dog that has been a custom to clipping starting as a puppy. All three of mine did like messing with them at the rear and under the tale. This guy you can see was groomed correctly previously. I do like the legs to have more of a straight line from the nails up. So we don't actually see the foot line. Great video with lots of tips.👍👍
I've never taken mine to a professional...always did it myself. He was always so calm and well behaved...but the last few times I've done it, you would think he's rabid. Acted awful, snarling and growling and showing his teeth...and the last time....he bit me. So I don't know what in the world I'm gonna do. I've decided that I am gonna get a muzzle for when I groom him.
Mine always did great at the groomers. She would even hold her front paws up to be worked on. She was also used as training for new groomers. She loved her pampering day, so it was okay. Annie was always scared we would leave somewhere, but not at the groomers!!
YES! I hate when I see someone’s schnauzer who has had the hair shaved straight across from the shoulders to the tail and the skirt left sticking out like ruffles on an eighties prom dress! You did it perfectly. Blend it into the body and have it follow the chest and belly underneath. ♥️
Amazing job on the schnauzer. Your the first to see you use the 7 skimmer blade. I do that a lot myself. I’m getting back to grooming again after 20+ years doing it. Haven’t done it in almost 15 years now. Going to be working in a mobile grooming place soon. I’m just watching all the new video’s of groomers from all over some still use my old techniques, and some are very new especially some of the newer breeds of dogs. Thanks for the videos. Good recap.
Lol!! I love schnauzers! Unlike the shitzus, he doesn't shake and pant, he simply tolerates it and when it hurts he slowly but pointedly gives a glare as if to say, "YOU...are hurting me, are you aware...I do NOT appreciate that." Lol!! And then other times he just looks the other way grumblingly annoyed. But for the most part he takes it in stride. By the end most dogs are panting but he just looks annoyed and like,"Um...are you done yet...", and the only hint of stress is a lightly dripping nose. Lol! What a guy! ♥️♥️♥️

WOW20 I have a little beautiful rescue I’ve had since she was a year. She is going on 19 she IS the best dog I’ve ever had. My old girl loves her grooming I fill the tub as high as I can and let her soak in the warm water for her arthritis, she loves it. When she gets very throughly toweled she goes crazy running throughout the finally jumping on the bed to roll and rub to finish her drying. Good thing I always put an old cotton blanket on
A breath of fresh air.. being a groomer for 19 yrs my biggest peave with schnauzers is the pattern why is it that a lot of groomers like to set a cocker pattern on them. Great job! 🐩🐕FYI this takes years of experience and that's why she makes it look so easy. Patience is key dog's feel your energy if you are calm they will be calm. Trying to groom your own dog might be a bad idea. There are many different risk's you take by doing so. If you're pup is matted you run the risk of incurring some pretty expensive vet bills. Another thing to remember is a good patient groomer is very hard to find but is well worth the cost. It also usually takes time to build a trust and a relationship between your groomer and your fur baby. In my experience clients that try to groom their own pup's end up coming back for the professional groom but unfortunately now their pup is super naughty because you the owner doesn't have the right set up, patience, training, etc. The bottom line is if you can make some sacrifices to keep taking your pup to a professional chances are it will save you money in the long run. Anal glands, ear hair, an attentive groomer can notice the onset of some health issues and notify you of them before they become a bigger problem. 👍🐾❤️
You did a great job on this groom! I've had Minis and Standards and have sometimes groomed them myself. I was looking for a good tutorial to do my Standard Schnauzer's face. He's an old deaf guy we just adopted and the groomer doesn't do his face very well and I have to correct it. I like mine to look like a show dog. Fritz is a beautiful Mini. I rarely see them look like this anymore. He's such a good boy holding so still. He must be a retired show dog.

Fritz is being soooo good!! Where are you located? I have a mini that is 6 mos old. She’s been groomed twice so far and I wasn’t too crazy about either time. This is my third mini so I’m particular about how she’s groomed. I had an awesome groomer when I had my other two but she’s moved out of town. You are very talented! Not every groomer can do a good schnauzer cut.

I would've liked to have seen more of what the groomer was looking at. I'm new a this, so seening what the professional sees is important for me. The instructions were spot! But the angles were far away and not where she was facing the dog, so it was a bit hard to follow at times. I would definitely like to see more of her videos.

I notice that blades are quite expensive. Could we use metal comb attachments instead to get the desired length. The clippers I'm looking at getting come with a size 10 blade. I was thinking of just using a size one comb over the size 10 blade to get close to the size 7 blade (around 3mm). Would that be ok? I'm just clipping my schnauzer every 6 weeks.
