Fieldsports Britain - Tim's fabulous driven hunt

- Tim Pilbeam has never seen so many shootable animals. He goes on an Aimpoint driven game hunt in Sweden, where herds of fallow and great sounders of boar go crashing past him - and it is his job to shoot them with his rifle mounted with an Aimpoint sight. He has a wonderful time.
Back in the UK, after weeks when Devon & Cornwall shooters have had their guns seized by armed police, often calling during darkness, a shooter is brave enough to say no to officers on his doorstep, and refuse to let them in. We talk to Chris Hart about how and why he did that. Very good the Swedish driven hunt segment. Sweden is a wonderfull and one of the best in Europe regarding hunting country.
Another great show again guys,Tim was certainly spoiled for choice with the driven hunt.Good on Chris for standing up for his rights.Certainly one of the worst kneejerk reactions I have seen to a firearm related incident.
Another great episode Charlie. I have recently become a Range Officer/Instructor at my Uni where I work. We have a .22 range and I have also joined a 2nd club in central London. I've yet to apply for my FAC...with all the news of the police trying to crack down on us (shooters)...its kinda off-putting. But I doubt it will actually change my mind though. Rob.

Charlie your report and interview with Chris Hart was one of the best bits I have seen on FSB (and I have watched as you know for quite awhile). Chris's dignity and calm under extraordinary pressure was both humbling and uplifting. I hope BASC manage to meet with the Devon & Cornwall PCC soon and that their FOI requests are met, although I expect they will be rejected. My experience (particularly with the BBC) is appealing FOI rejections is worthwhile as they are often overturned or as with the BBC they send you multiple copies of the same document but with different bits redacted.

great show
if its lead free barrel it implies a specific twist rate. Bullets not made from lead are longer for the length for a given wait so twist requirements differ.

I've twice stood on a jogging track with a shotgun in Sweden in two different areas as well.
Great show Thank you. I am afraid that the problems your shooters have with firearm seizures is soon coming to us here in Canada. If the police do not have a warrant don't allow them in.
once while on elk hunt in Sweden I was put on a stand on the side of a road . That night I had a dreamt that I shot the biggest elk Sweden and around the corner came a big Volvo truck running over. I awoke in a real sweat

Nice video But you should never take the leading hind or any hind that has got a calv with her for that matter ! I know the UK Hunters dont take it seriously but thats just unethical!!!
If Devon and Cornwall fall, then so will every other region one by one and gun ownership in the UK will be a thing of the past!
I was talking to someone who had a connection with the Plymouth shooter/murderer, they said he should never have had a license and was "trouble & troubled" from an early age. How he got them back after confiscation is beyond me.

This is making me think it's going to be unlikely that I will get a shotgun licence even approved in the first place by D&C police.

Hounds are hunting the deer and boar.
@@alfiefiltnessdavies8113correct dogs hounds spaniels etc as in any driven shooting, we do not hunt them, we shoot them! we will be using silencers next in the next use of in correct terms
@@paulharrison6417 They are seeking wild game with hounds and driving them to guns. As seen in Scotland with foxhound packs. It is hunting. Shooting is separate field sport based on reared game.
@@paulharrison6417 We do not use any spaniels in this type of hunt.
The hounds used in this film is mostly "wachtel" or crossbreeds between wachtel and gråhund (a type elk dog).
