Dagger, the spray glue you are using is basically contact cement(Contact adhesive). More than strong enough for model building, but you need to spray both sides and leave it to dry for a bit(Once dry, it wont feel sticky to the touch but adhere to it self exceptionally well) before you glue the pieces together. Once you done that it will stick together forever, more or less. it is exceptionally strong.
Hey Daggerwin. Next time I'm gonna see my grandad I'm gonna show him this video (he has been building on his model train for a few years) I think I'm gonna tweet feedback at you if he has some 😀
Dan 223 ATM he's working on making hills and other sceneries the problem is just he has to order everything online since the model shop in his city closed 3 years ago...and postnord has the worst service so it's prob gonna take him a year or 2 more
use some sandpaper and sand down the front edge to make a litle ramp on the silage pit! ive done it to my model and it works perfectly. really enjoyed the video, keep them coming!
Maybe use acrylic paint to blend different road types. Consider also not cutting the hedge but putting the gate in between two pieces to reduce gaps between hedge pieces. I would also love to see some weathering on the roof and sides of the shed.
Probably could do with some vintage tractors like Massey Ferguson 595 and Ford 6600 in the shed. Also work bench, tool chest, spare tyres and various tractor bits to add authenticity! Static tufts look great too.
For the area where the road and farm yard meet I'd scrape off some of the gravel material from scrap pieces and sort of mix the two together and glue that down on your seam
for the inside you could see about getting a couple white or clear led strips which you can cut to size for the lights, as it kind of looks a bit dark in there could though just be from viewing it but anyway keep up the great work loving this series so far despite only 3 episodes so far lol
Please upload more of these videos and in the corner of a field you should have a rotten bale that has just been left there, cover it with some foliage but not to much so you can see it a little bit.
Hello Daggwin me and my brother used to help clear up arfter our village firework party 🎉 and we made post and rail fencing out of the firework sticks that we found and the rails where the small green garden cane. I can not remember the diameter of the firework sticks or the wooden garden cane but when thay was made thay looked smart.
If you want to make a grain silo for your farm, Clay pigeons are good because thay can stack on top of each other, that is if you can get your hands on sum. Thay come in different sizes but the bigger ones are better and you can mack it as tall as you want. If you have a whole one bottom and top then carefully knock out the center's of all the middle ones and you will be left with a ring. stick them together apart from the top one which is your lid then you can pot grain in side of if .
Darragh Walsh sanding would take ages but ( I forgot the name of the tool) I think it's called a plain would be quick than finish with sand paper. It would mean taking the pit apart probably.
Darragh Walsh that’s a good idea but I think it would be more effective to use a soft file first and then use sanding paper, otherwise it will take a long time
Daggerwin. You can always try and make some things for the model farm yourself. Like bales etc. There is some videos on RUclips that shows you how to do it.
Looking at the yard / track difference, roof felt sprang into my mind lay some roof felt down then you could cut your tracks / yard area out and make it more curved and blend in a little better instated of squares, then spray your glue and sprinkle your grass down to do your edges if you know what I mean just an idea keep up the good work 🤗
I know it sounds silly dagger but it’s a good idea to go to a model railway exhibition and ask the men and people how they made the layouts AND WHAT MATERIALS THEY USED!
Dagger i love your videos, and a suggestion from me would be to do stop motion clips ( of farm work with the toy models) when you have finished all the setting up, i feel it will enhance the videos. Keep it up!!!
Hey man, just as a suggestion I make models of grass scenes all the time and the way I do it it using an electrified siv you can buy them on the internet but all they do is electrify the strands of grass so they stand upright hope you look into this method, good luck ;)
that spray adhesive is supposed to be applied to both surfaces and allowed to go tacky before you push them together. for the road why dont you see if you can get some off cuts or cheap roofing felt for any other gravel roads your going to be making, then you could cut it to any shape you wanted and paint it with spray paint any colour you wanted to
And i think you should make a bigger yard becuase if you buy a trailer, it is very hard to drive it out of the shed. And another tip is please edit a camera angle at the end of the video so we can see it from above, than you can really appreciate what you have done that episode
Hy daggerwin! I have a way to make a mudpool what I have used on my own dioramas. I also have got a facebookpage who is called LT-models. The things you need to make a mudpool are: -woodglue -Coffee or small pebbles -some brown spraypaint -some clearcoat First you add the woodglue to the place where you want the mudpool. Than you add some coffee or pebbles(or both of them) to the glue. You could also use an old tractor tire to add some tracs to the 'mud'. Then you put some brome spaypaint on it that will give the best effect. Then you can put some clearcoat on it to give it a wet effect I hope i helped you by this kind of a tutorial. My englisch isn't very good but I hope you did know what I mean. I also watch your farming simulator videos every day this helps me with my englisch gramatica for school. Greatings from the netherlands! Luc Timmers
Ever consider weathering powders you clan buy them at model shops for like tarmac and mud details they have black brown and sand mud have a look at Carrs powders they do a green colors
Daggerwin you also can use wood glue, at least if the material what you are using have a paper underside, i used wood-glue on my train track, long ago, but it will help. i do not no if the glue you use is also for a wood underground.
Is this a bad time to say I think your silage pit and barn are a bit close to the hedge? Looks like you're gonna have trouble maneuvering in there... Just my opinion.
Try go for like a old run down farm like barreled stones and stuff lying down in the conner of the sheds and I think it willall be quit cool like if you agree
Maybe you should sand the end of the silage put to make it more of an angle for a rampish feel or look
I’m realy glad you started to do a model farm maybe weather some tractors and a sheep farm
Dagger, the spray glue you are using is basically contact cement(Contact adhesive). Hey Daggerwin. Next time I'm gonna see my grandad I'm gonna show him this video (he has been building on his model train for a few years) I think I'm gonna tweet feedback at you if he has some 😀
I have been building a model railway for years but I’m struggling with scenery ;)

Love this series!! Love your videos. They're awesome!!!👍👍👍😀😀
The britins model sheds are very realistic and i feel would be a great addition to your model farm

Love your farm daggerwin

daggerwin please make longer videos because I enjoy watching them! also, I am making a model farm too! (not on RUclips!)
Please upload more of these videos and in the corner of a field you should have a rotten bale that has just been left there, cover it with some foliage but not to much so you can see it a little bit.
I love your vids
You should make modelling clay ramps up from the rad into the shed to disguise the drop

buy a silage pit with cover and tyres also get small stones to put places to make it look realistic
U should sand down the front of silage pit to make it easyier to get up

Yet another great video from the greatest youtuber around.
Keep it up dagger :)
I do model farming too. Tip: for the scenery you would like to get it from holly loves toys (HLT) becsudr they have amazing scenery
Finally! Thanks dagger
This is a great series
I really like the scatter
Daggerwin. You can always try and make some things for the model farm yourself. Like bales etc. There is some videos on RUclips that shows you how to do it.
You can tell the commentary is voice over. I'm not complaining
Love this series
I've got a few brushwood stuff. They're really good
Looking at the yard / track difference, roof felt sprang into my mind lay some roof felt down then you could cut your tracks / yard area out and make it more curved and blend in a little better instated of squares, then spray your glue and sprinkle your grass down to do your edges if you know what I mean just an idea keep up the good work 🤗

Yes yes yes this is amazing
Realism is key 👌
Dagger i love your videos, and a suggestion from me would be to do stop motion clips ( of farm work with the toy models) when you have finished all the setting up, i feel it will enhance the videos. Keep it up!!!
Put a double gate opposite the silage pit so if you were tipping into the pit you have room to reverse 👍👍
Hey man, just as a suggestion I make models of grass scenes all the time and the way I do it it using an electrified siv you can buy them on the internet but all they do is electrify the strands of grass so they stand upright hope you look into this method, good luck ;)
Maybe buy a combine, mower, forage harvester, some tools. just some ideas

For putting that scatter on, don't use spray adhesive. Its best to use neat PVA glue applied with a paintbrush.
BRING THIS BACK PLEASE
Carefully sand the clamp entry for a good permanent fix
And i think you should make a bigger yard becuase if you buy a trailer, it is very hard to drive it out of the shed. And another tip is please edit a camera angle at the end of the video so we can see it from above, than you can really appreciate what you have done that episode
Thank you for new video
You could use a rc tractor, mow the field, windrow it, and make silage

I do model farm videos too I like the farm so far
Ever consider weathering powders you clan buy them at model shops for like tarmac and mud details they have black brown and sand mud have a look at Carrs powders they do a green colors
