You got my attention as soon as you said friendly-ish, could not agree more. I dealt with so many people who spoke english but purposely refuse to speak it. Excited for you to learn some french. I am always so excited when i see people of color, i make sure to give them an extra wide smile.....Visit Lyon while you are there. They have the BEST FOOD!!!! Also try Côtes du Rhône next time you are by the liquor store- its my favorite... P.S.we heard that!!!! haha
Allthingspeny I will try to go there!!! And I’ll def buy that wine when I go to the store. A lot of my teammates didn’t speak at first (Except Awa) but now they do a much better job and talk in English sometimes! It makes my time being here not as hard sometimes
aaaah!!!! omg Im seeing this right nowwww!!! God bless you S, Im glad that all is well!! Thanks for posting this💕💕 haha! Life is so good - Im glad youre still wearing that big beautiful smile. Much love. Chey
@@omobolafolarincoker5726 to be honest I’m not very sure. I think some research online would give you the best info but I know you will have to stay away from major cities. Smaller ones will usually have better prices!
Unfortunately I stopped studying. I wish I kept at it but I didn’t see a purpose to learning French anymore. But if it’s a place you plan to move to. You’ll have much more determination to learn than myself! If you know anyone that speaks French that would be very helpful for you to speak with them often to practice
Listening to music and speaking with children/ locals helped me a lot! OMG yes for black people I thought I was going to make a friend😂😂 they don’t want any parts!
Thank you!! I started listening to music and going hard on the Duolingo! I also found a show on Netflix that I like that I watch on repeat with subtitles!
Hey Je viens de voir ta vidéo, tu as totalement raison sur la vie en France j’espère que tu vas bien. You should visit some big city like Bordeaux, and Paris le quartier de Chatelet could be interesting to visit for you. Sorry for my english.
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! I would love to go to Bordeaux! That was one of the cities I really wanted to visit while I was in France I just didn’t get the chance. I did see Paris, I’m not a big fan. But when I got back to France, Bordeaux will for sure be on my list of places to go!
@@homerefinery1877 I wanted to go to Lyon my friend told me about a crazy party they have in June or July. We were supposed to go but covid happened unfortunately.
Girl, where you finding all these Black people in France? Let me know so I can move LOL I saw so many when I lived in Paris but I SWEAR I'm the only Black person in my town in the South of France haha
Lol I was in Caen! It’s in the region of Normandy if I remember correctly. My city wasn’t small that’s why I think there were more black people! I know the smaller cities are less diverse. I saw a lot of black people in Paris when I went to visit, but I’m not a big fan of Paris it was too crowded for me!
You got to remember they have there own language and it’s not english so everyone doesn’t speak English and there is no reason why they should, just like Americans only speak A version of English and don’t speak anything else, most Americans don’t even want to speak Spanish and that’s well spoken in the America’s, As the saying goes when in France that’s what it is 😉
I understand that not everyone speaks English which is why I do my best to learn some of the language from whatever country I’m in. I am speaking from my own experience where people that I knew spoke English or later found out they spoke English purposely didn’t speak to me even with my trying to speak French terribly. That’s all I’m saying
Who goes to another country and complains about the lack of english being spoken or lack of black people there? (As if that even matters anyway). You go to another country to embrace it's culture not try and change it. That's like going to Japan and complaining that there aren't enough Brazilians there. Stupid logic.
Not once did I say I expect people to speak English. I’m not arrogant I’m talking about my experience. Rufus no ones making watch my videos or comment on my channel but thanks for the support!

Many people are shy and embarrassed to speak English just because they think their accent is crap .

Read more french books for kids and watch the news. Helps a lot with learning the language.
Thank you for the tip!
Soo much positivity here. Just subscribed 🤗 planning on moving soon from Nigeria

Most of the african people in France settled after 1980 ! legally and...illegally. Carribean people came from the French indies, in 1963 and after.
You’ll see us in Paris, Ile-de-France etc...
Exactly! I was in Nice and was unsuccessfully searching!!! Maybe next time Imma hold up a sign ...”where my people at?!?!?!”
