    The story by lady_stoneheart is a repost. I covered it in an earlier video. MY BAD! Poor organization on my part.

      "Boys will be boys" is only a valid defense when accidents from rougher play happens. Sexually assaulting a girl is NOT a 'Boys will be boys' defense. I remember another story where a mom got called from her job as a nurse because daughter punched a kid in the nose, when the teacher wouldn't take action on the other kid unfastening daughter's bra. Mom laid down the law, and OP's parents need to be like HER. JFC...

    If I was the dad in the last story, I'd tell the mom:
    "Yeah that's how the world works, it's called self-defense. Maybe in the future, you can teach your son to respect women. I'm living proof you don't need to assault women to get laid."

    In the last story, OP's parents only proved how worthless they are. Calling them "parents" is a stretch anyway. They don't care about her or her safety, which also means they don't love her at all. That's mental child abuse.

      @@joshk3273 that wasn't bullying, that was sexual harassments and assault. The response to being assaulted [sexual or otherwise] is to defend yourself anyway you can. She defended herself. I'd have done the same if I was a little girl. And my parents would've berated the mother not apologize. In fact, he'd probably threaten the mother if it happened again he'd call the police.
      "Boys will be boys" "They're just kids" are all bs excuses. TEACH people to respect other people's personal space. You learn to keep your hands to yourself in kindergarten. If a boy doesn't learn that, then it is a complete failing of their parents for not teaching them to be a better person.

      Honestly, it's true, the harrasment was self-inflicted, women nowadays tend to wear revealing or tight-fitting clothing paired with lipstick to make themselves look "beautiful" which means "sexy".
      Who knew dressing sexy would result in getting sexually harassed and eventually assaulted?
      While it's true that the boy should have exercised more self-control, there is stuff the daughter could have done to prevent the situation from happening while still looking nice.

      Jokes aside, the truth is that people sometimes think like that, we may be complicated, highly intelligent creatures but underneath, we are still animals with animal-like tendencies, we have merely been domesticated as a race. "Complexitivity" has no bearing on this aspect of who we are as a species.
      We haven't tamed our sexual attractions, they have just shifted to other sources like porn and stuff like that.
      If you dress sexy, then you get just that, sex, which comes in a variety of forms from cat-calling to downright rape.
      The way you dress in public says a lot more about you then you intend.
      We are animals, not emotionaless robots.

    Imagine someone trying to steal your dog, in a way, that is like stealing somebody’s phone when you don’t know the password, dogs don’t exactly work with morons who steal them. I have a rescue who was a puppy mill mom. She would hate being stolen so much.

    Oooo... That last one just got ALL under my skin! When my wife & I met I taught her some basic self defense because her family had the same attitude that OP's parents had. While my wife has never had a reason to use any of it. Not so true of the girls we've raised. I was SO proud that my niece kept an ***hole on the ground long enough for the cops to get there and haul him away for doing what this kid did except he tried for a handful of her... He got it! Just not in the way I'm sure he pictured it. Oh, and my wife... She is the sweetest gal I've ever met, but she can go from that to bada** in a heartbeat whenever she needs to.

    The last one with the parents taking the side of the boy putting his hands up their daughter's skirt..the young girls should have said well I am going to the police and see what they have to say and if they agree with you that I should have let him be a boy so to speak!! I bet the parents would change their tune real fast..Probably graduates of Liberty University and fans of Jerry Falwell's son who was just exposed for his wife's and his sexual escapades!!

    When my sister was a minor she was being harassed by a male coworker. My dad found out and called up her job. At first they tried to downplay it and he responded “I am on my way there right now. You can fire him or you better call the cops because if he is still there I will be making sure he NEVER touches her again.” He was immediately fired.

    Sometimes I'm terrified to walk my dog because of the thought of things like this happening. He's super friendly, love everyone, and everyone who sees him always comments on how adorable he is. Sometimes I think about how they wouldn't bother if they knew how expensive his health issues were, but then I just worry more that if someone ever did take him, they would never even bother to take care of him properly and he would get seriously sick.

    That last story.. damn if I was op's dad (first I would never say ignore him) I would have been praising her for defending herself and would have said let go to store, ill get whatever you want. (I don't see it as rewarding violence, I see it as rewarding self defense) You never let a boy do that to you especially if you exhausted all your means to try and solve it as peacefully as possible. I would be proud just to know that my daughter can defend herself.

    That last one mad me so angry; I was raised by a father who made it blatantly clear to me that if someone put their hands on me I was well within my right to defend myself, and the fact that this girl was told that 1) it was her fault she was assaulted, and 2) that she should have ignored it; makes me so furious. No man has a right to put his hands on a girl just because I wants too.
