There is something so pure about this arrangement and performance. I've listened to it hundreds of times this past year and it never fails to bring me joy. Always fresh, always cathartic. Thank you for for sharing💙
LOVELY!!!! One of my favorite piano compositions!.. My favorite to play also. How wonderful to hear this inspiring arrangement.! Beautifully played!!!!I love this on percussion keyboards! I sold my piano and bought a marimba 5 years ago..Happy I kept my Ravel piano scores!! Thank you SO much for posting this. It's exquisite.
I swear to you I made an arrangement almost identical to this one on musescore years ago. Glad to see someone thought of something similar and put it into action.
I recently had a write an essay on the Forlane so I've heard it SO many times and wow, this is mind-blowingly different and stunning! increcible job to the arranger and both performers
A beautiful performance and arrangement, great videography, and great ensemble... I enjoyed it so much! Props to the performers and the recording engineer.
Wonderfully played, your collaboration is superb - every note crystal clear and both demanding and deserving of individual attention. Thank you for bringing this joyous experience to me today! 💖
This is incredible! The video production quality is almost as mind-blowing as your spectacular music-making! This Ravel sounds absolutely stunning in your hands and on these instruments.
This arrangement by Mathias Reumert does include the fugue and the toccata; the fugue is a bit trickier in terms of instrumental logistics and the toccata is well, a bit challenging to say the least haha!
@@michael_yeung haha i see, i do think the order of the movements in the orchestral version work very well, but yeah i just prefer the piano version with the fugue and toccata.
Hello! These are prototype Robert van Sice vibraphone mallets, they have since then been commercially released on Vic Firth. I would have been using the equivalent of a M313 in the bass with the rest being M314s.

The algorithm decided to bless me today with this. I'm very impressed by this nice arrangement!
The Forlane arrangement fulfills a vision Sina-Maritza Dinjian had of bells on the high clusters.
marimbas are so modern and soulful
Beautifully and artistically played
absolutely beautiful arrangement!

Fabulous transcription and artistry. :-)
God that's wonderful. Now do the Playful Pizzicato from Britten's Simple Symphony.
Nice! Menuet is my favorite.
i'm a bit sad that this doesn't include the fugue and toccata from the original piano version, but this is an amazing arrangement anyways!

what mallets are being used? The vibraphone sounds amazing!
Beautiful playing! If i can ask, what mallets is the vibraphone player using during Forlane?

@@michael_yeung thank you! Your performance is spectacular, I hope I can play it as well as y'all!
wow

I’m not quite sure what you mean? Happy to answer if you are able to rephrase
So beautiful!
