i dont get the hype. sure its new and all, but i just dont feel it. fps are horrible and it feels worse than the beta. also matchmaking isnt that great, but not bad tbf. it just doesnt feel finished or polished
It still has potential. A couple new maps, weapons, gadgets etc. and it'll be fine :)

Is The Finals a AAA title tho? The graphics are simplistic are not mind blowing (they're good tho), gameplay is very simplistic (which is not bad, but it is simple), it has like 5 maps, 3 modes, no real special features. Like it's a great game, I haven't had that much fun in a long time, but I wouldn't count it as a AAA title.

How is this gameplay more simplistic than something like for example CoD, Valorant, Apex or really any other FPS game? And a somewhat unique gamemode, tournament mode and unrivaled level destruction are not considered special features enough? What are considered "special" features then?

So that the bots pushing content on this channel can create buzz by implying a game is dead when it just came out. Honestly the title of this video is so misleading, I’m assuming since Shroud had ranked in the video before this one that he definitely grew to like the game but they waited to drop this because negativity gets more views.

Game has lots of potential still, it just came out and they're addressing issues already. They nerfed aim assist which a lot of players hated and quit the game and that's honestly a big win given how dominant controllers are on all other shoots with cross play are. I think if you give the game like 1 year it'll be perfect (obviously a few months to be better), it sounds like a long time but CSGO took around 4 years to be good.
This is a great game only problem I have had was the constant mid-game crashes other than that a great game can't wait to see where it goes!

The bad latency spikes are still there in game just not as frequent. They just recently nerfed the aim assist. Now just some balancing needs to be done and we will be on the wright track.
When was this recorded? Ive been playing this non-stop with friends and never felt lag. Just disconnects which were really annoying.

@@justinw7756 you've never played chess if you don't see the chess concepts that can be involved in this game. at least in tournament mode, there's a lot of thought and strategy that can go into how your team plays. every move counts. sure, it's an FPS, but you can't run around fragging if you wanna win.

On the back of plenty of other comments, Ive never experienced lag like this. Occasional spikes, but nothing major that affected gameplay
The Finals is just one of those games where every day RUclipsrs get clicks with headlines about how doomed it is, with comments all about how much fun they are having with it.
The big streamers hate it because its an actual team based objective forward game to win. Hard gameplag for the clippy streamers.
I think streamers hate it because all the Apex sponsorships they are getting is being threatened now. On some days The Finals has more players than Apex on steam charts.

Shroud doesn’t make the videos on his channel which is even more annoying. Whoever is pushing content on this channel just decided to make a click bait title and probably didn’t even play the game which is just sad. It’s honestly a better shooter than COD and whatever editor put the title on the video definitely doesn’t realize the impact that titles like this can have on new games.

This is my new favorite game.. It has SO MUCH potential.. I'm excited to see where it goes. Hopefully they add TDM.
I think TDM would be too imbalanced, everyone would just run heavies with 3 RPG’s and tewmwipe off cooldowns.

Love the game, the only downside for me is the fixed team size of 3. I'd love a 5v5 or 6v6 team deathmatch/capture the flag/hardpoint/domination gamemode since now me and my friends have to split and/or play another game because we don't want to leave just 1 going solo.

The lack of a role queue ruins the game for solo players. It needs Tank, Healer, DPS roles to queue up as and a setting to only allow 1 of each to be paired with. I'd say about 75% of my games were unplayable bc the game requires a decent team comp and I'd get double lights or a turret player. No matter what I played, we couldn't possibly have a competitive team comp. It got so bad I'd just jump off the map and play on my phone when I got double lights and the players weren't good enough to make it work (which only happened with 1 team of double lights that were clearly playing as a duo and sticking close to me as the tank).
The devs threw away their opportunity to have a popular game by focusing on $$$ instead of making the game playable, just like every other game on the market right now. So sick of all these GARBAGE tier skins, battlepasses, and other useless monetization that gets stuffed into games while the game itself gets neglected. They deserve the downward trend on steam charts :)

@maverick4255 has much more personality than most recent AAA games. The finals has a higher 24hour peak, a good chunk of tf2 players base is bots, and the finals has a huge console player base. Brother I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
Love this game. Haven’t played a single game with any sort of lag.
I have experienced terrible ping but aside from that the game plays really well super fun huge potential and the devs for this game are responsive and work their asses off on the game I’m confident the ping and server issues will be resolved and the game will only get better from here
in my 50hrs of playtime i havent had ping problems once on EU servers, just a few crashes.. are u on NA?

i love the fact that this game doesn't immediately make you a god if you have good aim unless you use the sniper or something. this game takes way more skill than just aim, i love it so much
I think over time aim will start to matter more as people learn how to play objectives and learn all the gadgets. At the moment it's all still a bit new so it's easier to win fights and matches with skills other than aim.

I only played Beta and two days after final release and i have to say after release it was pretty unplayable. Also the Keybinds changed for me and i couldn't hit a shot (probably ping)
I have had more fun playing this game than anything else in a long time! I love it.

Weird, I’ve been playing for weeks and haven’t experienced any of this.
this is the first time i’ve seen issues like his. I have over 150 hrs played and never seen this
only lag I ever had was my cpu bottlenecking. never experienced any other types of lag
They fixed the cheating and aim assist program within 3 weeks of release. No other game has done that. It just needs monthly updates like rust to keep the player base up

The problem with the Finals is, that converting a mode to solo doesn't make it a new mode. This game needs 1 or maybe 2 completely different variants of modes. New gadgets, 1 or 2 new maps, more weapons, more stuff to unlock without paying money. More progression of some kind. The Finals is pretty new and I understand that but to survive in an oversaturated FPS market it needs more content. The foundation is already great.

Meanwhile there are videos of people absolutely owning lobbies with the throwing knives. You need to have dash and figure out the slight delay they have after you click and then remember they are hitscan.
The game looked the same for me until 3 days ago it magically cleared up and looked better after the update. Shroud must have played before the update. 😊

When you were talking about crossplay you hit that heavy running left to right it just didn't count for some reason. Also I wish they didn't remove M&K support for console its super unfair. Aim assist in this game gets you killed more than anything so you have to turn it off anyway. Also my sens is at 500 and aim accel at 85% but its still not fast enough to use the sword or the dagger...

the only thing that puts me off from playing this game is the fact there is no secondary gun/pistol. it may sound stupid but that's what I feel. idk if they did any balance changes but if I remember correctly it was a Uzi. It was a tickle machine, it couldn't even finish someone off with a full mag.

No secondary because Pistol is strong as Main weapon, so what to put as secondary?

This game is the most fun I have had on an fps game in years. Unfortunately I am suffering with some weird fps drops and a lot of input lag in close fights on a decent PC. If they fix it this will be my favourite game in years.

I love this game but the medium meta is killing it for me rn. I like the different classes and want other things to be more powerful. It feels like I’m selling if I use anything other than medium - especially light. I laugh when I see light players they are so easy to kill with the FCAR and Recon.

Idk man I still think the potential is there. It has been losing players but thats partly due to the annoying meta (nukes, FCAR/recon) and lack of new content. Devs did say the next update (which is either tomorrow or later this week), will have major balance changes, and new content. Hoping for some new guns/maps/specializations etc. They can do some good stuff with this game, I hope it succeeds
the game just dropped season 1 not too long ago now and ur annoyed by lack of new content thats pretty rich when the game is in a great state with 50% skill 50% rng the meta isn’t that annoying if you know how to counter them im a solo diamond light and ive played against some sweaty recons but they are lightwork when you can outsmart and counter

This game is awesome, it has so much potential! I almost never had any lag issues, prob Shroud just put region on automatic lol. The real problem is the FPS games community who HAVENT even tried to play the game and just throw mud at it. Its one of the most ambitious projects by far. Its just feels so much better after all that bored and killed in the trash by developers Call of Duty and Battlefield games, its just insane!

The biggest issue with the game is they need to fix their matchmaking. In ranked your actual rank it gives you doesn't matter at all since it's based off your skill not you rank. Essentially you can be bronze 3 but really good and just go against diamonds the entire time.
