Kongu region is basically a pre nationalist region. That is why it was a AIADMK bastion. DMK had a chance once in a while, only when people wanted to punish AiADMK. If you look at any survey question related to central government and its schemes, there is a constant percentage of about 40% to 45% in BJP's favour. Understanding the fact that not all those responses will turn into votes - considering a half of that will only vote for BJP, my math is that BJP vote share would be easily around 25% to 30% without any alliance. Anything like DMDK would be a boost of about 2 to 3 % extra. Worst case 20%.
This time it is BJP..and nothing else in TN..days over for Dravidian parties..

I can see some personal concerns on Sumanth's speech, basically, he was a sports anchor and he wasn't able to sell his mouth, now started to play as DMK mouthpiece. Sumant Raman said AIADMK was thrown out from NDA by BJP. DMK spokesperson says AIADMK came out of NDA due to negative opinion of TN public towards Modi. But the AIADMK spokesperson didn't support or condemn any of these statements. Which one is correct? But the feeling one gets is AIADMK is not comfortable with raise of Annamalai and BJP and wants BJP to be a very small partner in the alliance at State level, which is not a fact as it appears, so AIADMK breaks its alliance with BJP. Who will be the loser we will be knowing only after May elections.
1. BJP is growing in TN slowly and steadily due to young leadership like Annamalai. Once Annamalai steps down or leaves Chennai for Delhi, BJP will then be declining as usual.
2. BJP may improve its vote share but it will not capture the power till 2030 or beyhond until / unless the voting machines are captured by BJP. Once Modi in Delhi and Annamalai in TN retire, BJP will be a thing of past in TN. Those TN leaders in BJP are not ideology driven but opportunities since other two Kazhagams are highly processed, these new leaders cannot get a plum role, so they all side with BJP in TN, which cannot fly for long.
3. The day BJP captures the voting machines and come to power in TN as they do in other States, then the BJP's entire success story will be wiped out because capturing TN through backdoor is like catching a Tiger's tail in sleep. BJP will not do it for sure.
4. BJP must understand one thing is that DMK's booth network system is the strongest for any political parties in India; credits to MK who did politics for 75 years non-stop.
5. Udhayanidhi 30% (due to booth power), Annamalai 15% (due to a common man stature), Seeman 15% (due to the Tamil cause and cinema craze), Joseph Vijay 10% (Cinema), Others 30% (including NOTAs and Absentees). This is how the TN vote share will swing in the next 25 years.
Rajavel Nagarajan knows the ground reality very well as he is associated with the yatra. So you can vouch him for his opinion.

There is TTV, OPS faction and not united.
In this election, we only have 2 types of votes: "Pro-Modi" and "Anti-Modi" votes. With ADMK going out of the alliance, ADMK, DMK and NTK will split the Anti-Modi votes. Pro-Modi votes will go into Annamalai's fold. None of the political analysts are able to read this important point. In this election, there is a huge increase in "pro-Modi" votes to about 30% approx. due to the superstardom of Mr. Annamalai and PM Modi's schemes, and hence it will be a huge gainer for BJP. This is actually a low point for DMK because their traditional votes are getting split up more. None of the experienced analysts understand this point. But DMK understand this very clearly - thats why Udayanidhi played it down saying it is "utkatchi poosal". None of the political analysts including Mr. Pandey understood this clearly. Take it from me in writing, all political analysts, BJP is sure to gain in this election - not sure how many seats, they will win but they will garner a huge vote share.

I understand a simple calculation, bjp's vote share in Tamil Nadu currently is 3.6% , now if it doubles it becomes 7.2%, and if it triples it would be 10.8%, so is that enough to get at least a single seat ?

The way he handles his own party people , Press ect never speaks politely amicably, cordially always shouts, fights, argues talks irrelevant, sub standardly . There are many deficiency, faults, mistake on any government , instead of decently pinpointing and draw the attention of public about the issues / topic, most of the time he will make personal attacks , disrespectfully, irrelevently.
