Replacing subfloors is an absolute NIGHTMARE. So happy to be done. OMGosh, I'd rather do just anything else than that!! TY for showing us the way Mr. Drew - you're real good people
Husband and I are purchasing a manufacturer home, with soft flooring from a leak. I Hope that we can find someone as conscientious as you are..thanks for sharing, so we can be smart when choosing someone to do repairs.
Can you recommend any alternatives to fiberglass for a mobile subfloor in florida, such as foam board, etc? also, what would be the min R value you would choose? thanks
To be honest with you I don’t think there’s anything that you can get R 19 from. so I’m thinking you have to use fiberglass insulation for the floor R19 is minimum
Mobile Home under limit sheets for the plywood for the floor comes in 4‘13‘ wide so they don’t have any seams so what they do is they notch the floor joist and they put a one by four down and then they make the plywood break on the one by four so they don’t have to use blocking why they do that I don’t know but The way they do it so we remove it and do it the right way
only time id say to go over rotted floor is if your just trying to get buy few years or less to you get i new place or a home done your building i just spent 4 days prying a floor off a floor in a mobile home then removing first floor to start over new because last guy went over old floor never fixed leaks so both rotted along with alot of other stuff
Our laundry room had 6 layers! Original particle board Original linoleum Indoor outdoor carpet Plywood (yes, over the carpet) Luan “New” linoleum I could not believe what a mess it was.
We built mobile homes , framed the floor put the under sheets on then used the crane to flip the entire floor system . The way we built them they weren’t made to be repaired .
Drew, people who are on social security can not afford to hire someone for 10,000 to redo a floor or a roof. I wish I did. I put 3/4 inch ply wood on top of my existing floor. I only had help for the weekend about 5-6 hours a day. Then that was it. It was 1000.00 for the plywood.
cannot understand a thing the younger guy is saying. sounds like he is speaking in a foreign language or cajun. I turned the sound up and still don't understand him. I hear you just fine ??

How do you get black mold out of a bathroom?
Bleach If it’s surface, mold, mix, one cup of bleach, 2 cups of water, three or four drops of soap, shake it up, spray it on.
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Thank you!
What happened to the video to a finish bathroom?

Would you come to Greenville South Carolina?
We have so much work here. Wish I could
why didn't they just do blocking along the wall? Why the notch in the joist? is it because they didn't want to add too much weight?

The top flooring is oak. It’s moisture stains

Are you happy with the way it turned out
If the waterlines are gray they are expired and should be replaced with pex and could be the original cause of the water damage.
I agree
How much you charge for a small job like this ? If I may ask rough estimate
For the bedroom I charged 500
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair haha someone tried to charge me $2000 for a similar repair. Needless to say I did it myself.
If it’s made of wood you can fix it. I did the bathroom, hall and bedroom for 1500
It shouldn't make a difference whether you do a room, part of the floor or whole floor. It should be the same price.
cannot understand a thing the younger guy is saying. sounds like he is speaking in a foreign language or cajun. I turned the sound up and still don't understand him. I hear you just fine ??
