    I remember getting these that day, was one of my best days ever. Sadly I sold them for 800 and still regret it to this day.... one of my worst decisions of my life.

      Freemoney don’t stress it. you were part of sneaker history and made $700 profit on a $60 shoe. it’s all good man... the only bad thing to come of it is your reaction to it

    Riot is a massive overstatement.

      @xxGravyBabyxx 3 года назад +2

      Totally agree. this was just unorganized. Nike and Reed Space should of realized that releasing a limited shoe to one of the biggest cities in the U.S would attract attention, even for 2005. Glad the police was there to help them out.

    ...and thus, "Hype" was born.

  • @jacksonduval4995
    @jacksonduval4995 9 лет назад +64

    This wasn't the cause of the hype. The hype came from companies not producing enough kicks for everybody.

    • @garyzhong1489
      @garyzhong1489 6 лет назад +7

      there are tons of "limited" shoes sitting on rack, it's not only about the exclusiveness

      Yup and 3 years later this comment is still true! Company’s know most people can’t afford big brand shoes anyway the other half of people don’t give a fuck about shoes. So they still refuse to make enough for the small group of people that want and can’ afford them

      Rubsters52 Have fun waiting 4 months to get em .By that time I’ve already profited and cooked other shoes for twice the resell that these are gonna sell for. These would probably sit at around $400-$600 since over 50k have been sold just like the heinekens and it will take a couple months to hit the $1000s. Good for those who like the shoe but it aint my cup of tea.

    I'm late to sneaker appreciation and have been trying to learn about the history of some of the important shoes. Doesn't this story confirm that hype was an issue before this? All these people looking to kop or steal or sell the shoes... and nobody had even seen what they looked like?
