I remember the footage of AK interviewing Charlamagne, back when AK was a "nobody." I paused it at 2:08 to see him sitting across from Charlamagne---as his own boss. He did that in less than 10 years. Das deadass inspirational. Happy for him.
Glad to see the grasshopper sit down with the grandmaster to get and give understanding. Everybody shouldn’t aim to be a rapper that man retired his mom with being a public speaker in his own lane. What we need more of is the elders schooling the youth on how to carry the torch. Building our culture by us for us should be the main narrative we can make money and a career off each other in a respectful manner.
Ak has become a master troller. People don’t realize this is a new (Trade) , a legit possible lucrative career. It’s obvious now. I easily predicted this promo run he’s about to go on. Create controversy and then go pick your multiple bags up. Easy
Creating his own lane after been mentored by Charla? Ak literally have been creating content about as long as the breakfast club been on air. Ak has garnered billions of views on youtube. The breakfast club became global when they start posting on youtube. AK was already a star on youtube by that time. People try to down play AK because they wasn't up on his content a decade ago. I love akademiks and the whole the breakfast club. In my opinion the breakfast club is at the top of the interview scene and they are a radio show too!
A lot of the pioneers and legends didn't make much money off of the culture because there wasn't a market for it yet, the embroytic stages of hiphop had to be tough for many artists trying to get their music played at the same time not get jerked around by these record label exectives . Not to mention people find it hard to believe, but 30 years ago many executives in those label offices and radio stations thought that hiphop would be a fad just like disco and eventually fade away.

I remember the footage of AK interviewing Charlamagne, back when AK was a "nobody."
I paused it at 2:08 to see him sitting across from Charlamagne---as his own boss.

People should do whatever their passionate about. Simple as that man.
Ak has become a master troller. People don’t realize this is a new (Trade) , a legit possible lucrative career. It’s obvious now. I easily predicted this promo run he’s about to go on. Create controversy and then go pick your multiple bags up. Easy

But then why are new artists in 2022 still signing slave contracts with record labels that are the same as 30 years ago
