I have listened to quite a few of Dallas Willard's talks now, and I feel in this very short talk he seems to have distilled the wisdom he gained during his life into a concise, considered, and pithy challenge to consider again what it means to enter kingdom life, and then to operate from that life. Echoing the thoughts of others, thank you for uploading this talk.
I’m sure he kbew time was running out here yet, as always, was living, in the here & now, in the Kingdom. Dying and being sent back strengthened my hope and surety of the eternity I’m already living in but teaching by people such as Dallas helped get me there before that happened
The audience was ready to giggle and take more lightly things that Dallas was not joking about. He says it in a way that makes it seems comical that we could misunderstand some of these truths of the scripture, but really it is quite somber when someone misunderstands…
We’re used to teachers trying to make light of serious topics, it’s an embarrassing habit. I just found about this great man, God Almighty wants me to go deeper, He’s leading me and I’m at awe, but I shouldn’t be because He’s my gentle JESUS. 🕊️
Rev 3:20. He stands at the door and knocks. The reason God "wants to be sought" is because He knows it is in that state of being that he can best reach us. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. Your intention, your attention on Him is important.
