Cheers for the video. it was exactly the review i was looking for.
Glad I could help
where can I find a tutorial video pls?
Hi ! How different is it to have unmask plugin than using the smarteq4 in a group and the equalization in full dynamic
This will be just part of the pure series, meaning it's easier to setup and use. One way you can think of pure series is it's good if you want to mix more quickly and not have to worry too much about parameters and options. If you like that sort of thing, go for the smart line.
@derekpower exactly.
Hm, but smart:eq puts an eq curve on both signals,so the original signal is shaped and ducks frequencies in the other signal. Pure:unmask does not shape the eq curve of the original signal, or am I missing something here? My point would be, I think that unmask uses a not altered signal to cut frequencies in another signal, but smart equipment needs an eq curve on the original signal and therefor alters it.
@@andreasberndt pure:unmask acts more like a ducker.
With SmartEQ you have the choice for all you mentioned. Rtfm 😑
I already have trackspacer , DSEQ3 , Equalizer , M clarity , Smart eq 3 + 4 and FUSER , i think that's more than enough 😅
Holy MOLY, how many of them do you actually use? Any favorites?
@@NovianLeVanMusic okay so I use DSEQ3 and trackspacer in my pre mixing phase( beat making ) then I use fuser in my final mixing phase . I am facing problems with the two smarteq plugins . The other plugins I have I am thinking of just giving away
Pro Q3 works too
@@easyvelvet77 Just a heads up? Any point of discussion you had was lost in your rambling and exaggerated scenario.
The track you used sounded awesome! Who's the artist and song?
That's what I wanna know, too!
MY MY MY the DUTCH are ALWAYS ahead of the review game!! THANK YOU
haha I was even 5 hours late ^^
They literally have a priority feature in Smart EQ 4 and a Spectral side chain in Smart Comp 2 ...
If you have Smart Comp 2, just use that. It's way better than Track Spacer.
I like sonible, but I tested smart comp's sidechain on a bunch of material and it was similar enough to Trackspacer that I never got a "better" result from either. Smart comp 2 obviously does have more features, even if they're unnecessary if I'm using it strictly as a sidechain ducker, but since I already own it, I'm sticking with Trackspacer.
Now if Wavesfactory could just get with the program and give Trackspacer a Dark Mode...
Is this not the same as Soothe 2?
Essentially yes
Soothe is supposed to deal with resonances and is sometimes thought of as a kind of tone shaper. pure:unmask is supposed to deal with two tracks that interfere with each other in their respective frequencies.
@@DerekPower and you can side chain with soothe also so it’s essentially the same
I dunno, the pumping sounds pretty gnarly....
Oof--42ms latency?!
Seems a lot like Focusrite Reveal, with a few less features. (which is also Sonible AI). Pureunmask is also much cheaper though.
Absolutely.
need mid side mode
TOTALLLLLLY agree! Therefore, one of the reason of using Trackspacer...
Hummmmmm... not convinced at all. To me, Trackspacer rules!
"In challenges we grow". I feel sometime that those "one knob button" might be dedicated to people not realllllly loving doing music or mixing or mastering. Is it so?
Isn't it beautiful to love what we do, and to take time to built this relationship, to take time learning, to take time practicing, even making "mistakes"?
Music is not (just) about making money, getting famous, making it faster, getting more likes, or getting quick result. So why rushing?
But i might be wrong... ... ... "Run Forest Run!"
Trackspacer low key kind of sucks. I can’t get any usable time settings out of it without major artifacts.
@@queenpurple8433 what are you talking about
@@queenpurple8433 User Error. Learn how to adjust the settings instead of bad mouthing the plugin. If you don't know how to adjust attack and release, you're not going to get very far in your mixing.
Agreeing with most of what you said except about trackspacer. Nothing does it better than DSEQ or Soothe. It's night and day. They both do the job the best. The way it's supposed to be done.
@@adithyasatheesh127 Hummmm, those two plugins you speak about seems to mostly "correct" a track's eq, by carving the resonance frequencies according to a reference, like a pink noise, or by killing the vocal sibilance. And they are great for that.
Unmask and trackspacer need a sidechain to work, and they carve the eq of the track you put it on, to let "space" for the incoming sidechain (usually a lead signal, a voice a solo...). They are not use mainly, i think, to correct the EQ , or to get rid of resonances. And... they are great for that! 😍
Isn't Fuser better than this?
Fuser gives you more control and also addresses other potential issues. But this is meant to be a simple and easy to use tool to solve that particular problem.
You don't need track spacer or this One. You can do this with a compressor or /and equalizer
logicamente, mas essa linha "pure" é pra vc fazer as coisas de forma rápida e continuar com sua criatividade sem perder muito tempo, meu amigo tuga
Not the same thing, dynamic EQ or a sidechained compressor won't automatically notch dozens of clashing frequencies - whereas Trackspacer will.
Absolutely not the same thing. There's a place for both styles of ducking, but they're not interchangeable.
Focusrite fast reveal is so much better...
Neutron 4 unmask is better...
Sorry, but I don't think I would have given five dollars for this software (PURE UNMASK = PURE MESS). It's really useless!!!
First, it's not useless, you just don't have a use for it. Second? What is this infatuation people have with making inane quips surrounding a name? "Pure Unmask = Pure Mess"? Come on, guy, that's not even similar. It's like my buddy, drunk AF at the bar, talking about "... Jose Cuervo...? More like Jose NOT-OKAY-THO!!" Painful stupid.
If you simply have no imagination then of course you couldn't think of a use for it, but a lot of comments like this are just very dumb.
A lot of modern electronic music is using complex wavetable synths with tons of modulation. It can be very challenging to keep a constantly evolving bass sound that stretches the entire frequency range from clashing with vocals for instance.
What I understand, I should have as much imagination as you? well... I'm not interested. By the way, why don't you change your nickname to @BlackDiamond. In the circumstances, it would be better for you. Did you not think for a moment that I have a right to my opinion? Don't be stupid, I'm entitled.
LOL - WHAT video production software has Sidechaining to duck the music when you speak? Premiere of course has its own AI and can do it all natively - but just wondering
Any gate with sidechain basically does that.
@@whitenoisestudio JA! - but do they have sidechaining featires like a daw?
Cheers for the video. it was exactly the review i was looking for.
