Maurice Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin (arranged by Aurél Holló) performed by Amadinda Percussion Group at Franz Liszt Academy of Music Budapest (February, 1999)
I love this piece - and this instrumentation is really interesting. Great performance. Ravel just never produces a piece of bad or boring music. He was, like Stravinsky, blessed with musical creativity. This piece is just so perfect and delicate. You cannot improve it by even one single note. It is a piece with such a strong and permeating rhythmic pulse.
HOLY HOLY SHIT!!! I can't believe this...Fantastic!! I've been practising TdCou for ages...I love it...know every single note...but that's another new world...
So beautiful! I grew up listening to recordings of this and your rendition is stunning. You have so much finesse and exactly the right musical inflections. Thanks for performing and posting this! -Kristen Shiner McGuire
Does anyone know where I could purchase this arrangement? I'd love to play this with my fellow studentds some day. If you happen to know please give me a link to a site where I could buy this. Also I live in europe so it needs to have european shipping (or a possibility to download it as a PDF). If someone can help me I'll be very grateful! Also a magnificent performance by Amandia! Ravel just works so well with mallet instruments.
so friggin cool!
This is beautiful in a very heart-lifting way ... brings a smile to my face.

Nice arrangement of a piece that certainly brings back memories of when I first heard this piece in 1987.
Very nice performance. Not much to say, but wow. Beautiful and light, full of emotion and strength.
