    I have heard from a lot of resellers that are mailing out brand new products, the buyer gets them, opens them, replaces the new item with the worn out one they have, then sends it to you as "Not as described". Ebay always believes the buyer.

    • @collectmoe
      @collectmoe  Месяц назад +1

      Yes eBay definitely backs up buyers, but I have had situations where they open an item and I just dock the refund. And have no issues. But in this specific one, I messed up by not taking pictures of the back. Expensive lesson learned.

    I noticed that with the crocs that one of shoes appears to have ANDY written in them.... But the other does not....It could be that the authenticator did not know that is by manufacturer and thought you wrote in it....you could always relist it and see if it passes a second time. Also, they could also fail to authenticate if missing the original box or bag despite having tags. If Crocs has then in their store with a box or bag and you do not have said box/bag you should list as new with defects and say no box/bag.....even though many stores sell them as new without bag/box.

    • @collectmoe
      @collectmoe  28 дней назад +1

      Thanks for the comment! They were listed as “new without box” when I spoke to authenticity guarantee said they seemed to be used. I was super confused, but I’ll go into it a little deeper in the next video. Short story if they are listed as “new” they will go through it very deep. If it’s listed as used then it’s a lot easier.

      @@collectmoe I wasn't saying that they were accusing it of not being authentic. I was not familiar with that croc I saw the word Andy written on it, on one but not the other... The authenticator may not have known this either. It is very subjective. I sold a pair of New balance once listed as new with box and it was returned back to me, because a small part of the sticker with UPC/size etc was torn. It was denied because I listed it new with box... When it should have been new with defects... And despite pictures showing the label. They can be nitpicky.

    Guessing you’re not shipping EIS for international? With EIS, eBay takes care of any returns, or so I’ve read. Haven’t had a return there yet. With the games, no way would I pay for a new shipping label. I might be nice enough to refund original shipping, but I wouldn’t eat the cost of resending. If they decide to outright return, I would not refund original shipping.

      This actually was an eBay international Shipping Label. Still got returned.
      I ended up refunding the original price and half of the shipping, but it still did not allow me to do it as a full refund (with taxes and fees) it was strange
      This is actually the second EIS that was returned by customs. The other was a fur jacket going to Canada. I have some updates , spoke to eBay and I’m gathering some screen shots and going to talk about it a little more in the next video.

    Did you already refund on the remote? If not only send a 50% refund without original shipping. Then note they sent back a different remote. Its a hard line to walk because you dont want negetive feedback either, but you dont ever want a seller to walk on you like that. If ebay gets enough of those same kind of reports from that buyer then your ultimately helping a future seller they may try to rip off.

    • @collectmoe

    Items returned to sender or not at address is not your problem/fault. Refund the buyer minus your shipping label cost. And then have them re-purchase if they want to re-buy paying for shipping again.

    I believe that Ebay will send them the money for the taxes since they are the ones that collected it.
    As far as the remote, you can talk to Ebay. They know that people switch things. I have seen suggestions from other people who resell who suggest telling the buyer that you will inspect the item and look for/verify your marking (even if there isn't one). Some buyers won't even try to return at that point.

      It’s weird because I’ve done several returns where it shows the detailed refund 1. Return 2. Fees 3. Taxes and shows what comes from me and what eBay will return . But in that mentioned return, it did not show all those.
      I did reach out to eBay , thank you and my costly mistake is, I did not take a picture of the back of the unit. It was one of the first items I listed 5-6 months ago. Huge mistake on my part.
      Thanks again 🙏🏽

    Do you have a store(s)? I tried the store thing, and I couldn't stand the way EB micro manages. Constant Email alerts "low level standards" "how to sell better" on and on. I wrote EB to stop emailing me. Then it was the penalties for not selling to their standards. Just too much.
    I'm concentrating on POSH and Merc. Easy peasy. I'm selling as much on Merc as EB.
    Ebay is weird and getting weirder. Those crocs look authentic. How do you authenticate crocs? Did the shoe go to EB for authenticity? That was weird!

    • @Chicago48
      @Chicago48 Месяц назад +1

      I had a RETURN to sender from Mercari and the customer never contacted me to say he never got the package. BUT -- MERC paid me anyway. It was a cap. I messaged the customer and he never replied, but I got paid anyway, because Merc only gives customer 3 days to return! LOVE it! Not the 30 days that EB allows.
      I try to stay away from electronics and appliances unless they are NEW in the package. Electronics are the worst -- always high returns. I get hardly NO returns on clothing, that's why it's so easy to sell clothing. But electronics - yikes!

      Hey 👋🏽 thanks for the comment. I do have an eBay store. To be honest with you , I have all the eBay emails go to a separate email, I rarely ever look at it , I have automated sorting of the new emails . So very rarely do I actually read an email that they send 😅😅.
      As far as the crocs go, yes they went to eBay authenticity guarantee. Some location in Las Vegas. And they did not say they were not authentic, they said the condition was very different vs what I listed them as. I’m actually recording an update video where I go a little more in detail after some phone calls, but short version, they go into very deep dive.

    My first sale was a brand new pair of New Balance, $124. They had me send in for authentication, charged customer $15 shipping and took over a week to send out to customer.I noticed other sellers with New Balance over $100 and they don't have authentication. Any thoughts? I don't care much for the process. Sorry about the remote but thank you for sharing. I have a brand new remote that is discontinued and worth upwards of $300. Haven't listed bc im new.

      I don’t think it matters if they are used or new, any shoes over $75 is supposed to go to authentication. Maybe the listed them in the incorrect category? That’s all I can think of. • @cornhuskerpicker7740
      @cornhuskerpicker7740 24 дня назад +1

      Imo if you are going to list something that close to the authenticity program of $75 just do 74.99 start and not 79. At that price point most buyers do not care or even know that it is getting sent to get checked. They don't appreciate the delay. If you must have 79 put in clogs or sandals section, I don't think it will qualify for authenticity program.

You can file a claim, but you need absolute proof they switched it out which is almost impossible. I will say once you are established for a few years with great feedback, and good customer service you can talk with a rep. Depending on the rep you can just be real with them. They can usually tell if someone is bsing.....that along with good reputation they will side with the seller often.
