The wooden frame is laminated then hollowed out. They reinforce with steel pipe where needed. Also these are street bikes not mountain bikes.
sorry but woods are weak
there are weak and strong wood, some can be broken by a 7 years old kid but other type can be stronger than aluminium which is already used to make bikes
