Thanks so much for taking my suggestion! Yes, the subject matter of this song is somewhat dark and haunting, but it does come directly from Ren's lived experience. He endured so much, having lived with misdiagnosed Lyme Disease for many years and the havoc it wreaked on his body and brain before the true cause was discovered. While I still stand by my Smokey Robinson opinion, Al Green is also a really similar vocal tone! I really enjoy your reactions and can't wait until the next one! Cheers from Canada!

Ren’s latest release, Troubles, directly addresses his health story and he also did a series of 8 “Chapters” telling his story in detail on his other RUclips channel @renmakesstuff. Even if you don’t react to the Chapters, it’s a worthwhile and emotional watch.❤️

Thank you for this. It is rare in today's music that artist do live one takes in a small space, much less a duet. It is raw and every mistake is amplified and one mistake means to start over. Obviously Ren allows tiny unnoticeable (to the audience) mistakes to go through but his and Chinchillas talent is huge. Playing on the street for years honed his live skills.

If you do the tales of Jenny and screech make sure you do the full version trilogy Jenny screech and finally violet's tale in that order otherwise it won't make sense 13:30 minutes of 🧠💥 this one is a bit more story driven but totally amazing fantastic reaction looking forward to the next 😊✌️

What I really enjoy about Ren and Chinchilla's colabs is that you usually find when a male vocalist and a female vocalist collaborate the female usually over powers the male... With these 2 they suit each other so we'll and don't out do one another.

Great reaction! Ren picks a lot of odd spaces to film in strictly for their acoustics (there an parking garage interior in Brighton he's very fond of). As for Chinchilla, she's like a nightingale crossed with a howitzer. If you want to hear some amazing vocal gymnastics, try her track FINGERS LIVE FOR HUNGER TV. One of the most astonishing vocal performances I've ever heard!
With regard to the acoustics I totally agree Ren seems to like ambient music and seems to keep the tec down to a minimum. Thanks for watching and commenting.
