I love seeing people from other states come to Wisconsin and love our food. You hit it on the button with that one. I come here for cheese curds, beer and brats.
Oh man the first thing I thought of when you got cheese curds at Camino was "NO!! GO TO LAKEFRONT BREWERY!" Then the next place was Lakefront Brewery. Do yourself a favor, next time you are here defiantly get the cheese curds from Lakefront Brewery, easily some of the best in the whole state!! The tour is killer as well.
My auntie lives in Wisconsin, she moved in the late 90’s. I’ve been 6/7 times as a young child and then young adult to now, and the thing I always remember and we always go to is Kopp’s and I never see anyone say anything about it, and you literally go to the one 10 mins from my Auntie!
I’m born & raised in Milwaukee and Kopp’s was one of the places we went frequently both for their delicious cheeseburgers and their incredible frozen custard.❤
Kopps consistently places in the Top 50 Best Burger in America. However, their custard is also very good. I recommend trying both when possible, neither will disappoint.
Milwaukee food tour, in my opinion: pork shank at Mader's fish fry at Packing House (also the banana cream pie) ice cream (frozen custard) at Leon's ponza rotta at Jimmy's Grotto in Waukesha Maria's pizza on 51st and Forest Home Corned beef or reuben sandwich at McBob's on North Ave. "better butter burger" at Hooligan's pastry at these 4 bakeries Simma's, Grebe's, National Bakery, Sciortino's burger at Oscar's on Pierce malt or shake at Mazo's (across the street from Leon's)
What a cool review of your trip. Tell Adam, there are times he's filming that looks like he's in a food coma--but i thinknit was just the angle of the camera. Just saw your channel for the first time and going to check out your Road to Hana upload. Last, I don't drink often, but dang did I want beer after watching you guys. Thanks and safe travels along with expandable waists!
I'm a Milwaukee local. Here are my thoughts: Mader's is a cool place to visit, but I certainly wouldn't put it on my list of restaurant recommendations. They've kind of fallen off. There are better German food options, like the Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale, or the Old German Beer Hall just a few doors down from Mader's. Please tell me that was marinara. Please tell me you did not just dip your cheese curd in ketchup. Lakefront rocks! They have probably the best brewery tour in the city, and one of the best patio bars on the Riverwalk too. I can't eat custard, but Kopp's is always where I take people who are visiting from out of town. I've heard Leon's is better, but Kopp's is a solid option for sure. Can't go to Milwaukee without visiting a biergarten! Estabrook is my all time favorite park in the city too. We're currently in a heat advisory with a real feel of over 100. My beer is not staying cold unfortunately. The Miltown brat is my favorite! Great choice! Also it's pronounced "Yannis".
I tell people who come to visit. When you cross the state line two things happen automatically. One, your cholesterol level goes up. Next, your blood alcohol level goes up too. Prost! 🍻
Long before Ted Lasso, The Allen-Bradley clock tower was seen weekly and nationwide because of the show Laverne & Shirley. **Update** I was wrong. I always thought it was the AB Clock Tower. Thank You @JohnStrandt for pointing out my error. Am I the only one who thought it was the AB Clock or is this a Mandela Effect?
I absolutely love Milwaukee I've been to maters several times and love your city. I'm so sorry that you have to have Trump call you a horrible City because you're not a horrible City. The only thing horrible is Trump
Wrong Reubens originated in New York City from German immigrants I work as a line cook at Buck Bradley's and have eaten at over 658 restraunts in Milwaukee WI
Full disclosure, Adam was slightly hungover at the start of this video, but hey, it’s Wisconsin, beer goes down easy!

You should have gone to Earnst restaurant and also got a burger at Kopps because they are the bomb!
Kopps is so good! We stop for custard everytime we come through Milwaukee!
Maybe also go to the spice shop and to Utsingers for the brats and sausage to go
I tell people who come to visit. When you cross the state line two things happen automatically. One, your cholesterol level goes up. Next, your blood alcohol level goes up too. Prost! 🍻
Both are true 💯
Did yall take any of the Brewery tours?
Not this time but have done Lake Front Brewery in the past!
No fish fry! Come on!
Fair enough!
Ever tried spotted cow
Spotted cow is the best! We always pick up a case when we cross the border!

You’re thinking of City Hall in the intro.
@@JohnStrandt Holy SH^^, I could have sworn it was the AB Clock. Is this a Mandela Effect?
Just an tip, don't hold your beer stein with two hands(like in the vid) or people will think you're soft.

Maders is terrible - overrated, overpriced & often cooked incorrectly!!!
