Hi Anthony. Now picking lots of Zucchini. Just started picking Cucumber. Still no tomatoes yet but I love watching the Black Russian Tomatoes grow. They are such a large tomato. They taste amazing and have great structure. One slice would cover an entire hamburger roll. Watching my butternut pumpkins too. So weird how some come through and others just go yellow and fall off. Now picking Blueberries too. Sorry you have to have fruit fly problems. I can't buy tomatoes from the shop since I started growing them myself so I let them continue producing until there is nothing left of the plant. (usually mid to late May) Have a great week mate.
Anthony, you continue to inspire me. Since I started watching your channel, my own quite large veggie garden has been so productive that I can share produce with neighbours and friends. Following your vegetable variety choice, and your sowing and transplanting timetable has been particularly useful. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching mate, I'm glad to hear you've had such success! I am happy to share with you all that works in my patch and hope you can continue to replicate in yours👍
Nice harvest!! Would like to see a full garden harvest with everything together one day mate!! I am also happy to report that I now have a cherry tomato has now gone red!! So I might have a little harvest one day soon!! Hah hah!! LOL!!
It’s great once the tomatoes start ripening! I have been thinking of keeping a weekly or monthly harvest tally. Might have to start doing it from now on
Easily my favourite gardening channel. What do you use to control black spots on tomato leaves? Copper or wet table sulphur? The weather in melb has been crazy humid and wet. Cheers
Thanks appreciate the kind words. The copper and sulfur sprays work but they work better as a preventative. I would try to prune of the damaged leaves and start spraying with both mixes every 2 weeks. I would also add some chicken manure pellets to encourage new leaf growth. The sprays will stop the spread onto the new leaves
Awesome vlog, glad to hear you’re getting your tomatoes too. Mine have gone crazy, ten plus every other day. Have you ever grown “ sun gold” tiny tomato, it’s a yellow/gold color oh it’s amazing, so sweet the sweetest I’ve ever grown.
Looking good! And great reminder to get the next round of crops started. Im getting a second round of cucumbers going, the first variety thats fruiting isnt very nice. Ill be sticking with labanese types only from now on. Ive never thought of doing a second round of tomatoes though. I usually just wait for them to bounce back in autumn. The hundred or so pumpkin seeds that I planted because they werent germinating, all seem to have come up too 😂😅 its exciting, but a bit of a bummer because I planted my corn there when nothing happened. Corn is growing, but hidden under pumpkin leaves. Hopefully they can take off and get up above the vines 😂
Yeah I am going to try to get some in the ground end December the current crop is falling away fast and need to get started if I am going to make it before autumn. Starting to think about starting broccoli soon again 😀
Hi Anthony, love your video. How is the weather down there? We have had a bad time with continual rain and high humidity, today has been the first day I have been able to get out into the garden. Jacqui
hey mate another great video, quick question i just put in some cucumber seedlings and theyve gone into shock anything youd reccomend have tried a bit of epsom salts
Hey mate give them a bit of shade and a feed of liquid fertiliser now I use power feed. They may have some thrips or other sap sucking insects hitting them have a look and see if you can see anything also if it’s not to hot a spray of pyrethrum will hold the pest at bay while they settle in. Send me a photo on Instagram if you can so I can see how they look
Wonderful harvest
Great job man , I love how organised you are . May you be blessed with an abundance of crops for the family. ❤
Appreciate it, thanks for watching. 👍

I have grown sun gold one year but I didn’t like them personally they didn’t live up to the hype I found. Glad you had better success with them

@sydneybackyardveggies9612 omg 😆 really!? Lol I'm out of room for thinking about broccoli right now.
Where are you located? I’m at Caloundra, sunshine coast. The rain and heat and humidity is just a nightmare to grow anything right now 😞
I'm on the island 😉 the humidity has been terrible. And all the rain
I’m in Sydney so the humidity has just started hitting us now and got our first rains this week in a while
You’re tomatoes are so big it’s going to be a good harvest
Thanks mate I’m fast running out of space on my kitchen table need to start making sauces this weekend

It’s been really hot and humid! The weeds have exploded and it’s hard work being out in the garden. Weather change just in time for summer!

Are you sure it’s the wind knocking over the sweetcorn and not some kind of cutworm?
You know what I’m going to have to check that out especially for the smaller seedlings it might be insect damage. Thanks for that 👍
