      Max Hodges you sir are the childish one, the comment wasn't to insult, but was very complimentive. Stop trolling, you just hurt yourself in the end.

    Haunting this soundscape he paints.
    But delivered in the most beautiful possible way.

      noppes , west coast synths ( buchla , make noise, serge etc..) are more about additive synthesis ...adding harmonics by freq.mod etc... ..;and low pass gate filtering ( filtering out , vectrol gate ) ...buchla had 'the complex oscilator etc...

      Ahh ok thanks for the info. I'm definitely a scrub when it comes to all these insane modular guys. Really I wish I knew where to start in learning how to do this kind of stuff. I use ableton and have an alesis andromeda a6 I bought on a whim over 10 years ago hah. Tutorials really haven't done much for helping me learn how to produce electronic stuff that doesn't sound like shit.

      Ward de jager hi, is there something else in the market (no so expensive) that could make addicitve synthesis like buchla?

      Actually, check out this link. This is from his album Sonno which he recorded in his hotel rooms while on tour with NIN. He says he was trying to make music to sleep by as he was having troubles. He recorded this with an old Roland MC-202 and a delay pedal. Even cooler is he talks about how he produces the live show with video in the article as well. reverb.com/news/reverb-interview-nine-inch-nails-alessandro-cortini

      Check out the gear from Make Noise. Cools stuff at a great price.The 0 Coast is a great standalone bit of gear that mimics both East and West coast synthesis. (Buchla v. Moog) www.makenoisemusic.com/synthesizers/ohcoast

      Roland MC 202 and some effects pedals; that's the set up he used to make the album these tracks are from (although he probably has some more gear here for drums). Modest compared to his usual live rig but still sounds beautiful.

    • @Gitaristification
      @Gitaristification 8 лет назад +8

      +AZROF I'm very fond of, for example, psychill or ambient. But if I would come to listen to this sort of music I'd like to have a place to sit on. To feel myself peaceful and relaxed, as u noticed. So I feel sorry for that poor people made to stay without reason.

      +Gleb Ulanov You sir, are a basic bitch

    • @Genghis_Sean_
      @Genghis_Sean_ 8 лет назад +3

      +AZROF A lot of it is uninspired. But then you have some gems coming out of the scene like Trifonic or someone like Grimes. It's just sad in a way that electronic music has become such a fad that there really isn't the same demand for cerebral, intellectualized, and innovative music. Kids at these festivals would listen to legends like Autechre, Coil, Richard Devine, Morton Subotnick, etc and have absolutely no clue what the pioneers were really doing.
