- Unboxing 25 graded Morgan dollars from PCGS, NGC, and ANACS that I was able to get from the coin store! I always enjoy doing grading-related videos and figured that this would be an interesting series to just test out. Often I do actually grading unveils, but don't have hordes of coins constantly coming back and realized that this would be a good way to get some content and practice grading along with you. My guesses were not the best... but I was always within 2 grades and we had some very cool coins and toning in the mix. Going forward, I'll definitely show you some high end or super rare coinage in these types of videos!

Good video. You did much better than I could do guessing the grades. I have a few graded Morgans, mine are all MS-63 and MS-64. I would love to pick up a 66. Soon hopefully

OGH or old green holders bring a preium when they sell. Lots of people think they were much harder on the grading back then and people like to gamble and crack them out and resubmit them hoping to achieve higher grades.

Tough to separate higher mint states. A small scratch seems to be the difference. I think I will leave it to the pros, lol. Thanks for a great video.

I hit 10 coins , 8 undergrades -6 by 1 grade, 2 by 2 grades. 2 overgrades by 1 grade. I missed all the toners-- the AUs and XFs, weren't even fair. Good stuff tho

Well done! Sounds like you did quite a nice job.
Some nice coins, Christian! There is such a fine line between an MS-64 and MS-65. And graders have different things they look for. So don't feel bad that you missed a few. I doubt anyone would have gotten them all correct!

Very informative. It's obvious that scratching or scuffing on the face is extremely detrimental to the grade,no matter how nice the rest of the coin looks like.
I would like the see a video reveal on lower grade Morgans( VG-VF);that would be more applicable to my collection. 😉
That's a good idea! Tough to get them in the lower grades from most dealers - may have to be tougher dates!
Yes,I was inferring rarer dates,like Carson City coins.

Those are generally 60 and up aren't they ? . . depending on how badly bag marked.
